  • Iraq = police action, War has not been declared since WWII.

  • Has anyone ever noticed that the cops only show up to protests that are run by liberals because whenever they're left unattended they end up doing stupid shit like setting the vehicles of private citizen's on fire to protest "the man"? I mean, look at the radical tea party riots... oh wait... there is nothing radical about them. LOL. Just a bunch of old people protesting taxes. Now where you get into trouble is dumb young people... mainly liberal in nature... but not necessarily.... just dumb.

  • @DawnOfDaybreak

Actually, much of the dumb shit done at protests is incited by police themselves. They've been caught, numerous times, dressed as "Anarchists" trying to incite violence.

Which begs the question, if officers of the law are there to protect the peace, why are they sneakily inciting violence?

  • Hmmm Jew's, spooks, non-shaved lezbo's, limp wristed white liberal bitchboys with dreads wearing sandles, all gathered in one spot?? Yeah must be the clueless MTV brainwashed sheep of this country. Now wheres a hijacked plane when you need it? Would make a nice dent in the removal of these parasites. Plus it would give 1000's more another conspiracy theory. But this one would be TRUE!!

  • can't believe it has been a hole year since the rnc

  • I'm a lib, but I believe in the second amendment and its original intention.

  • hmm an ice scupture of democracy, so true. Its worth nothing of you dont fight

  • Baaah

  • Jesus bloody Christ, and this is AMERICA!!! The so called land of the "free"???!!!!!!!!!

What a sight for the world to see.

  • George Hanson: You know, this used to be a helluva good country. I can't understand what's gone wrong with it.

Billy: Man, everybody got chicken, that's what happened. Hey, we can't even get into like, a second-rate hotel, I mean, a second-rate motel, you dig? They think we're gonna cut their throat or somethin'. They're scared, man.

George Hanson: They're not scared of you they're scared of what you represent to 'em.

Billy: Hey man. All we represent to them is somebody who needs a haircut.

  • George Hanson: Oh, no. What you represent to them is freedom.

Billy: What the hell is wrong with freedom? That's what it's all about. Of course, don't ever tell anybody that they're not free, 'cause then they're gonna get real busy killin' and maimin' to prove to you that they are. But they see a free individual, it's gonna scare 'em.

    Quote from Easy Rider...

America has not been the land of the free or the brave since a long while now. Wake up and smell the Nespreso, What else?

  • Can we not make a citizen arrest of a cop who is causing someone bodily harm when that person has not caused any crime, it is a act of treason to break people's constitutional rights? Civilians must start enforcing their civil codes, and standing up for all beings rights. Peace

  • Maybe. On June 12th this year a Fremont police officer was arrested on suspicion of battery in San Francisco.

A Richmond firefighter made a citizen's arrest. The officer was formally arrested by BART police on suspicion of misdemeanor battery and released.

  • In 32 states you could be arrested. It is considered interfering with police. If the arrestee is already involved in an investigation, you will be charged again, regardless of any actual hindering of the investigation. So you can but you'll need one hell of a lawyer, immediate police assistance & lots of witnesses/help. Have cameras. Don't hurt anyone. March them to the steps of the police station. Btw suggesting it on the internet is against hr 6304 & makes you enemy of the state.

  • hr 6304? National Homegrown Terrorism act. McCain & Obama voted for it. It is my first favorite on the left. The portion I speak of is in the middle. It is very eloquent & applies to domestic & foreign.

I wasn't even for it regarding "foreign".

  • which 18 states can we arrest cops in?

  • There isn't anything in any states explicitly documented about arresting an officer.

KY, AL, MA, UT, TN, ID, CA, GA, IA, VA, TX, MA, NY, IL , MI , VT, NJ & FL. These states have statutes that are broad or obsolete enough to include officers & many of them require it to be a felony offense. They will still need to be presented Miranda Rights which requires an officer. Again, I don't advise it without have the previously listed assistance.

North Carolina has no citizen's arrest, btw.

  • yeah, I wasn't planning on trying it that's for people who enjoy jail time '~) just curious. thanks.

  • Imagine the message that would be sent if a group of people did rise up, peacefully made a citizens' arrest & marched them to the police station on charges of assault & battery.

I didn't think you would. I had to include that because I don't want a comment I posted leading to the injury or incarceration of someone who read them. No problem.

