  • beast!!

  • sick!

  • I want a monitor lizard so badly, but I'd be a little cautious about feeding shrews to it because they have venom and I don't want it hurting my lizard. Unless its teeth can't pierce its scales. I have so many of those little bastards in my backyard I'd like to feed e'm all to a monitor lol.

  • what kind of fucking cage is that man

  • LIGHTS OUT SHREW!

  • hooooly shit that was brutal.

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • omg best thing to watch high

  • atleast he did research

  • holy s1ht

  • Shrews possess highly toxic saliva. I wouldn't be feeding them to your monitor, let alone any wild caught prey item.

  • @GL3NE +50 points for doing research.

  • A cage within a cage!

    CAGECEPTION!!!

  • Hope ur monitor is still alive with irresponsible owners like you feeding it parasite-infested food.

  • @mattchibi Nature.

  • @mattchibi are you stupid?

  • Shrews may be more savaging than rats and mice because of their venomous teeth and for being territorial.

  • these are like dogs when it comes to killing?

  • That's a nice looking savannah and I can see you or your parents have invested a fair bit of money on it's enclosure but if you feed it rodents that you catch yourself then you are not very educated on what you should and shouldn't feed your savannah. A shrew is definitely not a good thing to feed to your monitor because of the way it bit your monitor and how you don't know if it was carrying any types of diseases or parasites.

  • what a fucking bad ass hahaha

  • I would have kept that shrew for outsmarting both the human and the monitor it deserved to live. u should have kept it and fed it a rat or something. XD

  • @BlackWing96 feeder rodents bought from a pet shop are captive bred with no parasites or poison to make your pet unhealthy. If you still think that it is ok, then please keep your opinion to yourself. Too many of these wonderful animals do not recieve the proper care and life that they need and deserve.

  • @KamoMax2105 pussy bitch

  • @DJKING442 are you talking about what your mom let me eat??? her pussy, bitch??

  • @KamoMax2105 That doesnt make sense you fucking retard. dumb ass mother fucker

  • @DJKING442 how does it not make sense??...is your mind a little too slow??

  • @DJKING442 Get a life dude. are you just trying to act big and bad on youtube because you get made fun of and treated like shit in real life?? im just posting advice and letting people know what i think. you obviously know nothing about reptiles if you are starting shit over what i said.

  • @KamoMax2105 Don't tell me to get a life you fat pussy you are the one sending

me two messages just so i can respond to your bitch ass and no it doesn't

make sense because a dumb ass like you said it and dont know how to speak

proper english you fucking dumb ass faggot. You are a waste of time and

nobody loves you so sorry about that. You Fat Mother Fucker

  • @DJKING442 I simply replied to the dumbass trying to start shit. Just as i thought though you could not tell me what i said that didnt make sense..Maybe you should pick up a book every once in a while? Funny how people like you get treated like shit in real life so they have to get a youtube account so they can pretend theyre bad ass. I simply stated my opinion about the video being showed. I did not ask for a response from a dirty little, shit mouth, cock sucker such as yourself.

  • @KamoMax2105 i didnt start it you dumbass i said thats baddass and you said yah what your moms pussy tasted like or some dum shit like that so shut the hell uip your the one starting stuff and trying to act cool to bring youro own insecurites on me fatty

  • @DJKING442 and maybe use your own advice and go check out your punctuation

  • @BlackWing96 Are u dumb man? It most definantly is not a good idea to feed wild caught animals to any reptile. You dont know where they have been, and if its anywhere near human interaction its prob. not anywhere good, they can pass numerous parasites to your pet and have probibally been around pesticides and numerous other poisons. Most of these lizards stay far away from human interaction in the wild, meaning their food most likely does too(meaning its less likely to have been around poisons)

  • Not cool ,you couldve harmed your pet ,you shouldve stunned it first

  • The monitor is stupid. Like its owners.

  • @fasteddyuk Well, it is a reptile, they're generally not known for their brilliance. That said, if I owned one, I don't think I could resist the urge to feed it rodents every now and again. I wouldn't do it particularly often, I wouldn't want a fat monitor.

  • Haha is it shitting itself?

  • I can't believe it even wanted the thing - shrews have horrific scent glands that totally f up their smell & flavor. Yich... but hey, if the monitor liked it, that's what counts. ;-)

  • (They are fighters, though! Wow!)

