  • 47 points & not one 3point shot...he went to work

  • 2:57 on...

  • If anyone had any questions about who's the Great Master of basketball, this video should answer it.

  • 2:53 It would be a technical nowadays

  • This era of MJ alone would destroy and dominate the nba today

  • This was the best year for any individual player in NBA history. Jordan average 35 points a game. Averaged over 3 steals a game. I think he had 5 boards 4 assist a game. as well. He was DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR. Only two guards have ever done that the other being Ron Artest. The difference is puring in 35 points a game with that which is just insane.

  • @Bigturns33

"Only two guards have ever done that the other being Ron Artest"

    That's where you're wrong..

    Sidney Moncrief = 2x DPOY

    Alvin Robertson = DPOY

    Michael Cooper = DPOY

    Gary Payton = DPOY

And MJ faced (and dominated) ALL of 'em LOL!!

  • INSTEAD OF CALLING HIM MICHAEL "AIR" JORDAN THEY SHOULD'VE NAMED HIM MICHAEL "FLYING THROUGH THE AIR TO SLAM THE DUNK" JORDAN

  • Props goes out to Clyde "The Glide" Drexler for giving MJ his props. I remember at this time skeptics saying MJ could'nt win the big games and he could'nt lead his teams like Magic & Bird could. Duh, of course he could'nt, he did'nt have nearly the supporting cast that Magic & Bird had at the time. Once MJ got that supporting cast like those cats, well we saw what obviously happened.

  • Jordan averaged 37 points a game that year in the greatest era of basketball!

  • There are plenty of people that can jump as high as MJ; but, who in the NBA now or then has/had MJ's hangtime. It's like he's floating at the peak of his jump...

  • Lol, 2:37 - 2:41, Jordan was like,"Here, here, I'm open!!" White boy went,"Okay, here. :3"

  • @NickEppo thats no ordinary white boy.

  • @NickEppo John Stockton="white boy"? smh...

  • @merrrlo Look at him? White as fvck? Smd?

  • "Jordan, hits them both he has 47..." nbd

  • fukn beast

  • No its actually Jordan>Kobe>Dwayne> A hamster > Lebron

  • I much preferred the closer fitting, sleeker uniforms of the 80's than the over-sized, baggy uniforms of today.

  • Unrelated note: during Jordan's first multiple years in the league... the continuation rule didn't exist. Just sayin. (ie... get Hobe the ENTIRE F*CK out this conversation)

  • @HooliganMovement Nah. You gotta put Kone in the convo. By now he's earned it. BUT, MJ changed the definition of the word "excellent". Jordan was bigger than the game.

  • @upabittoolate Kobe is a top 50 player. Arguably top 25 (although I'd have him somewhere in the 30's... personally). Kobe is not MJ caliber. And anyone who puts Kobe in the same sentence as MJ should put Allen Iverson there as well... bc Kobe IS a 6'6" AI... w/ rings (thanks to Shaw & Gasol/Odom) & a better 3pt %.

  • @HooliganMovement

Kobe might crack my top ten, and is either just ahead of or behind West for second best 2 guard ever.

  • Prior to the league gutting defenses... Kobe's numbers had him in Scottie Pippen/Clyde Drexler territory (although both men were far more fundamentally sound, especially on the defensive end in 1 on 1 situations). You put a prime Drexler in today's league and he'd have better numbers than Kobe. Like I said, Kobe's top 50 (which is an incredible feat in itself), but nowhere near MJ, or Jerry West for that matter.

  • @HooliganMovement Sure he's MJ caliber. He's earned that gloss. Your AI argument doesn't work because AI has no jewelry. Also, you're assuming that Mike didn't have help. Pippen, Rodman, Kerr (yes Kerr. He has the all-time 3pt percentage). Hell, the 1st around he had Horace. Horace only holds the Bulls' record for blocks & rebounds.

C'mon. THINK. Yes. Teams win rings; not just players. But rings are the basic rubric. Kobe got dem.

