Heres the real solution forget the carbon tax, Plant more trees and stop deforestation. This will alow the trees to "inhale" CO2 and produce oxygen for humans to breathe. This carbon tax is freidiculous carbon is not harmful as you breathe guess what your exhaling? thats right CO2 so should we all get taxed for exhaling?

@wikidpat There's a carbon balance between organisms taking in CO2 and those exhaling it. That balance hasn't changed much since humans have been around, until the last hundred years. Fossil fuel extraction currently produces a carbon burden of somewhere around 100M MT/day CO2. The ocean adsorbs most of it, and the atmosphere the rest. Breathing's not the problem. Deforestation is bad but trees alone can't absorb that burden. We're introducing new CO2 to the atmosphere. Check your math.

Even IF global warming's a scam, this video's plan is STILL a very good thing. It creates incentives to cut carbon emissions, which is a terrible disease-causing pollutant that robs us of breathable oxygen - WHETHER OR NOT they're also warming the planet. It meets the VERY desirable goal of cleaning the air, without the corrupt shell games that enrich those offering false solutions. EVEN IF it turns out climate change was bogus, we're still ahead, & the power is still in the hands of the people!

I agree the whole cap and trade game is just an act of self delusion, but I don't think the solution provided here goes far enough. I don't see any real progress happening until "economic growth" is seen as negative. Not until we start paying people not have babies will we be on the right track. Until that occurs, the only real plan is what I like to call "Plan B: Let the climate change." Since man is incapable of true environmental stewardship, then it's better to let nature take care of it.

Do not forget the topics at hand. This is not a partisan issue; it should have been a bi-partisan issue but green technology has always been a partisan issue mocked by the right.

I think it's his comment from 6:30-6:57 is what they wanted removed. It could be misconstrued and taken out of context (i.e. played on tv, edited into other videos). That's just a guess though.

It's a ridiculous reaction, but they are employees and when they say something against the EPAs views they are doing them a disservice. I think this is an important video to watch and the EPA has approved the website they started and many of the articles they've written on this same subject.

I cant understand this statement. Cap and trade, or an ETS, will allow investors to buy carbon credits on a market. How is that socialist. Lets call a spade a Spade, "Carbon fees with Offsetts", is a Carbon Tax. A carbon tax is a more left wing solution then a market based one like cap and trade.

Having said the above, I agree that a carbon tax is more effective, further to this it allows governments to place a fee on carbon imports of countries who do not apply the tax.

Actually the EPA independently (The EPA is led by Lisa Jackson who was appointed by Obama) wanted them to cut out that their opinion is "based on 20 years at the United States Environmental Protection Agency".

Yes, I think it's unnecessary censorship, but it's Agency policy that people not stress their affiliation with the Agency when discussing things as citizens.

Climate Bill will NOT get rid of Pollution. If and When trading begins with these credits, the Wall Street financial scammers will find the loopholes. If we want to get serious about Climate Change tell your Congressman to Vote NO on Cap and Trade: then lets get serious about clean coal, natural gas, Nuclear Energy and renewable energy here at home. We can produce energy from pure waste products-NASA invent a CLOSED-LOOP system to capture the gases instead of Wall Street manipulation of credits
