  • Just like anything with Hans Zimmer will make it awesome, anything with James Newton Howard will make it awesome as well.

  • It still gives me goosebumps,e ven today...

  • Had Disney put as much care into the entire movie as they did the first 5 minutes, this would've been an amazing film.

This track is the track to the greatest momment in a Disney film ever.

Then, they threw lips onto the Iguanadon, put monkeys in, antagonized the Carnotaurs a lot more, scrapped feathered raptors, got rid of amazing (though dark) scenes, such as a Mosasaur river of death, ect...ect..ect...

  • FUCK YEA HAHAHAHA :3

  • Thumbs up if Doug Walker's Disneycember brought you here

  • James Newton Howard is up there with legends like Hans Zimmer and Steve Jablonsky

  • 1:31 boss

  • GooseBump alert at 0:50

  • Hmm. So far, I think this could work for "The Croods."

  • Dumpert

  • Okay, so a few days ago I heard this music in some program on TV that always uses soundtracks from animated movies for background music... Until now, I could always point out exactly what ones they were, but I heard this one, and I couldn't.

Now I have found it, and I couldn't be happier.

  • why have Dinosaur movies have always such great soundtracks? I love this one and Jurassik Park<3 huuuuaaaa chills

  • Whenever I see the beginning were the eggs trvels through the water and the air, it always reminds me of the story of Moses and how he traveled through the basket in the Nile.

    Don't ya think?

  • ...I so wish I could fly right now.

  • when i hear this song, especially after 1:35, i just imagine flying through a heard of sauropods. EPIC AS SHIT!

  • Today i have been given very good news. I am going to be garbage man!

  • @Flowraince Better news today! I am going to have a daughter that is a hermaphrodite!

  • @Flowraince CONGRATURATIONES!

  • i love this song, especially at 1:35 :D ah... the old Disney...

  • 2:25 Sh*t just got real BD

  • This is one my favorite songs EVER. Thank you for uploading this!

  • 1:14 and onward is the best.

  • 0:46 is where this soundtrack really starts getting epic. Anyone agree?

  • I LOVE IT FROM 1:39 onwards

  • Phantasialand :)

  • 1.32 - 1.39 WOW................

  • This whole sequence and score is better than the rest of the movie.

  • @MacabreKitten It pains me to say, but I agree with you.

  • One of my favorite movies of all time. I had forgot all about it, until Yesterday where I saw it for the first time in 7 years.

  • im almost in tears no that i hear this, i was only like 10 when this first came out, and i remember me and my little brother (who was about 3 maybe 4 at the time) would use to watch it all the time and play together, hes 12 as of today and im 19, and in the next couple months, ill be leaving home for school out of state, and one of the things ill always miss is my little brother, and ill never forget all the great times we had, i hear this song and it makes me so nostalgic for that =:::)

  • @dark12794 Wait for a couple of years when the new depression kicks in. Chances are you will be flying back in no time.

  • nostalgia which gave me tears ;(

    epic <3

this does not deserve to be pirated, but bought instead to support this!

  • I was crazy about this when I was a kid (I was 9 when this came out) It's hard to believe that it was......so long ago.....

  • i saw this in the cinema! how long ago was this :|... i'm 18 now... i feel old.

  • @DONTMAKEMEBITEYOUU

you are young! I'm 35 and saw it in cenema, and today my children are watchin the movie...

  • Who is the composer?

  • @76Macbeth James Newton Howard

  • My son love this movie and definitely this song!! We watched the movie umpteen times but never get bored with it.. The movie taught my son how dinosaurs went into extiction.. Hope that he will become a paleontologist in the future!!

  • the 2:45 is missing :o

  • I remember myself as a child and watching this move. Now my brother who is only two loves dinosaurs and when he gets old enough I shall show this movie to him.

  • i remember my childhood :)

  • EPIC

  • @ALFREDOPOKEMON-they were cool. I agree, although I really liked the little guy from the intro of the film that was peaking around all the nests and discovered the Caunator :D

  • my favourites dinosaurs were the those with long neck!!

  • this song used to give me goose bumps when i was five and i still get them now! :) a brilliant soundtrack to a brilliant, yet under rated (in my opinion) movie.

  • 1989-2002, 2009, best disney animated movies ever

  • This is MY generation :)

  • Whenever i hear this it reminds of when a father and a mother finally set eyes on they're new born child, rejoicing and happy. To me the african shouts from 0:46 to 1:00 really let me vizualize the amazement of a child being born. Sort of reminds me of Lion King

  • @kalohaloful How boring...