  • the messege is getting out thats why they try and make protestors look like hippies and or anarchist there is no freedom of speech witch is sad becouse when u make peaceful revolution impossible u make violent revolution inevitable even though the goverment is trying to squish rebelion and the media portray protesters as hippies and anarchist theres still people protesting that fact alone shows the gooberment is failing and the people are slowly coming around

  • NON-HIPPIES SHOULD BE PROTESTING TOO. Hippies lead the way (also, usually hippies don't protest. They're just free-er thinkers than the rest of us. The iconoclasts are the ones who lead the way. If they're leading the way back to the Constitution, when people in Government are not, do you follow the one with the higher ideals, or thoe ones who say they won't beat u up if you listen to them. John the Baptist wore camel skins and ate locusts. They thought he was nuts too.

  • Exactly. I could care less about what you believe. I care what you do with it & why.

  • Don't worry, PUNKS of the world are with you! Although a lot of us dislike hippies because loving everyone and getting stoned won't get things done, but it's true that hippies lead the way in liberalism, anarchism and protests!

    Vive L'Anarchie!

    Punks not Dead!

  • Well, I love everybody (almost!) and I get stoned! But I know what u mean! I don't think I can take another invite to visualize peace! Not that there's anything wrong- but where are the protest, write to reps, hit the streets for peace? oi vey! life in the usa is crazee! Stimulator dott tv livess!!

  • Now as long as Jefferson Airplane is on stage and the demonstration remains peaceful, those big mean police officers don't need to fire pepper spray.

Get violent, get rowdy, get your ass kicked.

  • That's the point - there were people doing absolutely nothing. Check out Ground Noise and Static by Stimulator on YouTube. And check out the vid on Corbett Report on coming martial law. It's on the books already - dissent = terrorist and enemy combatant. THAT's the real problem.

  • does these libs not have jobs.....??

  • The acts of the police at the RNC got the attention of Amnesty International.

  • It should bother every last American that these protestors were not viewed by our "to protect and serve" police dept. as CITIZENS excercising their constitutional right to protest, no- in the new Bush vernacular, they are now viewed by law enforcement as "Enemy Combatants". I have a real problem with that. Look at these policemen/women. Do they look like they're there to protect and serve anyone? They look more like they are poised to attack than to protect. No room in America for Americans now.

  • George Bush...YOU'RE FIRED!!!

  • You still thought the US was free? Well, here's some reality for you.Nevermind the dykes and hippies by the way, you'll always encounter those when this kindof stuff is happening.

  • I agree with the message, but the methods suck. obvious dykes, cheesy music and a bunch of hippies, marches, drums, etc only denigrates any real progress. why is it the only people to really have a clue about politics seem have some type of excessively 'individualistic' image to the point they're ridiculous? this is half the reason why most people don't have a clue is because they always get this image of cheesyness in their head any time the issues are challenged.

  • so what the hell do you naysayers do while people who care are out on the street taking the hits? working on your heterosexuality? good luck.

  • look i've seen it from both sides. i used to be one of those conservative, mindless jerkoffs who could care less about issues and was a military worshipper etc. the thing that stood out for me any time my ideas were challenged by those en masse was the whole uber-liberal image. it's retarded. if you want to convince an employer, you change up your image to be more credible. why not do the same for trying to convince the rest of the population of a message.

  • So, you're saying if a "liberal" wants to be more credible, they should try to appear like a conservative, mindless jerkoff? Is that your idea of freedom and liberty?

  • no, not quite that extreme of a false dichotomy. all i'm saying is look a little less extreme liberal. is that asking too much? when a person applies for a job do they go to the job with their typical hanging around clothes? no. i'm not saying whether it's right or wrong, all i'm saying is don't expect people to listen if you look like the standard fare bitchers/whiners. you have to work with reality a bit, it sucks, but going full bore the way you want isn't always efficient.

  • So every one else has to work within your definition of reality and "acceptable" appearance. It's pretty much been my experience that conservative, mindless jerkoffs don't give a flying rat's ass what you look like if your not in complete agreement with them anyway. Conservative, mindless jerkoffs do not listen to others. What do "standard fare bitchers/whiners" look like anyway? Are you sure you've seen it from both sides?

  • Why did your comments get thumbs down? I disagree with some of the things you are saying & agree with others. I loathe stereotypes & dislike the word "retard".

It's on par with "cretin" which was a weapon used during Eugenics programs. Does free speech only apply to what you want to hear? I listened because you had something to say. It should be a two way street regardless if you're "whining".

