Vampire Armand (The Appassionata)

this is my favorite book in the Vampire Chronicles, and Armand is definitely my favorite character. he is the best, i think, even better than Lestat. he is such an enigma.it's cheesy but i got so depressed when i read in Memnoch the Devil that Armand gave himself up to the sun. i didnt feel like reading the remaining book after that.good thing i bought the Vampire Armand and learned that Armand didnt really die because of his strength due to his old age and to Marius' blood inside of him.

0_0 my goodness, that was beautiful. Great job! I personally believe that the character of Armand was inspired by Botticelli's Portrait of a Youth, but Bjorn Andresen does fit the description perfectly. Good work!

Sometimes I even think Anne Rice was inspired by Tadzio, or even by Bjorn himself, to create Armand the vampire. See? Bjorn is Swedish and he played in Venice. Armand was also described to have quite a northern european look and lives with Marius in Venice... Selfishly I do wish Bjorn could play Armand, although it was impossible and this kind of 'beautiful boy fame' had almost ruined his whole life.

RocknRollDina: I think not. It's true that Amadeo is the the Italian equivalent word for Amadeus. But the reason Marius named him Amadeo is the meaning of the name - 'for the love of God'. (On the contrary, his 'enemy' Santino believes in no God but Satan.) And there's not any discussion, if I remember it correctly, of Mozart by Armand or Marius. Armand only mentioned Beethoven in his biography. Instead, I think, Lestat loves Mozart a lot ;)