  • I remember cheering on Simba when he fought Scar. I remember booing at Ursela, when she took Ariels voice. I remember fighting the Huns side by side with Mulan. I remember the wind through my hair, running by Pocahontas. I remember being locked in the Beast's castle. I remember laughing and having fun with Mickey and his friends. I don't remember watching Teen Drama on stupid Disney Channel. Copy and paste this to all you favorite Disney Videos, and let's start a revolution.

  • If freedom had a sound, this would be it. Especially 1:40 :) This music makes me want something more out of life....know what I mean?

  • Today I have been given very good news. I have been accepted into a University in the Great Britain which is my country, to do BSc Palaeontology. I am 18, and now I heark back to my childhood to come to terms with this historic day for me. I am going to be a Palaeontologist...

  • @ThePalaeontologist Congradulations. I want to become one but need some advice. Am I going to get far knowing the best places to find the bones and nearly everything there is to know about dinosaurs?

  • @ThePalaeontologist congratulations!!! It's so inspiring to read your comment!

  • @ThePalaeontologist

Good for you, first thing you need to do is learn how to spell paleontologist....

  • @birdbasher You want to seriously dare question my spelling of Palaeontologist? An actual Palaeontology University student? Oh this is just too funny. I may as well be sporting an explain to you beforehand, that I am going to annihilate you now. Right, first of all, you reek of jealousy. Now for the important stuff - Palaeontology is the BRITISH spelling. British English is the PARENT tongue, with its own rich parentage. Palaeo = Old/Ancient. Paleo = ? Nothing. Just a corruption of the British.

  • @ThePalaeontologist Its worth mentioning the worlds first true professional Palaeontologists, were British and to a lesser extent French. Sir Richard Owen ring a bell? He coined the term Dinosauria ;)

  • @ThePalaeontologist Oh and, Palaeontology is my life. I don't need some cheeky bastard scoffing at me with such a ridiculous statement. You are just another rank amateur. Seriously, don't try it kid.

  • @ThePalaeontologist don't freak out man, he misunderstood you, in america we do spell it paleontology. but good for you dude good luck at college and have fun doing what you do

  • @HammerFloyd I am well aware of how Americans spell certain words. I have had too many like this who genuinely do think the British is wrong or non-existent even, and you cannot prove he is misunderstanding me, whereas I can highlight the evidence of his more than likely intended tone; 'Good for you', followed by an erroneously conceived and irritating statement. Thanks for the compliment though. I like some Americans. Not all lol

  • @ThePalaeontologist

Genuine good for you, of course I'm jealous! American-English, English-English, pain in the ass..........or is that arse?

  • @birdbasher ;) Though both words exist in the O.E.D anyway...

  • @ThePalaeontologist Congratulations make all of us proud!

Ps. If you find a new large theropod can you name it "Grimlock" for me?

  • @ThePalaeontologist Well good luck finding Aladar fossilized :D

  • @petealex1612 As Iguanodon was the second ever named Dinosaur after Megalosaurus, both named before the term Dinosauria was even coined by Sir Richard Owen, I've been beaten to it by nearly 200 years! We have a wealth of Iguanodon finds. Some Palaeontologists like Dr.David Norman specialise in the study of Iguanodon, being world renowned for his knowledge of the animal. Aladar himself...now thats difficult to prove haha

  • @ThePalaeontologist good luck mate, i remember wanting to be a palaeontologist as well (first childhood movies jurassic park and dinosaur, as well as land before time) :D, happy for you i am (sounded like yoda) peace out and good luck

  • @chimich1994 Thanks. Much Appreciated. Land Before Time (Original) is a classic! btw great taste

  • @ThePalaeontologist yeah, loved that time, back when movies were about feelings, emotions, courage, triumph and intelligence . . . . . . . now it's just plain money . . . . but well, again i wish ya lots of luck and how lucky are you :D, a palaeontologist, how amazing is that :D, peace.

  • Fly a plane through the Grand Canyon and listen to this EPIC

  • goosebump for the whole song.

  • Very powerful music that takes me back 11 years to my earlier years - which in turn, in the case of the brilliant film, took us all back 65 Million Years to the time of Dinosaurs. I love the development from quirky at the start, what with the strange and lucky journey by which the egg was saved, first off in the hands of the weird egg thief Oviraptorid. Then it becomes serious and grand - my favourite part... 0:59 - 1:17 is just epic and conveys the majesty of the Dinosaurs. Its just brilliant.

  • I get goosebumps at 1:13

  • Why do they use this song in the "Around the world in 80 days" trailor?? xD

  • Making the most epic video with this to me and my horse. I just listened to it driving home about 9 times.

  • Imagining winning something with this song on.

  • thank god, almost 10 years and still beautiful, nothings changed.

  • this movie is awesome

1 of THE ONLY PG RATED DISNEY FILMS!

