Beautiful. I'm so fond of Indian rhytms, tune and music. I Love the harmonium, tabla or dholok. Lady Malhotra sings in tune.. Thanks. I love Indian music.
Dr.Bukhari - Thanks a million - I had forgotten this song which I heard constantly from a neighbor's gramaphone late at night in Calcutta as a young boy.. Loved it then and love it now - Sahir the great poet of India.
The moment i saw this video i was so magically attracted that i saw it again n again i had heard the origial n liked it but this one is so soothing so romantic Sudha Malhotra has sung a novelty her rendition is par excellance she has pronounced each word so delicately n perfectly that words speak out their full meanings her soft, subtle, flowing musical gestures n her beauty make this video a class act spritely imaginative lyrics too great job doctor any other of her live songs
Dr Hassan Bukhari thanks for the good ghazal of Sahir jee who was favourite of Sudhajee can u upload the Sudha+Talat ham tumhaare ho chuke hain ham ko tumse pyar hai pt shivram made the tune song from rangila raja please do that as well thanks
Thank you for this fantastic masterpiece. Do you have any other recordings that the BBC made where guest singers took part such as Hemant Kumar, Ravi Shanker Sharma, Lataji, Mehdi Hassan, C Ramchandra, Abida Parveen etc.?
I first listened to the same song in a bbc broad cast in the early 70's perhaps the same year it was recorded as given by Dr. Bukhari. But later I didn't hear any thing by the same singer and given the limits of that time was unable to discus it on a large plate form like the tube. So I forgot the singer, until I listened a ghazal by a singer called Sudha Malhotra and hectically searched the music shops for her album. That was in 80's some year but couldn't get any thing.
One of the best comments that I came across: so positive and so very convincingly challenging at the same time. Best way to ward off negativism is to throw a bait that either brings the stoush in the open or smothers it instantly! You applied the appropriate tools for challenging unworthy 'experts'. Good on ya.
I have a preference for peaceful romantic , simple songs of 'the good old days", with little musical instruments ( no orchestre!) . I have also seen modern Indian film music. Might be impressive, technically seen, but generally speaking, doesn't impress me at all. Thank you very much.
thanx dear ..and thats what my aim is.. to get the new generation aware of the gems their forefathers produced for entertaining the whole world. Keep in touch plz.

Then learn the language Sangit, you'll only then you can relish the beauty & the depth of the urdu. The great singer of today Jasjit Singh, Rajinder Mehta, Pankaj Udhas, Hariharan all vouched & requested on TV several times to the audience..& you'll never regret it.
peeth peechay kay sher mat baniyay himmat hei to better half ko sath lay ker maidan mein utariyay , bheins been ko shatallay kay sath nigal na gaey tau phir kahiyay ga. woman power often overpowers.
beta,u seem to b naee umar ki naee fasal n champion of women rights.i appreciate ur gesture.more then 80%people on this side of the globe, have firm conviction based on experience that no woman was made prophet coz Almighty knew that she will add or subtract [vehee]his orders as per her likes/dislikes ha ha.y dramas like sass bhi kabhi bahu thi n never sussar bhi kabhi damad thha ha ha
With due respect I beg to differ because I took my inspiration from jesus and Mary (as).and not from some women emancipation crap theory.
You have to agree that no prophet was ever born without a mother but without a father "oh yes". So ultimately it is woman power. And half the time when women feign dislike or inability to understand something they just want their "big boys" remain under the misconception of their own greatness. Hence it is stated that you cant understand a woman.
betaji, i cant change ur mind but it is old saying [jisne apne aap ko pehchan lia usne khuda ko pehchan lia. aur isi tarah i say jisne apni biwi ko pehchan lia usne dunya ki har aurat ko pehchan lia].it is my sons saying that who so ever ist goes to mother with any complain agaist any body, she is on his/her side n no body on earth can change her opinion ha ha

Granted it is different from the original. It is sung more in a ghazal andaz. Look at the expressions, passion, dard, ada, andaz, sensuality - this woman, as the legend goes, inspired Sahir Ludhianvi in composing the famous "Pyar parabas to nahi hain mera lekin phir bhi" (talat in Sone ki Chidiya)
This hoor is like a comet that shows up and faintly shines rarely and only those who are shying away from the brilliance of sun find it very soothing.
Lovehumanity.. this is the song I commented on. It's watered down due to lack of practice from the original. Would appreciate it if someone has "Tum mujhe bhool bhi jao to ye haq hai tumko" with Suman and Mukesh. Another Suman song I like is "Nanhi si pari meri ladli" from Dil Ek Mandir. An oldie I really love is "Salame-hasrat kabool kar lo".

We often forget to recognize the various instrumentalists accompanying the singers. These often unheralded artistes deserve praise, too. Here the accordionist, the violinist, the harmonium player, and the tabla player are all providing their own melodious yet understated connective phrases to make the gossamer-quality softness of Sudha's voice shine. The more I listen to this lyric the more I am struck by how beautiful those musical bridges between stanzas and the ambient sounds are.
