oh for crying out loud they dont have the first soprano line!?!? im doing Aida at my schooll and we only have 10, 15 people singing this entire song (including Aida) and we have every part accounted for thank you very much. and we sound epic (in my opinion:))
Heather Headley is such a powerful singer, not only for the role of Aida, but also she played Nala in the original Broadway cast of THE LION KING! THE LION KING was actually her Broadway debut. When Heather sang 'Shadowland' on the cast recording and the Late Night David Letterman Show, her singing and the emotion put into it was flawless! Same thing for this! WOW! HEATHER HEADLEY IS AMAZING!!! P.S. This is my favorite song from AIDA! Thumbs up if its is your favorite or if you like AIDA! :)!
Elton John & Tim Rice: Uhh... so umm.. Heather a lil birdy told us you're planning something special for the end of dance of the robe....care to share? Do you not feel currently...it's enough?
Heather: Bwaa haa ha...you just wait til we get to New York. *disappears in puff of smoke*
My school is doing aida this year and at the end of our dance of the robe the robe itself is being glamorized and i feel like it gives more of the message of the symbolism of the robe!
@MusicalLover6 as for the chorus group at the end..those are most likely the correct harmonies. it might sound off because its in a different key from the cast recording
@MusicalLover6 I'm pretty sure they sounded off because they were missing the soprano line. Actually, most of the videos seem to be missing the soprano line. Other than that, the harmonies seem to be correct.
i get goosebumps whenever I watch this..even though its only 48 seconds

I wasn't a fan of the flaming 'Nubia' either.
And that chorus group sounded off at the end of the song. Good lord.
But I thank Disney for putting up these clips of AIDA. It's nice seeing stuff that was lost for a long time.

A big flaming "NUBIA" on stage? must be from the Chicago pre-broadway version.
