This Vid was very Helpful for me because I desided to go to a Con In Cali in January and me and my hubby were looking inot buying Suits but we changed our minds for how expensive it was for 2 full shiuts so we desided to go with Partials and make them our selves. I would like an expert's opinion. I have been trying to find a nice white short pile fur for my Absol fursuit, however I'm very picky. I have been looking at crcrafts.com's soft teddy fur. It seems a decent price, but I'm scared It wont look good for Absol.. What are your thoughts on the Soft Teddy fur? I have already made the mane for Absol out of shag fur, I was hoping a short pile againt long pile would give the illusion of the mane being full and fluffy c:

It depends on the costume. Are we asking about a specific one I made? Or maybe give me an example (like a fully body wolf or something). Also do you want actual work hours, total amount of "billable" hours (which includes things like planning, designing, buying materials as well as actual work), or overall timespan in months/weeks I worked on it or days I spent working on the project?

Standard shag is not soft at all, thin, cheap quality, and rather raggy-looking. It can still work depending on what your project is. The nice promo shag is extremely soft and full; beautiful quality. Red is an easy color to find. Distinctive Fabrics also has a 3" nap in red if you're looking for a really long, high quality fur.

Oh, lol those are actually a pair of German shepherd ears I made myself. They're cilp-ons, so I can attach them to my head, and then the backwards baseball cap I cut slits into so I can wear both at the same time. ^^
