[continuation] But for me, Mahler's œuvre (like Mozart's) is the exception to everything, including his works for voice (e.g., die Rückert Lieder and Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen). In this video --- your first, you say -- you come across as a bit diffident, but I suspect that will change with age. I certainly hope you're able to grow beyond preöccupation with Christian (or any other) religious nonsense -- that crap's poisonous to a guy's spirit! Thanks again and best luck!

Hey, I tremendously enjoy your postings of Mahler's symphonies, and was happy to find this self-introduction -- I shall try to search out other stuff you've contributed to YouTube. A physician, not a musician, I'm a Schmarotzer: a parasite who battens on music, but produces nothing himself. My formal knowledge of the art is non-existent, but I've grown to appreciate music in many of its forms, perhaps leaning more toward chamber works than others. I'll continue this ramble below...

Cool! He's also a FANTASTIC pianist, (probably the best in the world, and has held that title for a while) If you want to hear the only worthwhile version of the Beethoven symphonies, piano concertos or sonatas, go no farther than Daniel Barenboim!

If everyone wanted to hear music about bible bashing and god hating you would have to chose a different profession since you would probably go to hell.
