  • shame that its out of sync...

  • Hans Conreid---Prosecutor

    Bill Thompson---Defense

    Thurl Ravenscroft---Mr. Sliderule

all of the above, Disney voice acting veterans of many films. RIP all.

  • @zuiderzee98

Seems the only one missing is Sterling Holloway

  • @frankydman I was waiting for Verna Felton, J. Pat O'Malley and Candy Candido.

  • wow, disney had the idea for cars decades before pixar was around!

  • the voices are off

  • evil attorney=captain hook

  • wow I like what he did with the people...... the cars were being discriminated ....... but just like people can seem bad..... so can cars

  • Brilliant cartoon. Blame everything else and ignore what the real problems are. It's like watching 24 hour news networks!

  • I think that lawyer did the voice of Captain Hook.

Does anyone else notice how almost every Disney video on Youtube has a highest rated comment about how good these are compared to most new garbage?

  • I remember watching this as a kid....and when I started driver's ed, my parents played it for me again

  • Why does the lawyer remind me of Captain Hook?

  • @waddlewundr That's because it is him and he's the headmaster Dr. T from the film The 5000 fingers of Dr. T

  • @waddlewundr same voice actor

  • Poor Automobile cartoon typical of the attitude of those days

  • the guy in the green suit sounds just like captain Hook from perter pan<3

  • @KissedByARedrose Same Actor

  • this cartoon learns who the true cause of the accidents are Us

  • @warningfellow

But notice none are taking place on I-94 until you get out of Michigan

  • 03:31

    88 Miles per hour!!!

  • @ 3:15 its lightning mcqueen!!!

  • Pixar's CARS!:)

  • This is the movie that inspired Cars!

  • They made us watch this in drivers ed back in 1997 This cartoon was probably as old as the books we used.

  • Funny thing though how much safer vehicles have gotten since this cartoon was made, and yet just like in the cartoon, "accidents" increase. Portraying drivers as gun welding murders is a nice touch, since it seems most "accidents" today are conscious acts. People CHOOSE to drink and drive, read, text, talk on phone, play music instruments, etc. It seems that speed limits are lowering and new laws are being passed because people CHOSE to ignore previous laws.

  • Intelligent observations.

  • 5:02 and 5:39 Thurl Ravenscroft , aka the singer of You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch

  • @PINKISLOVE45 Sure it's not Dallas McKennon, who did Tony AND the original singing for 'Haunted Mansion'?

  • 5:02 Thurl Ravenscroft, from How The Grinch Stole Christmas

  • thats captian hooks voice from peter pan

  • That auto character in the courtroom should have been an GM EXECUTIVE :/

I'm surprised there was auto-traffic awareness back in the day. And nothing was done about it. There's more roads now than ever.

  • This could be applied to Guns, People Blame Guns for killing people, but it's the people behimd the Guns that are the True killers

  • 9:14 Groucho Marx

  • 4:04 That's Stanley from Cars. Remember the statue?

  • McQueen's grandfather at 3:13

  • Actually, for real inspiration, the PIXAR guys were influenced by "Suzie, the little Blue Coupe."

  • I saw that cartoon!

Yet, this cartoon still shows enough clearly the way of think of americans: They create potentially dangerous tools and if something goes wrong are the tool theirself to be accused of everything, not their creators, nor their users!

  • It's like the woman who spilled hot coffee on herself, and blamed McDonald's for not cautioning her that the coffee was hot.

Because of that, every single place now includes a 'caution, this drink you are about to enjoy may be hot' on their cups.

Everyone is in such an uproar to idiot-proof and prevent lawsuits.

  • And now writings like that are being spreaded around the world as proof of american intelligence.

On a Superman outfits for kids:"Warning! This outfit doesn't gain the ability to fly to it's wearer!"

On a oven:"Warning: This device is made only for cooking! Don't use for suicide!"

On a lot of food packs:"Warning! Extract the food from the pack before eating it!".

  • Ethier that or Sally from Cars has a cousin.

  • For the movie cars they must of used this design

  • who is doing the voice of the prosecutor? I have heard his voice in other Disney movies/cartoons.

  • Captain Hook.

  • Hans Conried, Captain Hook's voice.

  • The precursor to the Cars film??? Seems like it :)

  • not really, Disney made a bunch of cartoons about cars around this time.

  • I am referring to the way the cars are depicted. Seems the 3D modellers were influenced by cartoons such as these.

  • So was I. If you look at any Disney cartoon with antropromorphic cars, they have a similar look. Pixar just took it a step further with the 3D.

  • Greatest Disney Shors are like it!

Ipmangas, you have the more beautiful collection of Disney Shorts

  • Without traffic lights and stop signs, there will be chaos 24/7/365.

  • A great example of how important car safety really is today; they should definitely show this in driver's ed!

  • Some of the cars remind of Lighting McQueen and Doc from Cars, in fact this could be the inspiration for Cars

  • many of the 1950's shorts paved the way for cars, if you watch "the little house" look at the tow trucks windshield it has the eyes that you see in the movie cars!

  • That's the best OBJECTION! I've heard since Phoenix Wright.

  • Nice!

  • hehe another toon that anamorphic cars isn't new

  • That's of course none other than Thurl "Tony the Tiger" Ravenscroft as Cyrus P. Sliderule.

  • Grand Theft Auto, 1957 Style.

Seems the blame everyone but yourself for your mistakes mentallity was alive and well back then as it is today.

  • its too bad they don't make cartoons like this anymore

  • Thanks!
