She has cerebral palsy, and the reason why she talks like she does is because of the muscles. No offence to your mother, but it is a completely different condition , and she smokes marijuana to make life easier. suffer from cp and epilepsy myself..started smoking at 25 noticed dramatic decrease in tension in arm and almost completely elimination of seizure activity...(unless going a minute w/o smoking) prey ohio bill passes next yr

I was also born with CP although I have spastic diplegia (only effects my legs). My legs get so tight and pull on my back so that I am in discomfort for long amounts of time. My legs get so tight that picking up my feet and moving my body is difficult. I have had countless surgeries and botox injections. I go to physical therapy twice a week and have to do daily exercises. I am 16 and from personal experience know that when I smoke my body moves more freely than any other time I can remember.

I have a brother in law that has cerebral palsy, his parents have taken him to the doctor several times only to be given, or should i say told to buy dif kinds of pills that may help calm him down when he throws raging fits. I whould like to tell them to try using canabis to help him but i know they are not going to listen to me. the law tells them to shove pills down his throught that make him worse. we need to make this legal, than maybe my brother in law can be calm and function.

I have a mild form of cerebal palsy I was wondering if pot realy helped mine is with the stiff muscles and walking on my tiptoes I had pt and speech therapy but don't have mental retardation i'm very lucky I don't need a weelchair or crutches to walk and it's hard to tell I got it I had it all my life

@Cazzadora Cannabis can help a lot with cerebral palsy. I have a friend named Matt that has the spastic cerebral palsy where he walks on his tiptoes with his arms curved in towards his body. He has been smoking pot for a while now & it is the only thing he claims to help him to function better daily. I even notice an improvement after he smokes.

Wow! Can't begin to imagine the torture you have gone though! You're right. Until I saw this, if I heard someone on the phone who sounded like you, I would've hung up too, thinking it was a prank. I suspect almost nobody knows what serious cerebral palsy sounds like. Sounds like brain spasms of some sort. Wonder if you've tried anti-spasm pills. You are educating a lot of people by this. You may have cerebral palsy but you are far more admirable and courageous than most of us!
