  • How did a Frazier clip get in to a Wang Chung's video's ?

unless it's a refrence to a old Cheers show when he mentions a song he heard on the radio

on the way to the bar "everybody get down tonight, everybody Wang Chung tonight"

  • Funniest moment for me has to be in the episode 'Look before you leap' where Frasier forgets the words to Buttons & Bows. Has me in stitches everytime!

  • "I'm hot... and foamy"

  • the funniest moment is when frasier turns on the coffe grinder and niles has his hand in the garbege dissposal i was literally rolling on the floor laughing

  • Frasier: [to Eddie] All right, young animal: learn from the master. Now, follow these time-honored traditions, and you too might get lucky with that young Pekinese peach you've been eyeing in the park. Now, for mood: Vivaldi. And then, for lighting: not so bright as to show the wrinkles, not so dark as to make her think you're hiding anything. And leaving nothing to chance...

  • funniest moment ever is when frasier is bitching about seattle and niles answers the phone acting all hard and he like why dont you come say that to my face.......oh never ou mind where i live XD

  • Obviously, a cop posted this... Only they would think this was funny. It's hardly funny, especially for a show that is packed full of humor.

  • these moments make me happy :P

  • Frasier: Hello? Operator: Seattle Police Department. Frasier: Yes! Uh, the Fine Arts Forgery Department, please. Operator: Hold on just a second sir. (turns to the other cops and calls into the Chief's office) Hey, Chief! Come and listen to this guy! (Chief comes in) Chief: What is it?Operator: Just come here and listen. (turns to the other cops and turns the phone onto speaker) Which department did you say you wanted again, sir? Frasier: The Fine Arts Forgery Department. All Cops: HAHAHAHAHA!!

  • dad there laughing at me

  • You obviously never saw Frasier "running with scissors"

  • funniest moment has to be the one where he dresses up as a clown to scare martin! the meat cleaver was overkill:P xxxxx

  • @Jessthegurl1192

Funniest moment is when Niles has to iron his trousers and sets fire to the settee.

  • At first glance, Frasier seems to be a boring comedy, but it's not. It's a good comedy.

  • Definitely ONE funny Frasier moment. Out of millions. Good times. :)

  • @rockermanmatt O.k. ... Now you're confusing me. Those who do NOT find it funny is just because they do not get the type of humor it is. The same goes for Curb Your Enthusiasm (which I love), a lot of people don't get the humor. You just confirmed that you loved Frasier & found it funny yet you don't get it? Let's just leave it to being a matter of personal taste & opinion.

  • @rockermanmatt Please don't compare Frasier with Friends. RME.

  • @rockermanmatt It's not that it's a 'smart' show, per se, but that it makes fun at being snobby & pretentious. The dad makes the show a hit because he is as real as one can get. LOL It's really sad, though it proves the point, that we have to explain it to those who really do not get it. Therefore, some are unable to enjoy a hilariously witty show.

  • LA Noire would be much more boring if there were such a department.

  • @rockermanmatt Elvis and Marylin Manson are two American musicians, whats your point? Not because two things are from the same place means they're the same, thats the logic of a "druk" person

  • @rockermanmatt Fraiser compared to friends is like apples compared to rocket ships

  • "lore valley my ass" AHHAHAHA "fine arts forgery department!" lmaaaoo, "dad they're laughing at me"

  • This is funny... but it's not the funniest moment in the show there are some way better ones :|

  • @Apb420 Then upload them, please.

  • @mnsa0676 LMFAO! Good thing you threw out an income number online-bet everyone is gonna kneel in front of the glory of your e-penis now! Nobody is going to believe that someone successful is actually petty enough to launch into such a long rant and need to flex their alleged financial muscles over a couple of insults from an internet troll!

  • @mnsa0676 Lol! What a loser. Has your cute internet intellectual act gotten you far in life?

  • @mnsa0676 How many spins around the thesaurus did you take before finding the word "puerile," ya prick?

  • @Stevedore2010 I'm assuming I must have replied to a comment you left a long time ago? I can't even remember what I said :/

Anyways, that's an interesting fact, never knew that before :)

  • Funny but not funniest. "So I'm alone, because I'm afraid of being alone!?" or "Or better yet, why don't we jump on a bicycle built for two, ride over there ourselves and ask her what's so strange about us" and two of my favourite lines

  • @DaKrazyKatt That's one of my favorite scenes "So I'm alone, because I'm afraid of being alone!?" I wish they had that clip up on youtube but I can't find it.

  • It's funny, but it isn't that great...

  • Hilarious!!!

  • Wit-based humor is totally my thing, that's what Frasier is all about.

    Witty, classy and funny.

Unlike every other show on TV, "oooohhh, we're dumb, laugh!"

  • The point is, there is no such department in a regular police station. His dad is tweaking him for being such a snob.

  • @CriticalListener Gotcha, thanks for the info.

  • @CriticalListener way to figure that one out! :D

  • @CriticalListener That really needed to be explained...?

  • I really like Frasier, but I don't get this joke. Can someone explain it to me? I'm really wanting to know.