  • @upabittoolate Jordan made his teammates better. Kerr only ever shot over 50% from 3 one season w/o MJ. Shaq was putting up 38/15 while CARRYING Kobe to rings. And Gasol willed himself & LA to 2 more IN SPITE OF KOBE. Not to mention that Gasol was leading Memphis to 50 season in the West, while Kobe couldn't keep the Lakers on .500! Kobe's rings are ALL due to dominant (offensively and defensively) big men. Period. AI CARRIED a Sixers team worse than Kobe's worst LA team to the FINALS!

  • @HooliganMovement Yes. Jordan made his Kerr better. That's what a good teammate does. But you're focusing on that part instead of embracing the larger point. MJ had help. Kobe had help. That's how teams win: collective effort toward an individual goal.

Nevertheless, you have to put Kobe into the conversation because he's close to Jordan in terms of accomplishment.

  • @upabittoolate So since we're talking about accomplishments... Bill Russell's fucks any and everyone else's in the ass for all time. Period. He will NEVER be eclipsed, especially considering he squared off against the #2 bballer of all time for his entire career. Kobe has NEVER won SHIT... 5 rings aside. Kobe is John Cena, whereas MJ is the entire Attitude Era. End of story.

  • @HooliganMovement wow, nice job contradicting yourself... "Kobe has NEVER won SHIT... 5 ring aside" pay attention next time, ok?

  • @SpecOpsSpecialist The implication was that if you look closely at the situations surrounding those 5 championships... 4 of them were won in spite of Kobe, and 1 (the 3rd) was won w/ his assistance to a far more dominant player (Shaq, obviously).

  • @HooliganMovement Russell played in an era when ther was no lottery or free agency. What does that mean? It means the rich stayed rich. You're acting like Russell didn't have all-time greats as teammates. You're also acting like he'd've won just as many rings if he were drafted by the Kansas City Kings or the San Diego Clippers. Nothing could be further from the truth.

John Cena isn't in a competitve sport. Spare me.

Kobe deserves to be in the conversation. He's earned it.

  • @upabittoolate Shaquille O'Neal was a far more dominant player than EVERYONE Russell played with... COMBINED. Pau Gasol is more than likely better than any single player Russell played with as well (Havlicek included). Those are honest, unbiased basketball summations. No one can honestly compare Kobe Bryant to Michael Jordan in any realm other than appearance of playing style (bc Kobe ripped everything off MJ and improved upon nothing, save 3pt %) without twisting facts to do so.

  • @HooliganMovement Right now, you're sounding like you don't know any NBA history. Hondo & Cous, must've been bums on your book. I guess Auerbach was a garbage coach too. C'mon bruh. Don't crate false equivalencies. Kobe earned every ring he has. Pau Gasoft is better than HONDO? BUZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!

Also, I never said Kobe "improved" on what Jordan did. I said that, given his accomplishments, we have to put Kobe in the conversation.

  • @upabittoolate How about you hit me up after Stern's Kool Aid wears off and we can actually talk basketball.

  • @HooliganMovement That's pretty weak. Tell you what. We won't talk at all. I prefer conversations with people who possess 3-digit IQs. Deuces.

  • @upabittoolate LOL Kobe is close to Jordan in terms of accomplishment? Let's review a bit. MJ has 10 scoring titles, Kobe has 2. MJ has 6 Finals MVPs, Kobe has 2. MJ has 5 MVPs, Kobe has 1. MJ has 3 steals titles, Kobe has 0. MJ has 1 DPOY, Kobe has 0.

And the gap in statistics is incredibly wide. Kobe has less of all the good stats (points, reb, ast, fg%, stl, blocks), and more of all the bad ones (turnovers, personal fouls, and technicals).

  • @boredfun91 Rings?....

    That's my point.

  • @upabittoolate I guess Fisher is pretty close too then. And Horry surpassed him. That point isn't a very good one. No he is not Jordan's level. You have to do more than be on a team that wins rings, you have to lead that team. Kobe has only done that twice. Rings are a terrible barometer for individual achievement. And please address my other point, how exactly is Kobe close in accomplishment given what I have listed?

