you can tell marty is worried about lawsuits as sid is going on about All in the Family, his look is like "Sid, enough already, we created the shit we didn't steal it".
These men are the example of a PERFECT TEAM!! One is the "talant" that knows shit bout business and the other is the BUSINESSMAN that is the asshole,lol..Both are brothers working 4 the same goal..You cant beat that!!! Each needs each other, otherwise, it wont work..
It's ironic that the Kroffts successfully sued McDonald's for copying them when EVERYTHING the Kroffts did was a ripoff of something else. Example: Steely Dan's "Bodhisattva" and the theme for Dr. Shrinker.
Actually these two single handedly became a part of so many childrens lives. These two men were a major influence on childrens shows today. I do not think its being not caring about the interview, it seems more like hurt and bad memories of how hollywood treated these two great men. Any consolation, there are many adults today who are appreciative for making our lives a little happier.
Just listening to them talk about some of my favorite shows brings back so many wonderful memories for me. I have to say that Sigmund & the Seamonsters was my top favorite out of all the shows they did in the 70s. I loved their dog being a lobster. I had a Sigmund & the Seamonsters lunchbox in first grade. I loved that lunchbox so much.
lol I agree. Man the way Sid talked you would think it was up most tourture. I don't think they did not enjoy making those shows or they just plaine wound't do it. Um... I wished we would have been able to here more from Marty.
You could see and hear that Sid and Marty would have been SOOOOO much happier if they had a Male interviewer rather than the woman who interviewd them asking all those subtle yet probing questions about "Jack Wilde" & "Butch patrick" Any way... These 2 gave me a LOT of happiness when I was a kid and I love them for that and I can never thank them enuff!
I love Marty's quote: "We messed with the kid's minds in the 70s and that's why we have them today..."
They certainly messed with mine -- and my imagination thanks them for it. "H.R. Pufnstuf" is one of the wackiest, most imaginative shows ever on TV. They definitely redefined Saturday morning television. I hope they can continue to create amazing content and characters. Thank you Kroffts!
u can honestly tell who did all the deal makin' in these two
