How to make a Rainbow Cake

when i make a cake like that i use a different pan for each color when i bake it so when its done i stack them on top of eachother and THEN frost it. That way the colors will look neat like an actual rainbow..no offense but ur cake looks kinda sloppy cuz u poured it all together. but as long as it tastes good who cares right :D

Food coloring does not have taste!!! Replay: You do not want to put to much( foodcoloring) so it doesn't taste wierd...  What is that.

If you want the colors to be true... you should start with a white cake. Yellow cake makes the the red orange, etc. Also, since you want ALL of the available batter in the cake pan, it would help if you scraped it out of the bowls with a rubber spatula, instead of a teaspoon.

the food coloring ure using is flavored right ? they sell it unflavored, i use unflavored and i use a lot of the coloring and it doesnt give the cake a bad taste :D

I make these all the time. I have found the colors are the brightest if you use a WHITE cake mix instead of yellow!! These also turn out super cute if u make them into cupcakes!! ^_^

Hey sweetie, just alittle tip for future ref. if you use a rubber spatula (like the red 1 you had earlier) the cake mix will be a lot easier to remove from the bowl. Hope it helps!! The cake looks Fantastic, Hope it was Good. Amanda
