I'm pretty sure the difference is mainly it's deep actual black colour rather than a darker shade of another colour and the fact it's got a shellac base to it, Apart from that I'm not sure :)
@M0man no correct why can animals that can NOT see colour be able to see in monochrome,as an animator i thought you would have known that,by the way i am a illustrator.
The only critque I might have is the eyes of the final product. I think it might be a tiny optical illusion, but to me it sometimes looks as if one eye is looking a different direction than the other.
what was that white pen that u used
pojo222 2 years ago
what'd you do the highlights with?? I can't find anything that'll show up besides acrylic paint...
Nice work btw. Love you vids.

Try a gel pen!

Just don't draw where you want it to be white....a bit tricky but doable.....that in combination with a gel pen, and you're in business....

her eyes are looking opposite directions.. but great inking skill!

Fantastic work. The audio doesn't suit the work. Try a Benatar tune?

was this just the after its filmed or is that the actual lighting when you draw? Doesn't seem like you could see what you're drawing.
Saiblade 3 years ago
the shadow wasn't that dark when i was inking.
mfhaque 3 years ago
just use a second light on the other side next time you want to do one... might be a little bright to you but the camera will be very happy.
If you ever want to know how to set pro lighting up just ask... its actualy easier then it sounds.
anyways, stunning work

Frickin' Ridiculous...
As usual. Also very good choice of song to go with the vid, me like very much.

That angle shot of the finished drawing warps it kinda strangely. Pretty coo though!

The music sounds like Styles of Beyond or Mike Shinoda. Or both. Idk, IMO.
Also, great drawings Hawk! Feelin' the vid and your art. =]

Based on the lyrics and a quick google search I just did it looks like the music is "Second to None" by Styles of Beyond feat Mike Shinoda :D

That's pretty amazing. Next time you do a sped up inking or doodle you should totally put the iPod touch visible with the stopwatch function going.
It'd be fun to see how long it takes AND it'd be a good excuse to show off some Apple tech love.