  • Don't me wrong i find this funny but this is no where near the funnest moment, i much prefer high crane drifter as a source of awesome Frasier moments "Well i'll just add that to my list of reasons to die!"

  • @headfirst1987

I love that episode so much. "Perhaps what you need is an etiquette lesson!" Or how about Niles? "I was speaking to my brother, but to put it in language you can understand, 'buckbuckbuckbuck!' lol I'm laughing just thinking about it.

  • @Poptartfrog

"People of Seattle, listen to me! We are not Barbarians, we are not Neanderthals and we are NOT FRENCH! D'YOU HEAR THAT YOU UP THERE?!?!"

  • @headfirst1987 "People of Seattle, listen to me! We are not barbarians, we are not Neanderthals, and we are not FRENCH!"

  • @TinorialPeredhil "I'm sorry no matter what the provocation, there is no earthly justification for...SETTING SOMEONE'S LAWN ON FIRE!"

  • @headfirst1987 Yes, there's too many to choose from, though certainly (in terms of dialogue) two top contenders would be when Niles complains to Frasier on the balcony that he gave up La Traviata tickets to accompany dad to a tractor pull while Frasier struggles to justify dropping out in favor of meeting with a date; and when Frasier (S4E8) says Martin made a point: "Yes, Dad, with all the subtlety Mr. Van Damme displayed when he jet-packed into the Vatican to subdue that nasty Pope imposter!"

  • The guy saying this scene isn't clever or funny is actually correct IMO. Frasier is a funny show but the writing is not particulary intelligent or subtle, it's actually pretty obvious straightforward humour. The talented cast and chemistry between the characters is what makes the show great, not the writing. Frasier is in many ways a sort of refined Three's Company-esque sitituional comedy with a few wise cracks to fill in the gaps.

  • @sanfordsson Plus all the dynamics in the show are just humorous, like Niles' 'secret' attraction to Daphne, Frasier and his dad having no compatibility whatsoever, which I can relate to, and stuff like that. Yeah, it's not a crackup kind of show but I enjoy it for what it is. :)

  • The Seattle police do in fact have a forgery department, made up of 7 detectives and a sergeant, which would deal in such a case. Why it should be funny to ask at the police station of a major city for the fine arts forgery department I do not know. If someone thinks a work of fine art, and a painting comes into that category, is forged then the police would be the first people to call. This is a cheap crack which is neither funny nor clever. There are a thousand funnier moments on Frasier.

  • @kevinastraw Hmm....

  • @kevinastraw Don't worry, Frasier's comedy is not supposed to be catched by everyone. A forgery department may exsist; what makes the scene funny is that "Fine Arts". It was meant to show Frasier's sophisticated naïvety, typical of a man who did not grow up in the streets, and the attempt of his father to make him come to the earth, a place where neither "Fine Arts Forgery Department" nor even justice are expected to exist. Maybe not the "funniest Frasier moment ever", but certainly funny.

  • @walkietalkie74 You do not get the point. We are being asked to laugh at a situation which would not arise. Had Frasier simply phoned the police and asked for the fine arts forgery department, it would have been a particularly dumb desk clerk who would have not known what he meant. If you discover a painting is forged you phone the police. The laugh in this case is obtained on false premises. If you think that the phrase "fine arts" is itself risible then you need an education.

  • @kevinastraw LOL. Your answer just confirms that Frasier is not for everyone. Take it easy, man, you should probably watch something "simpler" and less brilliant ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • @kevinastraw ROTFL!.... if you don't like Frasier, you are free not to watch it. You are also free to laugh at Martin; do whatever you want. Sit coms are just about situations that would hardly arise in real life. Weren't they be a little exasperate, they wouldn't amuse anyone. Yes, "fine arts forgery department" is just a funny expression. You don't find it funny. Good, don't laugh. Believe me, everyone can live with that, me included ;-)

  • @walkietalkie74 You are getting angry and abusive now - another sign of a lost argument.

  • @kevinastraw LOL! "angry"? AHAHAHAHAH.... I don't get angry with a nickname, man. Just calm down, take it easy and get a life ;-)

  • @walkietalkie74 You attack the man instead of his argument - always a sign of weakness. There is a strong streak of (deliberate) philistinism in Frasier - that is, ignorance and derision of the arts - and this scene encapsulates that. We are expected to laugh with Martin and at Frasier but it is Martin who is the joke. because he thinks "fine arts" is a joke. The fact of life is that a fine art forgery IS a police matter.

  • @kevinastraw I already exposed my point of view in my very first reply. Your argument about Frasier is so weak that all one can say is: watch someone else, 'cause you would probably never be able to get this sort of "light" comedy. About "attacking the man", it's you who attacked me. Just reread what you wrote.

  • @walkietalkie74 You are going too far with this - @kevinastraw is taking the joke too seriously, its just a joke on a sitcom, it doesn't need to be absolutely correct because its a good, well written joke.

Kevinastraw obviously likes Frasier, but is just stating that this joke isn't as funny as others/particularly funny.

You are both being silly, its a joke, it doesn't matter - let it be

  • @corpsemunger We let it be a long ago, silly.

