How long was your natural hair before you started loc'ing? I love them at chin length to almost shoulder length.... think I'll wait patiently until my hair is that long to start loc'ing.

Sister, your locs are beautiful, the one small amount of advice I can give you, which might be large in the impact it will have on the health of your hair, If you want to prevent transepidermal water loss (dry scalp) you should use a product with a natural fatty acid complex, that will help provide a water proof barrier.

Thank you for sharing. I love natural hair. I cannot afford sisterlocks, so I had my daughter braid my hair in microbraids with specific partings. My plan is to allow the braids to mature to locs. Thanks for sharing!

The locks are looking good! In my first three weeks I think my parts still were apparent. You're going to have a thick head of locks since your parts barely show after the first week! Can't wait to see the locks 6mths from now.
