i have seen the prep of that car for the formula d, is not a regular gto, it was specially built to drift a lot of parts changed from the original version of the car to mention ill try to upload the video

Dude all cars have to be specially set up for drift racing. The tires changed, steering, suspension, brakes, alot of people change engines to give more power. Youd be hard pushed to find a drift car thats all stock.

Get a logitech G25 and install LFS (Live For Speed) its cheaper, you have a reset button when you mess it up and the car physics are unreal.

Its cheaper, safer and a good starting point. Then get some skid pad training then think about using a 240sx.

yeah buy the 240SX the 240 is better than the GTO at drifting since is cheaper and lighter i mean GTO is REALLY heavy and drifting will be a pain in the ass with such a heavy car

Razr89A: Drifting is just power sliding. Nothing special. Kids have been doing it for decades. Its only just recently become a recognised sport.

I guess drag racing started out the same way too.

there are more ways to do it than just powersliding, but i guess that is the easiest way to explain it.

its not just powersliding. Powersliding is just sliding. Drifing is actually a technique used by drivers since the dawn of racing. There will be some turns that would justify drifing in a road race because it keeps your RPMs high.

Driting correctly can be maintained and steered, where powersliding cannot be maintained. It'll stop as soon as you run out of directional energy.