  • I'm not promoting anything against free-speech so that's a bit of a strawman argument. What I am against though is the entirely layman and simplistic idea that one can get one's message across efficiently without trying whatsoever to look credible. I'm not a fan of stereotypes either, but they exist and they exist for reasons. If people keep falling into those stereotypes, then they get stereotyped. I don't understand the surprise.

  • I didn't say that you are against free speech. I said you had a right to it & questioned why you received a thumbs down.

    Interesting choice of words.

Strawman -an informal fallacy based on misrepresentation of an opponent's position.

Stereotype - a simplified and standardized conception or image invested with special meaning.

I'll agree they exist for reasons. There's no need to understand because I'm not surprised. I'm concerned about the use of labels to dehumanize individuals based on bias.

  • well here's where i thought you were insinuating my stance on free speech:

"Does free speech only apply to what you want to hear?" it wasn't clear whether you were speaking in general or to me.

  • Agreed, I was posing it as a question for all.

  • Thash, may I callu thrash?), the MEDIA PORTRAYS Anarchists as violent trouble makers - not so. Check out Utah Phillips for an anarchist extraodinaire. Also, to see a 'normal' person up on the issues, check out Naomi Klein. She has been on the mainstream media lately, thank God. We need more of her ilk. Hey you sound normal. Be a spokesperson. As for me, at almost every protest, as a Christian, I have a Christian sign. Who Would Jesus Torture greeted D. Rumsfeld when he came to town. No Whining!!

  • well Naomi does come off as more credible. I mean I know it's difficult with some of these hardheaded ignorant neocons..they think anybody challenging their view is therefore the 'typical liberal'. in that case it doesn't matter. but for the moderates it does. They don't listen to the 'typical' types. I'm sick of being considered a typical liberal though because I really don't fit that stereotype whatsoever except for agreeing on the important issues.

  • More assumptions. I don't consider you anything but a human with a voice & something to say. I'm sick of being considered not liberal or conservative enough, not Atheist or Theist enough, not rock or rap enough, not macho or sensitive enough, not white or native American enough. I'm sick of people telling me to close my mind & do like they do. I want you to challenge my view. I tried challenging others & warned them not to elect Bush. Both times.

Huh, did you see what we agree on?

  • you got me a bit confused. what 'more assumptions'? I was replying to someone else about Naomi and wasn't talking about your consideration of me as a typical liberal at all.

My point was in general. I'll state a stance I have on an issue, then be considered typical liberal. Whether it be hippie or the yuppie type. Both of which I'm not a part of nor wish to be. That's a personal thing. The public thing is people thinking they're message will be listened to using the same old failing methods.

  • Assumptions, generalizations, absolutes, dogma. They are chains for our minds. They create rifts. I'm moderate. I've yet to label you typical. I responded with a counter argument to emotion.

  • be a multiplier and fav this , rate it and spread. :)

    thx flux for your broadcasts

  • how can this be happening to a FREE country!

  • no democracy.. constitutional republic.

  • not even constitutional just a republic ruled only by common law!

  • What else could you expect from the people that brought us Abu-Ghirab and Guantanamo? Have you watched the TV coverage of the RNC? Have you noticed that there is ABSOLUTELY NO ONE of color among their delegates on the stands? That's nothing but a reflection of daily political reality in our country. Theirs is the party of the white folks that control the big money, while the Democratic Party is the true party of THE PEOPLE. Compare this goatfuck to last week's DNC in Denver...OBAMA RULES!!

  • No offense, we live in a democratic republic Flux. If this were a democracy, we would still have slavery. Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on whats for dinner. Ben Franklin.

  • I think instead of democracy, the word to use is Freedom. Just IMO!

  • Democracy is a Dictatorship of the majority

  • ya! well, the majority have a lot more common sense and interest in voting, but it's the minority, the corporatists, who rule now. the votes have been rigged (see stephen spoonamore vid seg 6 of velvet revolution interview on utube and SAIC report that Diebold machines are useless, highly hackable.) we don't have a democracy. We are turning into a fascistic police state: Fascism: corporations merged w/government, per Mussolini, it's inventor.

  • actually the majority of voting age americans are Non Voters. If they did they could whoever they wanted.

