  • what was that white pen that u used

  • what'd you do the highlights with?? I can't find anything that'll show up besides acrylic paint...

Nice work btw. Love you vids.

  • Try a gel pen!

  • Just don't draw where you want it to be white....a bit tricky but doable.....that in combination with a gel pen, and you're in business....

  • her eyes are looking opposite directions.. but great inking skill!

  • is there an injan ink w/ color violet?

  • is there a difference between normal ink and indian ink??? o.O

  • yes!there is a difference, its the name absolutely, moron!!

  • wtf? this was a serious question...mr. yoyo...does anybody here know the difference? (it's not just the name -.- of course...)

  • I'm pretty sure the difference is mainly it's deep actual black colour rather than a darker shade of another colour and the fact it's got a shellac base to it, Apart from that I'm not sure :)

  • @M0man you do realize black is not a colour,its a shade

  • Incorrect.

  • @M0man no correct why can animals that can NOT see colour be able to see in monochrome,as an animator i thought you would have known that,by the way i am a illustrator.

  • You can find it in any art store. Hopefully they'll have it where you are.

  • micheals. If there is one near you. I got mine today. ^^ They help alot they have like art stuff and learn how to draw books. Hopet his helped.

    Ally

  • Fantastic work. The audio doesn't suit the work. Try a Benatar tune?

  • Pure Awsome.

  • awesome... just how long did it take you, dude? :P

  • i would say about 30 minutes.

  • Love hawks artwork, been reading applegeeks for well over a year now. Amazing artist.

PS. Is that Fort Minor playing? If so then which track?

  • Second to None, it's on the Transformers soundtrack.

  • It drives me nuts how good he actually is. :P

*waits for his bribe in the mail*

  • was this just the after its filmed or is that the actual lighting when you draw? Doesn't seem like you could see what you're drawing.

  • the shadow wasn't that dark when i was inking.

  • just use a second light on the other side next time you want to do one... might be a little bright to you but the camera will be very happy.

If you ever want to know how to set pro lighting up just ask... its actualy easier then it sounds.

    anyways, stunning work

  • Frickin' Ridiculous...

As usual. Also very good choice of song to go with the vid, me like very much.

  • That angle shot of the finished drawing warps it kinda strangely. Pretty coo though!

  • best indirect birthday present ever.

  • Man you draw fast!

  • I can't imagine what you can do with proper lighting conditions :O

    *bows*

  • Nice vid, shame bout the lighting but still pretty damned interesting...

One question though - Where might a British gent procure oneo f those sketchpads, the paper looks beautiful?

  • Wow!

  • The music sounds like Styles of Beyond or Mike Shinoda. Or both. Idk, IMO.

Also, great drawings Hawk! Feelin' the vid and your art. =]

  • whats the music in the vid?? its pretty sick! just like ur vid

  • Based on the lyrics and a quick google search I just did it looks like the music is "Second to None" by Styles of Beyond feat Mike Shinoda :D

  • omg Hawk, you are so awesome

  • hell yeah!

  • That's pretty amazing. Next time you do a sped up inking or doodle you should totally put the iPod touch visible with the stopwatch function going.

It'd be fun to see how long it takes AND it'd be a good excuse to show off some Apple tech love.

  • You are amazing, Haque.

  • Very nice.

The only critque I might have is the eyes of the final product. I think it might be a tiny optical illusion, but to me it sometimes looks as if one eye is looking a different direction than the other.

  • Very nice video!

Too bad about the lighting though.

But still, it's an educational look at brushing India Ink.

  • what were you using around 1:30 when highlighting the shadows

  • grey copic markers.

  • coo

  • holy fuck i just saw the still image. just wow. lol

what paper and what pen did you use for the india ink?

  • i used a small brush and india ink.

  • Love it!

  • that stuff looks tough to manage.

    Also very messy :X