  • @boredfun91 You're an idiot.

  • @upabittoolate Solid rebuttal.

  • @boredfun91 Jordan has led the bulls to 6 championships with six finals mvps. Kobe only did that 2 times as you mentioned. Jordan is a better defender, and a better scorer. They are both great clutch players.

  • @upabittoolate Team achievement. Shaq was the leader for Lakers and most dominant player in the league hence the 3 consecutive rings and finals MVPs. That was Shaq's team until Kobe ran him out of LA. As a leader Kobe has won 2 rings, and everyone who is honest knows Gasol was the real finals MVP for the last one.

  • @bolder2009 Rings?...

  • @boredfun91 fool

  • @TheCrazygogo He is a fool for stating the facts? Get your mouth out of Kobe's dick.

  • @boredfun91 Agree with your assessment, all facts. But also if you look at some of the advanced metrics... for instance Hollinger's Player Efficiency Rating. Kobe for his career is 23.59. MJ is best all-time with 27.91. Interesting note though, LeBron is second all-time with 27.10.

  • stats alone dont count when the talent level sucks. Anyone can dominate against bums. What matters more is who he went up against.

  • @KripDrip bums huh? go look at the list of hof players in the 80s and 90s and see how many "bums" mj played against u arrogant little boy. let me rephrase for u, anyone can dominate in a game where once u get touched, its a foul(definition of todays game). the rules make kobe, lebron, wade, durant etc. look AMAZING when in reality they would barely score 20 ppg if those softies played in an era where clotheslining u in the face would only SOMETIMES get called as a foul. kids these days...smh

  • @tbird09100 , Try not to get too frustrated with these confused kids lol. They dont quite understand the difference between players that are bums and players that are great but look like bums when playing against MJ. Jordan clearly outshined everyone whenever he was on the court but Kobe doesnt always do that so they think that means the players must be better now than they were then.

  • 5:21 ... Not in a million years LeBron will possess this kind of footwork.

  • is there a webpage to watch old jordan games full length and HD ?

  • I wish I was older so I could've watched Michael play during the 90's.

  • kobe+lebron+1 ring = MJ

  • why did they call that goal-tending?

  • Michael Jordan is a man among toddlers

  • 4 people that disliked this thought the title had to do with something dirty.

  • @GznAndre lol thought they would see kobe giving MJ a blowjob

  • if i played in the nba with jordan and saw his tongue come out, i would just move...

  • announcers: he has 47 nbd

  • and people say Kobe is better than Jordan.. not even close.

  • That was a typical game of MJ at his best: Dunks, incredible hang-time, amazing shots and moves that you can only dream about.

  • stockton wanted no part of that 1:00

  • 1987 was a Great year. Wrestling was great.. Boxing with Tyson in his prime, Music with Michael Jackson ruling, sports, sitcoms and tv shows that people actually cared about, video arcade games that rocked, Saturday morning and weekday afternoon cartoons, everything.. name it.

  • @at1212b you are soo right dude... I miss those times.

  • @at1212b Sounds great, I wish I was alive during that time...

  • @at1212b wrestling LOL gtfo

  • dayum, what an awesome game, jordan was doing it all, he was on FIRE!

  • no one can dislike a jordan video...besides those 4 lost people

  • I must say though Jordan does have alot of love from the refs.

  • Jordan>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kobe>Lebron

  • how tha fuck can u watch this and even compare him to lebron...

  • jordan demostro antes y despues que podia ganarle al jazz de utah !!!!

  • Looks like is a game of Robots vs Jordan

  • why is there a DISLIKE button??? ok we'll give way for 4 DUMB people

  • Jordan does a lot of walking...but i guess all the greats do

  • omg MICHAEL JORDAN IS UNBELIVABLE-HOLY SHIT HOW MANY TIMES DOES THE REPORTER SAYS HIS NAME-ITS UNBELIEVABLBE-HE IS NOT HUMAN-NO SIR!