  • Good thing the shrew didn't kill your moniter. Why take a chance like that? Idiotic, to chance your moniters life like that.

  • Comment removed

  • Hey, that was an American short tail shrew... They are venomous, your monitor could eat the shrew, because it has venom and not poison, anything can ingest venom, but you really need to make sure your moniter didn't get bit... He could have serious problems. The venom in a single American short tail shrew's venom glands is enough to kill 200 mice

  • @33197dillon Are you kidding me? Monitor lizards are immune to most type of venom's! This monitor obviously got bit, no shrew will let anything eat them(they will fight back). Monitor's take advantage of their immunity and kill venomous things!

I have fed my monitor shrews, rattlesnakes, toads, frogs, and copperheads! No problems at all.

  • @MonitorSpiderCichlid You are clearly clueless to. They are immune to the animals in their country of origin. Not ours. It may not be a problem now but you are chancing your moniters life.

  • That shit was an awesome way to get rid of pest Ppl Shuld stfu BCUZ reptiles eat rodents u can't feed it a carrot so too bad

  • @Skullbandit141 True, but feeding it a venomous animals that isn't from it's country of origin is dangerous to the Moniter. This guy is clearly clueless in proper husbandry and care of his animals.

  • did you had fun shithead?

  • Monitor like fuken prick fish tank in my tank -.- its like its own house :D

  • FATALITY.

  • dude i caught a shrew after chasing it into my pond...a shrew swimming is fucking hilarious

  • now that's pest control

  • 1:55 OVERKILL. hahaha.

  • Im not sure I would feed my monitor a mouse/shrew I found outside of in my house. It could be carrying parasites

  • I WHIP MY HAIR BACK AND FORTH...LOL

  • FATALITY!!!

  • that shrew is screwed XD

  • your lizards sweet, but i doubt shrews are good news for monitors. but still lol at when he thrashed him :P

  • @TheEjayProductions why would he be dead? are tthey bigger or something? sorry i really dont know anything about shrews

  • Comment removed

  • @TheEjayProductions isnt this one short tailed?

  • hahaha holly shit nice thats frikin awsome

  • Wow, that setup is awful. Please Google savannahmonitor(dot)org to learn how to take care of your pet.

  • I hope that wasn't a shrew lol, cause your lizard had a pretty good chance of dying since they are pretty poisonous, and if it bit you, you shoulda gotten sick....nice looking lizard tho :-)

  • @zaph1987 it is a shrew

  • did the Shrew get hurt ? :D

  • dude that shrew got into the wrong house lol

  • its great how he plays with it hes like were are you going to run to now

  • WOW! you savannah monitor is fierce!

  • It does know dumbass

  • sweet lizard

  • The shrew was sooo cute, but I'm getting a monitor so... I'm kind of conflicted.

  • How come he moves his head back and fourth really slow when he has it dead and started to swallow it?

  • Slipy do 1 is fine for his size he is still small

  • Nice video mate how old is he there I have a 4 year old bosk

  • Thats like the worst savannah monitor enclosure i could possibly imagine...

  • ... they're vemonist (sp?) eh...

  • Best shit!

  • Another way to tell is that shrews -cannot- stay still when they're awake. With a heartbeat of 1300 bpm, it doesn't take a genius to realize why. As for the venom, I thought about it more and realized your lizard -might- have been okay from a bite. Shrews kill snakes easily, but your kind of lizard has a much thicker skin and the shrew's teeth aren't usually that long. Still, -you- got bit, and would have probably at least had a reaction to the shrew venom if it was a shrew.

  • I'm not going to read through all comments, so someone might have already told you - but if it had been a shrew, the lizard would've at least been hurt. Shrews are venemous - their venom can kill reptiles without much problem. You said it bit you - you'd also have had a problem, though you'd probably have survived if it was just one bite. Another interesting fact - their hearts beat at around 1300 beats per minute. OY! So NEVER give your lizard a shrew, unless you don't like the lizard any more.

  • poor shrew

  • 36 people have tasted shit. you know what i mean

  • MUSCLE SPASM!

  • reptile fatality

  • that's not a shrew, dumbasses.

