I wonder what the increments are that Weiner thinks we need to move toward single payer in. Is it gradually lowering the eligibility age? Is it starting with a strong public option? Something else?

I worked on health care for Paul Wellstone, and I lived in Canada and used their single payer system--after which my frustration at our complicated, profit-driven, rationed "system" only grew. I don't think it's quite the ideal, but it's FAR better than the status quo.

I don't think having private insurance and having private insurance that you want to keep are the same thing.

Thank you for responding to my question about single payer health care. Fight hard for it. We need it.
