  • @Circumpunk no he didnt do this before them, i just meant to me Otis was and is the voice that can reach out and soothe your soul, and i feel Chris is just as special with his voice

  • damn .... the voice, the groove. Otis redding is looking down and enjoying this. from this old black man to you: Thank you Chris for sharing the soul of your voice and heart with the world

  • nice stax memphis groove!

  • @MrZosomojo75 Nice pic bro! I agree with your assessment entirely!

  • THE Break-up tune

  • @Witechawklit No shit! You got the "THE" part right.

  • When I went through my divorce in 95 this song kind of put everything in perspective. No anger. No resentment for anything other than the loss of belief in a relationship that never was what I convinced myself it to be. I haven't heard it in over 20 years 'til now. Whew, what a long strange trip it's been. Thanks.

  • When blues and gospel collide! .-)

  • @fortheloveoftunes Wow! What a compliment. I think every bit of music that comes / came from the American South is touched by a little taste of gospel.. Thanks for commenting.

  • @jenniferstallings1 Me too.

  • Black Crowes are one of the BEST bands EVER!!!!!!!!!

  • I listened to this song a lot after my ex girlfriend dumped me a few months back. Chris is real. He's not a pretty boy, and he's had a good deal of heartache in his life. But, he puts his best foot forward. And speaks his mind, no matter how unpopular the things he says may be at the time. He's not afraid to offend someone who needs offending. That's what I admire about him.

  • listned to this song ones. was driving to my work one morning. never went back home. this was in 1998

great song!!!!!!!! i think the best ever!

  • truly rock n and roll gold... one of the best albums ever made... and a danm good song

  • @Jozznjaxxsdad Thanks for your kind comment.

  • The last great rock and roll band!

  • @CFgroup1 Rock and Roll never dies my friend. I think that's a quote from Bob Segar.

  • @Circumpunk No rock n roll never dies; it just gets progressively worse. I believe the Crowes are truly the last of the great rock bands, almost another CCR style or Led Zeppelin in their great musical talent.

  • @52Mik I find it hard to respond...choosing between CCR and this is tough. Led Zep are still GODS! Fuck dude, hahaha! Now i won't sleep tonight thanks to you!

  • @Circumpunk Won't sleep tonight thanks to me? Gee; What did I do start a musical revolution in ur brain? Yipeeee!! It's about time we had another Good one! They can take Rap, Hip-Hop, this new thrash trash they call metal, and 98% of all new rock and use it to build a huge bonfire so we can have us another Woodstock~!!

  • @52Mik I think that movie was called Taking Woodstock, have you seen it?? Very 60's and funny as hell. Sort of a coming of age story. No man, (are you a male?) your comparisons of different bands has me researchin right now. I still haven't the whos best but Zep is my sentimental fave. It's 03:30 where I live and damned if I'm ready for bed yet!

  • @Circumpunk I would have a hard time choosing a "Best Band" from that era to be totally truthful but CCR comes close and I also love The Who, The Guess Who, The Eagles, and oh just too damn many to list. My all time favorite rock song is "Slow-Ride" by Foghat. To me, that song is the epitome of what rock music should be. Take a listen and see if you don't agree.

  • MMMMMMMMMMM....Have Mercy!

  • @72jokerman As you wish jokerman! hahaha. This is the only Crowes album I own. Please suggest more to me for future uploads!

    Geoff

  • Damn Geoff -- can't believe I missed this one since I'm a big Crowes fan ...

  • Thank you for the BEST version I've heard so far! You ROCK!

  • @wearebeast9799 Thanks my friend...it's the Crowes that rock , not me.

    ; ))

  • If anything I would be the bad influence on you bro. : ) Did you post Cypress Tree off of Lions? I love that F__king song. Will check back regularly.

  • @SSinBullheadAZ Sorry but no. All I own is this album Shake Yer Moneymaker. Damn pawn shops got 'em. hahaha!

  • This song gets stronger every second it plays. It just keeps up building. Gives me chills. Hats off to Chris and Rich and the rest of the band. What a first album that was. Now thats ROCK!!!!!! Gonna light up now. Thanks for the posting.

  • @SSinBullheadAZ You're welcome. Hope I ain't a bad influence.

    ; ))

  • Awwww, one of my favs off the album. Still have my old Crows poster.

  • @SgtBastard101 I just had to post it, but it's so dated and my visuals are slower than the song. Glad you liked it bro! A damn fine band.