  • aka dinosaur eats mole

  • Cool, can't help but notice when lizards and other reptiles are fed "domesticated" feeders, they don't evade capture or fight back. This wild shew ran like hell and bit back...

  • Was he hurt?

  • @kcpoynter

    Nah, not the least bit

  • lol 1:54 its going fucking nuts haha

  • Heck yea! That was awesome! "LIGHTS OUT SHREW!" LAWL!!!! Awesome video. That was badass!

  • Thats pretty cool. Before my big monitor passed away (there is a video of her on my profile) she loved to make a mess of her food, I'd kill them for her first though, I figured they would suffer less and I like fuzzies, I just like my lizards more. But I ended up having to feed her in the bathroom because it was too hard to get the blood stains out of the carpet, it looked like a murder scene, lol. Do you feed him in the cage? Has that ever caused him to attack your hand when you reach in?

  • lol im getting one soon. i cant wait till he will get big, we get alot of mice in the winter and my dog is a malimute so he can catch some but not all lol. any tips on how to get them to be friends? or just tollerate? my dog and sav. lol

  • ur lucky that monitor didnt loose its eye foo

  • the shrew crapped he was so scared

  • Where the fuck did you get a shrew. I want one. haha

  • that's just awesome man! how big is he now?? .. do you how much they cost as juveniles?

  • @laserimport if you find a online breeder classifieds page you can get a baby to a juvenile for 70 to 100

  • were the fuck did you get a shrew

  • @theGangstadude1 It was in my house actually...I was siting on the couch right after a shower and saw it run in the living room, so i completely closed off the living room and went through each piece of furniture to get it haha. Took me like 45 minutes to catch with a pot and glass dish lol

  • @jdg30 hey where did u get ur savannah monitor

  • @jdg30 these guys would make a great garden pet. i have way too many mice around my backyard

  • @lillyfan12345 thats a myth my sav was the most vicious killer you ever saw but she never bit me i could stick my hand right into her cage and never have to wry and yes i fed her in her cage and wat do u suppose they eat in the wild store bought mice? the pet industry has u convinced that u need store bought mice my sav used to walk around my lawn and find snakes never had any problems or anything stop preaching this bull shit

  • a shrew is the one thing id never feed live they have they have a higher brain-to-body ratio then humans there smart to kill unlike a mouse

  • Dat fuck boy look stupid.

  • hey man im not telling you how to raise your pet but you shouldn't feed your pet wild animals that you caught a lot of wild animals have diseases that can make your pet sick

  • @santijuelz so wat do u suppose they eat in the wild? do people buy feeder mice and dump them in the Kalahari?

  • A box filled with some old newspaper and wood from the diy market, what a great place to be for an exotic animal...

  • @JacquesDeBale

i quite agree with jacque, its not a rat its a mole.

  • Hahahaha thats fuckin awesome !

  • its a mole retard

  • @19811319 no...its a shrew. good luck catching a mole in the fist place and that thing is way to damn big to be a mole.

  • @jokerwhysoseriou1000 WRONG, it's not a shrew, had it been a shrew the savannah monitor would be dead as the shrew bit it and the shrew has a poisonous bite....are you seriously taking the word of these stupid bitchasses who can't even figure out if a camera is still recording or not?

  • 2:15 spaz attack

  • how about we throw you in a tank with a hungry anaconda see how long you last :)

  • -Not checking shrew for parasites/infections?

Was this done at all? :(

  • @draconic33 obviously the RETARDS in making this video aren't exactly the smartest cookies around. of course they didn't check shit.

  • Very nice cage and monitor. He looks well taken care of :)

  • as much that it bothers me that you would feed him something caught in your house, this still made me laugh.

  • you guys are fucking stupid get mice from the pet store so they dont have parasites if you dont want to spend the money to give it a nice life then you should give it away to someone that will

  • nice Monitor

  • Dude...it's like his knowss...of course DUDE ! But still....

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

i have some shrews in my backyard if you want some more during the summer

  • Why would you feed your lizard a wild animal? It could be loaded with potential lethal parasites and diseases.

  • @James10836 shrews can be an exception since their diet are insects, well thats what i heard from some guy

  • are they legal in canada?is there any place where they arent legal to keep?

