I figured Seger for a one-man CCR. His songs are achingly nostalgic to those of us who lived those times, because his songs even in their written present tense were about recall. He sang about what had been, and what still was, like in this song. Decades later they hurt so good. I got to be 30 years old for the maximum 365 days allowed--and then I did 31, and so on. Don't ask me how I can be 65 now.