  • One of the best plays i have ever seen in my life

  • more like jordan ,Magic,Bird, then Shaq. Kobe is a fucking Petefile. Spell it however you want. He was arrested when he was 18 for diddling some little boy. Google it if you dont believe me. He said it was consentual or some shit like that.

  • more like Jordan>D.Rose>Kobe>Lebron

  • @Take3TV What? Why is D rose even on there? Hype ftw...

  • @Take3TV LeBron is a better basketball player than Kobe & D Rose. Don't believe the hype.

  • Jordan>LeBron>Kobe.

  • i realized why this video looks so strange... no... fucking... ads....

  • guys.. it's... Jordan>Scalebrine>KwameBrown>Kobe>Rose>Lebron... Get it right people!

  • @jokersoulja lol

  • @jokersoulja

    jokersoulja 'nuf said...

  • @jokersoulja idk man you could make a serious arguement that scalebrine is better than jordan.

  • Haha the commentating is so different compared to today

  • 4:38 That wasn't goaltending, it was SOULBENDING. Mike made the NBA's heart pump Kool Aid.

  • jordan>>rose>>lebron>>kobe

  • Michael Jordan is the BEST EVER!!! I"m glad I got to see him play while I was groing up!

  • he was the best and he will be the best of all time

  • In case you didnt know, the dunk at 03:23 is the outline shap for his clothing brand "jordan"

  • @iTzSuperEugene41 Actually not the case. It's a pose Jordan did in a photo shoot, not a silhouette of a dunk as commonly believed. I thought for years it was supposed to be him taking off from the foul line during the 85 dunk contest until reading otherwise in an interview with Mike himself.

  • at 4:25 did anyone else hear someone say "AWWH SHIT!" ??

  • MJ had talents coming out of his eyes.

Kobe on the other hand doesnt... so quit the comparison, not even fair.

  • Jordan > Wade > Lebron > Kobe ;)

  • @CabooseSniper Not even dude... lets hop off that heat bandwagon please

  • @CabooseSniper gotta be a Heat fan for saying that dumb shit cause Heat fans have no fucking clue about basketball......just go play on the beach dude, ok?

  • guys seem kind of slow,or is it just me

  • Do you see Jordans foot work at 5:21? DISGUSTING! He was too good.

  • Hey fellas, please watch my NBA videos if you like action, emotions and passion!

  • jordan is great but looks like his wife's been hangin' around chattin' with the milkman a bit much. "his" kids have absolutely zero basketball talent. awful.

  • Nobody can compare to 87-92 Jordan. That version was just a machine.

  • Jordan butt slaps stockton. lol

  • Michael berly pses the ball but he is great

  • @thealbertogo What are you talking about he had nine assists?? Thats point guard numbers! These are highlights ya big dummy! They ain't showin passes. plus if you score 47 points in a game obviously not passing isn't your problem.

  • @thealbertogo You do know that MJ AVERAGED 37pts and 9asts in the same season, right???

  • The Jazz had this game until Karl Malone's breakaway foul. I guess Malone couldn't even beat at any point in their careers.

  • Title:That's what she said =D

  • @wcmaster26 that doesn't make sense... the guys the one that has a dick.

  • a hippitty hoppitty move xD

  • you hear jordan atleast 300 times lol

  • ITS PRETTY! ITS SO PRETTY

  • this defined jordan......for me at least

  • That whole "is he big enough" is one of jordans greatest lines! i love it!

  • Holy Jordan! No foul at 5:14... and you can see by the body Jordans body control of 6:50 that these fouls seemed really common at that time...

  • que control del juego.. que bestia el tio..jordan era brutal

  • 0:44-0:47 nyc move by MJ..was that stockton guarding him??he was lyk"oh man" after jordan made the shot:D

  • that is why he is the best ever. period.

  • jordan was so dam quick in his prime, if you put him in todays league he would average 50 points a game

  • 3:20 !!

  • Comment removed

  • Mel Turpin committed suicide today.

  • He actually got higher than Carter's Olympic dunk, Turpin I believe was 7'2" he just plain jumped over him!