  • LMAO THATS WHAT THE SHREW GETS FOR PLAYING HIDE AND SEEK

  • @MigueFlito that's what that bitch you call mom gets for spreading her legs too easy and not being selective..RETARDED OFFSPRING.

  • @TarantulaCandy some one must be mad that a poor innocent animals gets eaten

  • does your sav get into the water? just wondering or is it just for humidity

  • Lights Out!!

    Game Over LoL

  • argh people like you shouldnt own reptiles. you found a shrew and gave it to him? ever heard of things called parasties and bugs which they might carry. please tell me this isnt actually his enclosure. do some research before owning a monitor!

  • nice kill

  • why is there an aquarium in the middle of its enclosure?

  • your SAV acted so violently when killing it because it was most likely biting his face, that is why i flick the mouse before feeding so it slows it down so it cant hurt the feeding animal. btw whats with all the random shit in his cage, ignorant people like you are what give reptile hobbists a bad name, be glad that shrew didnt bite out your lizards eyes

  • @dakotaneville lol how could reptile hobbists possible have a good name

    you keep lizards you weirdo

  • I heard you liked cages so I put a Cage in your CAGE.

  • nice lizard man the shrew sucks

  • what a kill, there should be a kill cam for this mofo. btw, thats a sweet enclouser, one lucky sav, how big is it?

  • HAHAHA take that u stupid shrew

  • Probably not a good idea to have little wooden pallets stacked in there, I would think it might get splinters.

  • LIGHTS OUT, SHREW!!!

OMG! I couldn't stop laughing for some reason...and I've seen these kinds of videos many times before! when you guys were saying OMG so was I! haha! like I've never this before, haha!

    "679"

  • lol looks likkke its havin a siezure when it attacked

  • Im going to put you in a cage with a fucking grizzly bear you douche

  • Enjoy your internal parasites.

  • @cheshirecat14 i was just about to say, did you check it for parasites

  • Very nice! Love your cage. Where did you get it?

  • whats wrong with the cage

  • @TheSnarfal

Its in the possession of two chimps, thats what.

  • @TheSnarfal For one there's no dirt. These are digging animals. But the weirdest thing is the fishtank water supply, just liike like a bad idea.

  • Great Vid!

  • Buy Newsprint instead of newpaper with ink on it (Newsprint is newpaper with no ink if you're mentally challenged but you prolly knew that already) it has the same absobtion without the ink release

  • normally I would say that wasnt very smart to feed a wild animal to your lizard, but shrews could be an exception since they eat worms, they are pretty clean.......

  • dude your a freakin prike he is having trouble eating it your going to kill the thing

  • damn. this video makes me want to get a monitor of my own.

  • Seriously I hoped you changed that cage, thats basically like putting a grown man with ice skates on to live in a skating ring his entire life. Badass video of him killing a shrew though, but please get rid of that news paper. Its toxic to him and you. Although it absorbs moisture, it at the same time releases ink which is harmful to him, and will cause him a horrible death eventually If you already changed it, thank god, if you didn't then just take him to the vet

  • Monitor:GET IT OFF GET IT OFF HELP MEEEEEE!!!!!!!

    Shrew:TAKE THAT STUPID LIZARD.

  • after chasing lizard was full of rage

  • This is amazing xD He's lucky to have a owner like you if he's grown up this big!

  • :D omg ...

  • LOL "lights out shrew!!"

  • savannah is going nuts with the rat

  • hahaha the shrew crapped itself like 3 times xD

  • ... I would've kept the shrew as well,,,

they eat mice too! The thing about using a shrew

as live feeders is- they'll fight! Because they are a

carnivour their teeth carry bacteria which may be

harmful to your lizard... Next time y' catch one-

put 'im in a cage next to the lizard. Maybe they'll

pal-up when they see each other knocking the

    shit outta mice...

  • Did you know the short-tailed shrew is the only poisonous mammal? no joke. that one has a pretty short tail.

  • @zippybomb Shut the hell up lol what about platapus? Males platapus have poison in their back legs.

  • In my opinion i wouldnt feed my herps something i found in my house but thats just me. I've always loved savannahs :)

  • That shrew took that beating like a man, after 1 minute of being beaten he was still alive hahahaha

  • @jdg30 hey... it looked like the shrew bit him, did he? and is it ok?

  • i soo LOL'd when it got stuck behind the water :P
