Now that's more like it. A decidedly more original Dragon Ball themed game for this generation than the next Budokai/Tenkaichi fighting game reiteration. A 2.5D adventure game, no less, starring Goku and retelling the events of the original anime series. Could be fine, might be a greatest-hits title. We'll see.

Why are all of you comparing this to Raging Blast? This is platformer and Raging Blast is a fighter. Why are you comparing this to PS3 and 360 games? Wii games are not really ment to compete with PS3 or 360 games. Wii focuses on a different style of gameplay than the other two consoles. Quit comparing apples and oranges.

Toriyama was burnt out by the time he finished Dragonball, so he just didn't (and still doesn't) have it in him to work on any long series. He's made a bunch of one-shots and the seven part Neko Majin series, but that's about it.

As for a successor from "Toei-Studios" (Toei is just the animation company that made the anime adaptation, Toriyama works under "Bird Studios" and Sueisha), many people consider One Piece to be the spiritual successor to Dragonball.

The Budokai Tenkaichi games are fighting games, and the upcoming DS game is an RPG. Revenge of King Piccolo is a sidescrolling beat-em-up. A DBZ sidescrolling beat-em-up done right could be awesome.