  • @acp4567 That's a great observation. I was thinking the same thing, that Jordan was actually HIGHER than Carter. I would give the edge to Carter because that dunk looked more humiliating.

  • "oh my goodness u talkin about a hammer he was looking down in the basket on that dunk" freaking awesome

  • yes it was jordan it was definently big enough

  • 3:26: That is one of the best in game dunks I've ever seen

  • jordan = GOAT. deal with it.

  • He was so good.

  • money mike tro danzéréééééééé!on diré lo ga té aime fé mal utah!

  • ok i know he's the best and all...but what the hell are these defenders doing?? several times they just left him all alone for like 3 seconds and everybody just stands and watches what he's gonna do next...shoot the jumper and make it of course...? :45 1:12

  • @babygurl59033 Early in his career people thought the best way to guard MJ was to let him have the outside shot and not let him drive to the lane.

  • I sure did forget how good Jordan was. He looks so natural out there. No one can compare to him!

  • Those freethrows look pretty sloppy to me

  • @jeunenen jelus much huh

  • i dont know if its just my shitty speakers but i didnt hear the fan yell out or wat jordan said. so i dont know if the OP is talkin shit or not

  • OMG!!!!!! 3:24

  • it's incredible to see how much his shot changed. his shot was raw here, but later in his career it was so fundamentally sound.

  • holy shit you almost see his wings at 2:41

  • 3: 32 Im a call thAt the Mercedez Benz Dunk.

    East West University.

  • jordan didnt rreally dunk on stockton....he got around him

  • you can`t compare no one to him. he is something you only see one time.one day maybe but no time soon.6`6 the G.O.A.T !

  • :O (Hay que verlo varias veces porque cuesta creerlo).

  • SUPER-DEFENSE,SUPER-OFFENSE,in this video you can see

  • oh my goodness... he can fly

  • lol at 5:20

  • And the fan replies: "I said someone your own size, not bigger than you!"

  • LOL

  • they are saying HELP!!! everytime that he starts to drive... that shows how great he was.

  • wow wow wow i knew about this before but watching this makes me see how much of jordan's game kobe copies, aside from that tho MJ was jus an all around beast the best to ever play the game!!!!

  • yep kobe is a weak copy of MJ (even though he's awesome, you can't compare him to jordan)

  • MJ didn't even dunk on Stockton--he went around him and dunked.

  • gawd i miss these days! i was born and raised in chicago and i saw practically every game jordan was in and no one....NO ONE.. will ever be as great as he was. he was a complete ball player. offense, defense, he did it all and he wasnt selfish when it came down to finding a wide open paxton or kerr for a game winner. the bulls are pathetic now but ill always have memories and thanks to youtube, these videos to remind me of the times when the Chicago Bulls were the most feared team in the NBA.

  • wheres the dunk?! can someone show me -__-

  • 3:04 to 3:40

  • goddamn that dunk was smashmouth! :-p

  • Legend !

  • for 987 000 0000 0000 0000 million he would want to... What a legend. If only current over paid sports stars earned their cash :P

  • and this is a little example why jordan is the best player in nba history. he do what he wants, again everyone he wants

  • I was at this game.. fuqing mikel jorden.. i think I lost money on this game too.. the spread was like +5 for the jizz.

Great video by the way.. Its a damn shame Hot Rod retired this year.. he was a great broadcaster.. gave Jordan props whenever it was deserved and not a homer like most broadcasters.

  • Jordan was just a beast.

  • gaaadaaam, i know this video is edited but this muthabeep makes it seem like he knifing butta'...tooo EASY!!!

  • Jordan>Kobe>Lebron

  • @jaipaul68

    more like:

    Jordan>>>>>>>>>>Kobe>Lebron

    :)

  • @cadizbedini more like jordan>>>>>>>>scalabriene>kobe>lebron

  • @cadizbedini more like Jordan >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> anyone else who plays basketball in their entire lives..

  • @cadizbedini Y u put Lebron there? Might as well put Ostertag there while you're at it, lol.