  • The problem is that the media in the US is so biased and filled with Goebbels-like repetitious propaganda, and that the government is not fulfilling it's promise to uphold the Constitution by provide a FREE (unbiased, multi-sided)PRESS to INFORM THE ELECTORATE. We aren't told the truth, and it's all framed in the Republicrats' favor. We aren't even told what the other platforms are. If Ron Paul, Nader, etc. debated, we might hear some truth for a change. But, then, we not recognize it.

  • Nothing in the constitution promises to "provide" any (news) information. Nothing in the constitution promises the press to be unbiased and multi-sided. You really need to read the constitution before saying stupid things.

The constitution allows freedom of the press. That freedom includes the right to be biased and one-sided. It isnt the press's job to "inform you" its YOUR job to do the research and inform yourself.

  • The Founders saw the press as a fourth column,. "Demoracy requires an informed electorate" Journalists DO have a responsibility to provide accurate info. The NYTimes was used to propagate the Yellow Uranium hoax which led to the loss of 1.34 million Iraqi lives The powers that be retracted the Fairness Doctrine and Equal Access. Now we have biased propaganda and infotainment used to promote war and support the ruling classes, the same people who own the media It's no about democracy, but profit

  • Journalists having a moral responsibility and you having a "constitutional" right, are two totally different things.

You have absolutely no right to be presented unbiased, multi-view point, news from anyone. A free press is merely a voice of the "people." They have no legal obligation to even tell the truth.

  • While I disagree with the Iraq war, its foolish to call it "Illegal." The war was within US and International law. Also, Obama just took office and is planning a withdrawl. How has he perpetuated an unjust war?

  • Seriously? Have you read the constitution? First of all, the president has the constitution allows the president to declare war for 90 days before he needs congressional approval.

Although all that is irrelevant considering he DID get congressional approval for the war!

  • All based on Bullshit lies. History will tell if this country has the brains and the balls to do something about the Nazi regime that has been running this country since 1963. Go back to sleep America, heres American Idle ,Foot ball and beer to keep your dumb asses busy while rob the whole country blind.there is no right or left. It is called divide and conquer.

  • 803brando: UH, it seem you never noticed, but we are NOT a Democracy. Your ignorance dilutes your validity. The war with Iraq was legal. Maybe NOT what many wanted, but it was NOT illegal according to our Constitution. Go back and get educated.

  • Show me how that this war is not illegal we did not get the UN approval that makes it illegal in both US and international law explain that one to me

  • There is no law in the US requiring UN approval for ANY war. The war was supported (by an overwhelming majority) and voted on by congress. Therefore, legal under US law.

The UN passed many resolutions (the UN doesn't actually pass ANY international laws) that authorized military action if Iraq did not comply with UN regulations. Iraq defied UN regulations repeatedly. (Mainly by barring UN inspectors from searching for WMDs. Therefore the war was actually supported by the UN, breaking no law

  • Um yes there in a law that says that we need the UN approval to go to war. In article 6 of the US constitution it states that any treaty signed by the United States becomes part of the supreme law of the land. If you dont know how the UN was formed I will tell you. It was formed when nations signed the UN Charter after WWII. The United Nations Charter is the treaty that forms and establishes the international organization called the United Nations.

  • The United States was one of the first to sign this charter on June 26, 1945. In this charter it states about war that it forbids the use of force by any nation except in two circumstances those are # 1, a country can defend itself if it is attacked by another country, and #2, a country can legally use force by getting authorization by the UN security counsel. #1 we were not attacked and #2 we did not get authorization by the security counsel.

  • So yes this war is illegal. If you dont believe me Ill send you two links, but you can also use your fingers and Google it too its all there for you to see.

  • The threat of WMDs was justification of self defense. Numerous UN resolutions authorized military force if Iraq failed to comply. The peace agreement between the US and Iraq required them to comply. They didn't. I am against the war, and always have been. However, it was not, in any way, illegal. Your links only provided a bias look at some parts of the issue, and not the whole truth.

  • There was no proof that Iraq had WMDs, and anyways according to the UN charter you cant attack on the premise that he has WMDs you need an attack and again we where not attacked. You again, have come to the idea that the UN had authorized military force if Iraq failed to comply, but again you have no self defense.

  • The fact is the UN security counsel did not approve the war they said to give more time, and the US did not. About my links these are proof that the war is illegal they are not bias they are US law, so unless you can prove with evidence; well lets just say give me evidence which you havent given me any.

  • You rock! I was looking at your video and then I saw you had just sent it to me on gmail as I was watching it. You rock! Connections psychic!
