The little kid is dreaming that his father is actually going to slay dragons instead, but his dream serves as a metaphor for a business meeting.

I've flown 500,000 miles on United with not a single problem. I'm a grown man and cannot watch their Gershwin/Rhapsody commercials without getting choked up. The commercial was done by a director named Jamie Caliiri. He also does music videos, you can probably find his latest for the Jesca Hoop song "Money" on youtube - unless her label is a pain. I agree that he's very talented but I don't think he has any intention to do even a short anytime soon.

They use it to entice people to travel with them. For every one free flight people earn, they have to fly around 20 normal flights, which means that the airlines make money from each of those flights. The benefits outweigh the costs.

Their service was awesome before, but it's been taking a hit recently. I used to always fly United, but I end up flying other airlines sometimes because the price is skyrocketing. International service is much better than their domestic service though.

The song is "Rhapsody in Blue" by George Gershwin. They purchased a liscense for the song, which they have until 2020. It is pretty much their theme song, and was previously incorporated very heavily in their safety announcements and advertisements, but its becoming more subtle now.
