Had Disney put as much care into the entire movie as they did the first 5 minutes, this would've been an amazing film.
This track is the track to the greatest momment in a Disney film ever.
Then, they threw lips onto the Iguanadon, put monkeys in, antagonized the Carnotaurs a lot more, scrapped feathered raptors, got rid of amazing (though dark) scenes, such as a Mosasaur river of death, ect...ect..ect...
Okay, so a few days ago I heard this music in some program on TV that always uses soundtracks from animated movies for background music... Until now, I could always point out exactly what ones they were, but I heard this one, and I couldn't.
Whenever I see the beginning were the eggs trvels through the water and the air, it always reminds me of the story of Moses and how he traveled through the basket in the Nile.
im almost in tears no that i hear this, i was only like 10 when this first came out, and i remember me and my little brother (who was about 3 maybe 4 at the time) would use to watch it all the time and play together, hes 12 as of today and im 19, and in the next couple months, ill be leaving home for school out of state, and one of the things ill always miss is my little brother, and ill never forget all the great times we had, i hear this song and it makes me so nostalgic for that =:::)
My son love this movie and definitely this song!! We watched the movie umpteen times but never get bored with it.. The movie taught my son how dinosaurs went into extiction.. Hope that he will become a paleontologist in the future!!
I remember myself as a child and watching this move. Now my brother who is only two loves dinosaurs and when he gets old enough I shall show this movie to him.
@ALFREDOPOKEMON-they were cool. I agree, although I really liked the little guy from the intro of the film that was peaking around all the nests and discovered the Caunator :D
this song used to give me goose bumps when i was five and i still get them now! :) a brilliant soundtrack to a brilliant, yet under rated (in my opinion) movie.
Whenever i hear this it reminds of when a father and a mother finally set eyes on they're new born child, rejoicing and happy. To me the african shouts from 0:46 to 1:00 really let me vizualize the amazement of a child being born. Sort of reminds me of Lion King
I remember cheering on Simba when he fought Scar. I remember booing at Ursela, when she took Ariels voice. I remember fighting the Huns side by side with Mulan. I remember the wind through my hair, running by Pocahontas. I remember being locked in the Beast's castle. I remember laughing and having fun with Mickey and his friends. I don't remember watching Teen Drama on stupid Disney Channel. Copy and paste this to all you favorite Disney Videos, and let's start a revolution.
Today I have been given very good news. I have been accepted into a University in the Great Britain which is my country, to do BSc Palaeontology. I am 18, and now I heark back to my childhood to come to terms with this historic day for me. I am going to be a Palaeontologist...
@ThePalaeontologist Congradulations. I want to become one but need some advice. Am I going to get far knowing the best places to find the bones and nearly everything there is to know about dinosaurs?
@birdbasher You want to seriously dare question my spelling of Palaeontologist? An actual Palaeontology University student? Oh this is just too funny. I may as well be sporting an explain to you beforehand, that I am going to annihilate you now. Right, first of all, you reek of jealousy. Now for the important stuff - Palaeontology is the BRITISH spelling. British English is the PARENT tongue, with its own rich parentage. Palaeo = Old/Ancient. Paleo = ? Nothing. Just a corruption of the British.
@ThePalaeontologist Its worth mentioning the worlds first true professional Palaeontologists, were British and to a lesser extent French. Sir Richard Owen ring a bell? He coined the term Dinosauria ;)
@ThePalaeontologist Oh and, Palaeontology is my life. I don't need some cheeky bastard scoffing at me with such a ridiculous statement. You are just another rank amateur. Seriously, don't try it kid.
@ThePalaeontologist don't freak out man, he misunderstood you, in america we do spell it paleontology. but good for you dude good luck at college and have fun doing what you do
@HammerFloyd I am well aware of how Americans spell certain words. I have had too many like this who genuinely do think the British is wrong or non-existent even, and you cannot prove he is misunderstanding me, whereas I can highlight the evidence of his more than likely intended tone; 'Good for you', followed by an erroneously conceived and irritating statement. Thanks for the compliment though. I like some Americans. Not all lol
@petealex1612 As Iguanodon was the second ever named Dinosaur after Megalosaurus, both named before the term Dinosauria was even coined by Sir Richard Owen, I've been beaten to it by nearly 200 years! We have a wealth of Iguanodon finds. Some Palaeontologists like Dr.David Norman specialise in the study of Iguanodon, being world renowned for his knowledge of the animal. Aladar himself...now thats difficult to prove haha
@ThePalaeontologist good luck mate, i remember wanting to be a palaeontologist as well (first childhood movies jurassic park and dinosaur, as well as land before time) :D, happy for you i am (sounded like yoda) peace out and good luck
@ThePalaeontologist yeah, loved that time, back when movies were about feelings, emotions, courage, triumph and intelligence . . . . . . . now it's just plain money . . . . but well, again i wish ya lots of luck and how lucky are you :D, a palaeontologist, how amazing is that :D, peace.
Very powerful music that takes me back 11 years to my earlier years - which in turn, in the case of the brilliant film, took us all back 65 Million Years to the time of Dinosaurs. I love the development from quirky at the start, what with the strange and lucky journey by which the egg was saved, first off in the hands of the weird egg thief Oviraptorid. Then it becomes serious and grand - my favourite part... 0:59 - 1:17 is just epic and conveys the majesty of the Dinosaurs. Its just brilliant.
@Eyeglompyou Not always. There are adult movies with epic music. Inception, King Kong, etc. But you are right, there are more kids movies with epic music than adult movies.

@TigerEyeNoxera Ye, but what is freedom? The freedom you are speaking of, would make civilized life impossible. Unless you truly wish to live like a free man, without any connection to modern society, you can believe in freedom. Before that, it's useless.
@K4inan I dont see TigerEyeNoxera explaining his/her view of freedom. Therefore, your comment doesnt make any sense. " The freedom you are speaking of, " what, exactly, is the 'freedom' he/she spoke of? funny, you asked "what is freedom?" and soon after that you comment as if you know exactly what it is, even when TigerEyeNoxera didnt mention his/her view.
@K4inan regardless, if you think freedom is useless, then obvoiusly Your view of freedom isnt the same as mine. Stop making assumptions. not all minds think alike. What freedom means to you may be radically different from what freedom means to someone else.
I remember this movie so well...my cousin and I used to root for the Pteranodon, thinking that she, instead of eating the egg, was gonna take it to raise as one of her own...this song just brought that back.
Just like anything with Hans Zimmer will make it awesome, anything with James Newton Howard will make it awesome as well.

@K4inan
By freedom I mean living free, without any rules and obligations the modern world
has set us. I didn't say that it was possible, not even animals are free anymore because of us.
But I can always hope and dream. And maybe someday my dream will come true.

@TigerEyeNoxera That would be awesome, but since that vision is most likely never to come true, here's a joke to put a smile on your face.
"Why was the energizer bunny arrested?......................cuz he was charged with battery" pfffffffhuahahahaha!!
...................ahh youtube.
K ....have a good one! bye. :D

@TigerEyeNoxera Yea. Breathtaking isn't it? I kinda see me flying thru a beautiful saurian paradise, or at least looking down at it from a cliff.

I remember this movie so well...my cousin and I used to root for the Pteranodon, thinking that she, instead of eating the egg, was gonna take it to raise as one of her own...this song just brought that back.

I remember seeing Dinosaur in 2000 at a place
called Live Oak Cinema which is in the New Braunfels
and San Antonio Area in Texas!
