Back then in vanilla, having an epic item made you feel epic. Having a char geared in full epic's in vanilla. You were basically hailed as a god in the realm and a guy who has too much free time.
Back then, Raiding was difficult. Most endgame raider's raged hard if you made a mistake.
hahahahahaha, you must have been a very baaaaad player back then!! the ones used to sit on their assesssss and cry about gear, the ones we used to gank in WPL, grow up kid... those were golden days...
this should have more views! funny, and mostly true! i dont care what anyone says, old gadgetzan pvp when i first got there, was some of the best times i had playing wow. lol. jumping on the roofs, ganking, and trying to run from the bruisers. :)
Yeah it was a pain! That's what I liked about it. It had to be hard. I didn't want it to be easy! It's so easy at this point to a form raids, I seen an advertisement for WoW saying "PUG-Friendly Raids". Getting geared being difficult created a specific social class. I remember the first epic I got, I got a message from someone I didn't even know congratulating me. It was like I joined the epic club.
So many people are around and there is no hierarchy. The hierarchy, I miss it so much.
I found this to be very accurate. I even have friends who have played wow since release and they say it was fun but it really wasn't all that it's cracked up to be. Some people just don't like change, while others are open to it. Personally, I like change, but I find that if vanilla did not progress into tbc or wotlk or cata, that the game would have loss far more players than from those who whine about the changes. I play the game for what it is, I find it fun, and am alway open to new ideas
meh vanilla is beast ... but its stupid to ask for retail "Vanilla" realms .... thats just retarded ... true ... vanilla was hard but not that hard if you know basic Logic and you know how to play the game ... final conclusion if you want vanilla -----> Private servers ... the game isnt the same and thats how its gonna roll....
Yeah its super fun to log in 4 hours before raid time to farm soul shards to make health stones for the entire raid and 40 more soul shards to summon everyone. Oh nad pet training...yeah no thanks
If you want a vanilla wow server google project westfall

Back then, Warlocks shitted on everyone.
Back then, Enhancement Shamans were OP.

Every irrational nostalgic vanilla WoW QQ'er should watch this so that they can see how stupid they sound and how we're all laughing at them.

You forgot one thing. The broken talent trees.
Did you level up your shaman and want to dps in a raid.
NOPE
Druid dps?
NOPE
Imagine spending the ridiculous amount of time to level up your character just to be told you have to play the game like this.
