Jynxy, seriously, you should heed those warnings. When it is 100 degrees F, even in Florida, it is nothing to scoff at. You must stay hydrated (drink water) and do NOT leave ANYTHING living in a sealed car. They are only preparing people who aren't used to that kind of heat. Even here, they have reminders.
.AND In the courses they start with something called "gateway to work"(2 weeks) then "voluntary option"...which is for 13 weeks, and they find you a job placement and you have to work nine to five, five days a week, for 55 pound..I shit you not.
But honestly the only way for somebody to get the same amount of money from the benefits system as someone working, is child benefits...OR doing it all illegal, for example, cliaming carers allowance, and incapacity benefits without actully being ill or without really looking after the person you are caring for, and having like a part time job with money in the hand, like a cleaner. so it dos'nt register with system...which is benefit fraud!
i personaly dont see why anybody would want that kind of lifestyle, i rather would work and be active, rather than watch tv allday or be in the pub etc...i guess some people are a lazybones!

You can only claim job seekers benefits for a maxium of 12 months, when the 6 months period has come, they will ask you, do you want other 6 months of signing for money and looking work, OR attend a course they provide. If you choose not to attend the course ,then you can only go on to sign for another six months. Then after that if you choose to stay on job seekers benefits, you HAVE to attend the courses. If you do not attend the courses, they kick you off
If people say "oh no , i dont want to work"..they are not entitled to benefits, because you have to be actively seeking for work, while they support you. if you refuse to work or refuse to attend the courses they provide to help you get work, they kick you off....but your correct with the child benefits, the more children you have the more money you get.
Also, check out this vid. This is in Canada of all places. She says her deck registers 45c as of late. That's 113f. INSANE! All these regularly cool/cold places getting higher temps than the southern US.

the reason people are droping due to the heat is because the change happend to fast. if you vist a relly hot country it take a month for your blood to thinken so it can carry more oxegen (this is important in the heat).
