Was a great cover! Just felt the drummer needs much work as the rest of the instruments were really close to the cover, but the drumming seemed really improvised. Then again covering Neil Peart is no easy task, and respect is given for attempting to do so. Nice cover!

Something I've realized since R30 is that the timing of Neil Peart has changed when he uses the china along with a ride cymbal. It seems that he's playing a little bit slower - or maybe just differently from the studio version.

Being an absolute stickler for details, I'd say Pauliewanna could have been a tiny bit more tight here and there on this one, but all the other musicians offered a top notch performance! I totally agree with you Alain and there are reasons (not excuses) for this. I did an almost perfect take on this song and submitted, but the volume was too low. Then I did it again and something was crazy with the video because I combined it with the sound. By the time I did the final take, I was shell-shocked and wheeled out, so I just gave it my best shot, but to tell you the truth, there are inconsistencies. Thanks for being honest -- and keeping me honest too.

Also the snare is sounding more prominent on this one compared to the others, which is good, but personally I think it could still do with a nudge up, along with the bass drum as well. In fact it's quite a cymbal/hi-hat dominated mix... but I do appreciate the difficulties of mic'ing up and cymbals bleeding into every mic. Just a thought anyway, I have much respect for Paulie and the whole band :-)

Thanx for your reply! Not only Paul (Pauliewanna) has done The Camera Eye but also Mike (SnowdogUK, check out his homepage). Yesterday I created some pretty nice Camera Eye sounds on my Synths, which is not easy because I have a thousand x 2 to choose from and you can also alter each sample individually. I just want you to know that I really like this song but covering it is of course a team-effort of the whole band.
