i have a design for using ocean waves to generate power. both of these power souces are basicly free energy once the power station is setup. if we put all the money we spend in a year on oil into these 2 sources all those billions would be kept in our own country! try convincing a political system of that, when their pockets are filled by the oil industry. so corrupt!!

Ummm,,,oil/petrol is in everything; makeup, the computer you are using to watch this, your car, containers, all plastics, etc. So unless someone finds a way to give people what they are used to getting, the idea of never burning oil again is a dream. I would LOVE to see geothermal or any other type out there today BUT we have to be realistic. People need stuff. You need oil to make stuff. So who wants to start giving up their stuff first?
Let me answer your question papsitoman with a question, how long will it be when fossil fuels run out that we will have to hurry and create Geothermal energy? let's face it, we will one day need to go to other energies and not one energy. In china they use alot of mopeds and scooters that are electrical, they just plug them in at work, and sometimes at the supermalls etc. The technology is already here, we just have have to TRY to make it happen. Maybe, we should just let the banks and God have their way with us. That's all I'm getting from most folks. Change is scary. The only thing that i know can fly and is train size are electromagnetical trains. Those exist in many countries. Like Japan.
they aren't being sued in other countries mostly due to technically complex building, upkeep etc.
