  • For some reason I expect a pink-haired hermaphrodite and her racist stereotype friend to jump from a train to fight a giant robot scorpion when I hear this. Can't imagine why.

  • It's kind of slow

  • I love this tune. Probably the best opening to Final Fantasy ever!!

  • HC, whatever you do, its always amazing

  • Geez. Your emu couldn't quite handle this masterpiece of sound production could he? :p Weird changes in speed sometimes.

  • Awesome Work HCBailly. I'm guessing that must of took some time to put together.

    Thumbs Up!!!!

  • You are a GOD! I could live a lifetime, die, and come back and this song would still give me chills. And the six bit audio love that comes out of Mario paint makes it sound just like the original.

  • EPIC WIN

  • agreed

  • win

  • It's a broken link... never has worked, never will...

  • wow fantastic, well done!!

  • the volume on the cars in the beginning part is WAY OFF, but very good...

  • OH MY GOSH

  • Wow, this should be great on Final Fantasy VII Advance! :D

  • I can just imagine 16 bit cloud jumbing off a 2d train lol.

  • actually there is a FF7 Remake for the NES in japan. You can download its english tranaslation somewhere.

  • its actually a pirate, never authorized by square. its crappy, too.

  • @oosaf This is a very late reply but I think that someone made a 16bit opening to FFVII.

  • @oosaf ... 32 bit but yeah

  • Again I like this alot! good job.. keep it up!

  • Aside from the parts where the bass line went off tempo, excellent.

  • I love the train sound effects...they fit so perfectly.

  • Not to be mean or anything, but I liked NorseFTX's version better. His just seemed better. You still did a good job on this though. It takes time and skill to fully make a song like this. Lol. I wish I had the skill to actually make songs like yours and his.

And a funny note I just happened to run across.. You seem to be subscribed to him too. xD

  • I love your collection, but what I don't see, is Shinra Wages a Full Scale Attack.

  • wow awesome !!! the very bloody best !!

i'm working on Bach's "little fugue" - Fugue in G major, don't remember the BWV...

oh man would like to see/listen Sight of Spira !!!!

  • If only that percussion could be muffled a bit so the flowers could stand out more. Prefect job within the limits of MPC.

  • I agree the fire flowers should be louder.

  • Great job!

  • Man I loved FF7 and this was one of the greatest songs in the game.

  • this is really good.

you can picture the scene in your head.

Just one thing, at 0:51 where it goes Gsharp, E, Csharp, i think the E is supposed to be an F; its major.

Sorry, i dont mean to be overly critical but i noticed that straight away and it was bugging me but this is still really good :)

  • god this clicks on something inside me and i just think back to the PS1 days, FF7 was one of my 3 games, and it was the only one i played and it was also the one that makes me think, god i wish i could go back and beat it for the first time again.

  • almost perfect, but i think the flaw isn't ur fault.

u can here where it slows down a bit more than it should.

liek i said, not your fault. still an excellent job

  • like

  • pure skill rite there

  • right

  • This is underrated and absolutely amazing.

  • Are you saying FFVII is UNDERrated(O_O)? Or is it HCBaily's work?

    He rock.

  • O.O wow thats good

  • Wow....

I thought your other FFVII work was good, but this is even awesome. I can imagine Cloud jumping off the train and rushing in to bashing some heads with Barret.

  • That came out pretty darn well in Mario Paint. I'm impressed!!!

  • MUST PLAY FINAL FANTASY VII AGAIN

  • Me again - a "The Man With The Machine Gun V. 2.0" would be nice too, but it's up to you ^^

  • Good work, i follow your work since months now and i really have to appreciate your worx. Whats about a "Premonition V. 2.0"? Would really like to see this, because your quality increased extremely the time between =)

  • O.OAMAZING

  • Very impressive! I like it.

  • do you know how to convert bass clef into treble clef?

  • Raise it two notes. For example, a G-note would become a B-note.

  • thanks!

  • Wow. awesome xD Thanks a lot HC. It came out really well :)

  • I made a second request of him, for "Within The Giant" from FFIV. Is this awesome? xD

  • For one of the most memorable of the lesser-mentioned FFVII themes, this is just... I know this is horribly cliched, but some parts of this cause me to feel like I'm playing the game, starting Cloud's journey on my PS2.

As for comparison/contrast with NorseFTX's version, I can really only say that both are fabulous and that the differences are all about personal style - that is something that shouldn't be complained about, period. Another excellent job!

  • i'm doing one, but i'm deciding whether to put it in public.

  • This is my favorite so far! Hmm...would you do the Parasite Eve main theme?

  • NorseFTX already did this

  • Yeah. I wish I knew that after spending 4 hours on this one. Sorry, NorseFTX. I normally would ask before doing something like that. Oh well. It was fun.

  • makes you even with NorseFTX after dark messenger.

  • XD!

The important thing is to have fun while making these, so that's alright. =]

I really like how you used the heart as a repeated base line....taking the music apart in that MIDI program must give interesting insight to some melody lines that aren't easily heard. =P

  • I already have. :)

  • woot first comment.

nice, but doesn't the car kinda annoy you a little?