  • @walkietalkie74 oh yeh, I am silly.

  • bloody love frasier!

  • 4 People could'nt get a hold of the fine arts forgery department

  • fraiser rocks

  • fraiser rocks!!!!!!!

  • Frasier isn't a dumb funny, like The Simpsons or South Park. It is an intelligent funny that only intelligent people will understand.

  • @Xmaggot93X Um, for your information, South Park is an intelligent funny. Most of their humor is subtle, yet very witty, and sometimes great satire. I easily rank it with the likes of Frasier, however Frasier really makes me laugh a ton, while South Park makes me chuckle and say "that was very witty". The Simpsons and Family Guy are dumb funny though.

  • @Cristojosh Try finding a single time in Frasier's history when they say "How would you like to suck my balls?"

  • Honestly, i did not get it at first,'fine arts forgery dept.' but hey if you can't laugh at yourself you don't have a real sense of humor.

  • The best moment has got to be "Fine! I guess I'll have to make my own tea!" but it's almost worthless out of context, loads of other moments better than the 1 in the vid though :\

  • I personally wouldn't even place this in my top 20 Frasier moments, let alone the best. So many better moments,

-Frasier and Niles prep school song from "Author Author"

    -Frasier and Eddie's staring contests

    -Niles' impressions in "Ham Radio"

There's literally hundreds of hilarious moments, this one just doesn't do it for me.

  • I love this show, but this particular joke is not THAT funny, i mean its not a clever pun or anything, just shows how gullible Frasier is, thats all.

  • Is this line only funny because the department doesn't exist?

  • @JonoNZ110 If that was the case why would it have such a hench name.

  • dammmn if this is "funny" then dane cook must be the best comedian in the world

  • @totaLybeetLeJuice No, you're simply not intelligent enough to get the joke, loser. lol.

  • @Xmaggot93X actually i get it but its really dumb... and does this guy really deserve all those awards?? talk about having deals and connections....

  • @totaLybeetLeJuice Frasier was brilliant. I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't like Frasier.

  • I remember watching this episode and died laughing! Oooohhh I love this show ...

  • im torn between this, and the one where Daphne was pregnant and she couldnt get off the floor, so Nialls, Frasier and Martin had to pick her up and one of them turnt round and said 'you know Daphne, it took 3 cranes to pick u up' lol

  • @carb122 It's 'Niles'...N-I-L-E-S!!! Arrrrgghhh!

  • @carb122 A brilliant scene, but she wasn't actually pregnant in that episode, she had just gotten really fat because of psychological issues relating to her new relationship with Niles :)

  • My all-time favorite show!!!

  • Dad! They're laughing at

    :P

  • "the fine arts forgery department" Love how Martin pulled this one off! RATFLMAO!!!

  • LOL

  • Eric Frasier moment! Frasier tries not to laugh a bit when he says "dad, they're laughing at me" and if you look round the corner behind them you can see Daphne waiting to come into the scene in a few mins! :O i noticed it on the dvd the other day lol :)

  • @livdaprano EPIC? yeaaah the P's in the other direction from the R

  • @SuperArook I meant to type that :P

  • @livdaprano lol sure :P

  • Ya gotta love this show : )

  • "Dad, they're laughing at me." The look on Martin's face at the end is hilarious! How he said, "Have them put you through to the fine arts forgery department" with a straight face is brilliant!

  • hahaha

  • lol?

  • @TremorHellborn Your Not Smart Enough Pal.

  • @TremorHellborn well the youre a fucking retard. you do recquire an ounce of intelligence to understand these jokes perhaps you should go back to watching south park or the big bang theory where they think that saying boobies is funny

  • @sr19 do NOT use the R word.

  • @sr19 do NOT use the R word. but other then that i agree with your comment.

  • @SuperArook why exactly? i live in a democracy, i can use whatever the hell words i want

  • I remember watching this episode on TV it's a good one

  • you don't watch much frasier do you. Hardly the funniest moment ever!

  • Great clip and great show. I have seen them all and I still laugh my ass off everytime I see them. Classic TV. Thanks for posting!

  • Frasier is too intelligent for some people. Like the mutants claiming this isnt funny lol

  • Oh geez. That's just immature. This is a sophisticated show, not everyone understands it.

  • Yeah, just what I said. People mock that which they dont understand. Probably the same people that think Two and a Half Men is hilarious...

  • @lNVlCTUS I like both...this is better though

  • How can one not like Fraiser? It's not snooty, it's jus smart comedy, u would have to be a brain dead monkey who only gets slapstick not to LOVE this show

  • The funniest bit was the beginning

    "I'M NOT LEAVING!!!"

    (After he left...)

  • not the funniest moment ever but it was funny

  • Are you overdosed on Prozac? It's hilarious! Don't you get it? The 'fine arts forgery department'. I'm laughing as I'm typing this.

  • neither was your spelling

  • i love it martins face when hes laughin at frasier :L

  • just one funny part but not the funniest moment ever

  • There are many, many funnier moments in the 11 seasons of Frasier.

  • Well, this one ain't so bad! Certainly it's worth more than 2 stars!
