  • I believe Leslie Howard is the only one among the gifted pianists of this generation who has devoted great effort in cataloguing and recording Liszt's gargantuan piano pieces collection, so many volumes of them ranging from youthful compositions to his ripe old age including the many revisions and versions of his works like this one and the famous Liebstraume in Ab. This for me is beyond ordinary human means. I tip my hat to Le Grand Connoiseur de Liszt Mon. Leslie Howard.

  • Another good and interesting listening from Mon. Leslie Howard is Liszt's 2nd piano concerto in A rewritten for solo piano, no orchestra. There are also the several versions of La Campanella and the Transcendental Etudes. Mazeppa was also given another version and the Paganini etude #4 and 5 have 2 versions. In all I can only say I stand in awe of Howard's output and his excellent pianistic ability. In spite of the huge repertoire, never sacrificed art and sincerity for mere sake of cataloguing.

  • DIAVOLO!!! lol. I like the original too.

  • hard 2 play !!

  • That was well done.
