Joker and Batman are like the perfect dynamic opposites: anarchy/order, insane/sane, open/closed-off, bad/good, villain/hero. And yet if they were together (not a fan or a hater for them, I just lean towards Harley and Joker more) this would exactly be their emotions.
Its not that shocking. Alot of comic artist and writers imply it all the time. I don't remember who said but someone said batman's life would be easier if he was gay.

I think this song really does go over the Joker's mindset of their "love"...maybe relationship would have been a better word?
But yes, since he always wants Batman's attention, I think he would do those things.
