I think its beautiful that Severus Snape remained in love with Lily, even after her marriage to James. He loved her from the moment he saw her, and from then on he always loved her, His patronous was a doe, like Lily's, and it seemed as though... in the end, he loved harry as if he were his own son.

why is everybody soo judgemental?! It´s just fantasies, everyone knows that it wouldn´t work because if Lily didn´t choose James there would be no Harry. But it´s fun to think in difrent directions sometimes. I liked this story. I think it´s adorable.

That's ridiculus diva633 Snape loved Lily from the moment he saw her in the park with Petunia. he made the rude comment because he was embarrassed about needing/having her help and didn't want her ridiculed by her fellow Gryfindors and make it worse on him since James was in love with her. He wasn't taken because he really didn't have a life outside of Hogwarts and of his reputation of being a death eater. He never will because he's dead. He was a honorable man who died for the greater good.
James was an azz, we all know the type, good looking and popular with a popular clique, well loved and well liked and the life of the party him and his friends, where as snape although higly intelligent not very good looking, shy and with his nose buried in a book and too scared of rejection to tell Lily how he felt although I think there is a scene in the book when she becomes aware of his more then friendly feelings toward her.
Very fun. I don't think it was that once incident that made the difference. Methinks Snape would have had to have turned his life around and fairly early for Lilly to have loved him. If so, then perhaps Neville would have been the "Chosen One."
it think most people don't realize that Lily was Severus's friend not lover although severus loved Lily. It never says anywhere that they kissed and held hands.

i took it as "look at who i am by watching my memories," but i think you hit the nail on the head, and it adds soooo much more to the story that way!

That's ridiculus diva633 Snape loved Lily from the moment he saw her in the park with Petunia. he made the rude comment because he was embarrassed about needing/having her help and didn't want her ridiculed by her fellow Gryfindors and make it worse on him since James was in love with her. He wasn't taken because he really didn't have a life outside of Hogwarts and of his reputation of being a death eater. He never will because he's dead. He was a honorable man who died for the greater good.

James was an azz, we all know the type, good looking and popular with a popular clique, well loved and well liked and the life of the party him and his friends, where as snape although higly intelligent not very good looking, shy and with his nose buried in a book and too scared of rejection to tell Lily how he felt although I think there is a scene in the book when she becomes aware of his more then friendly feelings toward her.

Very fun. I don't think it was that once incident that made the difference. Methinks Snape would have had to have turned his life around and fairly early for Lilly to have loved him. If so, then perhaps Neville would have been the "Chosen One."

But JKR did say that Lily could've grown to love Sev (had it not been for the "mudblood" incident), so I think I lot of people cling to alternate universes where that potential does grow into something mutual.

No, but then again we only see a fraction of Snape's memories--who's to say what they did and didn't do? While they may never have kissed, I'm sure they woudl have held hands, even if only in a friendly way!

Its hard to say who Lily loved. Did she really love James or did she have deep feelings for Snape? Its hard to tell! One thing is for certain though, they could of had somwthing if Snape said the "magic" words!
