I guess that works. If it were me I wouldn't rely on their mounting setup. I would weld in pieces of round steel bar between the pulley and the outer wheel rim (which would make it look similar to a wheelchair wheel.) That would take a lot of stress off of the spokes.
not sure if this is a good design... a big driven ring is grabbing on the spokes especially right in the middle part of the spoke body. that's the weakest part of the wheel. no wonder you're breaking it...
Part was pressure. Part was smaller gear. Part part part was I didn't know to check the spokes and make sure they were tightened. But also key was that I strapped the engine knob tight when the spring broke, using a bungee cord, and thus it had no 'flexibility' when hitting bumps. Thus the strain went to the spokes and they broke up next to the rim. Thus a warp. Now I have thicker spokes, and an extra spring incase the clutch knob spring breaks again.
No problem with axle. Be sure once the gears are put on that you let a bike shop tighted the lock nut. I used the plumbers wrench but it only held for a very short time. A bike shop gave it a real tightening. Works great.
how has your wheel faired thus far an updated report please. Also did they include the spacer in the order or was that seperate.

You do know your chain needs to be replaced, right? Your cassette gears are badly worn. They will need to be replaced to.

Have have any problems with the axle? I bought that same rim and stripped the threads on the axle before I even got a chance to ride again.
Going to be calling golden eagle tomorrow.