  • *cringe*

    lol :)

  • Is it just me or do kids movies have the more epic music? =)

  • @Eyeglompyou I agree! :)

  • @Eyeglompyou

How to Train Your Dragon being one of the best examples in my opinion

  • @insanitystudio awwww i agree HTTYD soundtracks are the best!!!

  • @xXAyereaXx

Yes it is!!!! The movie was phenomenal as well.

  • @Eyeglompyou nope, not just you pal

  • @Eyeglompyou Not always. There are adult movies with epic music. Inception, King Kong, etc. But you are right, there are more kids movies with epic music than adult movies.

  • This is what freedom sounds like... If i had my own country, this would be my national anthem song...

  • 1:38 <3 <3 <3

  • I LOVE Dinosaur's music! I also liked "An American Tale's" music which I found on youtube recently and I just about died cause that is awesome music as well =D

  • James Newton Howard... sounds like "Atlantis", so great compositor =)

  • THI SONG IS THE MOTHER OF ALL MUSIC!!!!!!

  • 1:39 i closed my eyes during this part and i swear i was flying.

  • James Newton Howard is a genuis! This is bringing back childhood memories.

  • Ive had songs send chills down my spine before, But THIS one, Send chills from my head to my toes

  • 1:39 - Yup, I teared up.

  • I wish i was that egg <3

  • I know Kron dislikes this, but who it the other dislike?? *smoke out of ears*

  • @Eyeglompyou the Carnotaurus

  • @Eyeglompyou The 2 Carnotaurs

  • At 1:39 the theme shares the exact same melody with the themes of Disney's Atlantis and Disney's Treasure Planet.

  • @ilikacake

All three movies had their score composed by the same person, so I guess that's not all that surprising.

  • at the beginning I thought of the little jawas from star wars^^

  • I got to play this song with my orchestra - it's a great feeling to play and listen to it! ^^

  • A tsunami of nostalgic awesomeness just hit me

  • 2 people were eaten by Carnotaurus D:

  • @BetrayAtMidnight If they were eaten, then how did they click the dislike button?! O . o

Maybe they were reincarnated as another creature......and memories of their former life came back.......and....god I'm bored. -__-

  • @Cr1ms0nRav3n

    God you're brilliant xDD

  • @BetrayAtMidnight Don't you mean eggcelent?

  • @BetrayAtMidnight I'm.....................brilliant? Thats the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me,next to "hey you got a bugger hanging on the rim of your nose" :')

    I'm still bored though. -__-

  • @Cr1ms0nRav3n You're not just brilliant, you just well may be a genius.

My people are researching this statement at the moment.

    Then go be not bored? :D /shot/ ;;;;

  • @BetrayAtMidnight *blushes* ^/////^

  • @Cr1ms0nRav3n

    Ahaha xDD

  • love it!

  • I haven't watched this movie in years, but because of the song I know where the egg is at each part

  • This song makes me fell like im on my way to a 10-hour trip or something! It just gives me goosebumps!

  • god i love soundtracks~ also still watching Disney movies. im 21 now, but they keep surprising me. i've watched a few a while ago, and now i see how much emotion and meaning there is in these movies. Bravo~!

  • this song is EGGCELLENT!

  • @julia0594 First I rolled my eyes... then I gave you a thumbs up! XD

  • Is it wrong to a 18 year old to like Disney movies. I saw this movie few days ago and it was amazing.

  • @suolalemon heck no. im 17 and im still watching Disney films and old school cartoons ! which are the best. the stuff nowadays sucks! cmon...you know Disney is losing ideas when they make a movie about a chihuahau in beverly hills...but i do applaud them for princess and the frog. and tangled was ok(i woulda prefered it to be 2D over 3D)

  • ESPECTACULAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • loved this movie so much

  • sbaglio o è quella di ulisse il piacere della scoperta?

  • @kratosdj95 Siiii, è lei!! Io l'ho trovata proprio adesso!! *___*

  • I remember hearing this at the entrance to the Dinosaur ride at DisneyWorld, and I never felt so alive with wonder...

  • I got goosebumps!

  • 1:38 - almost the best theme in video history. Aside from some others like Pirats of the Carribean and Star Wars.

  • crap film, great music.

  • @jck1794 yeeeaaah they are my favs too 8)

i still watch it once in a while :D

  • @jck1794

nah it was rubbish compared to disneys other stuff. opinions though

  • @TheMithosyggdrassil I always liked it, even if the characters were not as strong...

  • I love this piece. Always have, always will :D

  • how did this not win an awrard for best soundtrack?

  • Thank you very much Typy1. Bless you. =)

  • This soundtrack makes me wanna fly! Like, so bad!

  • i ADORE DINOSAURS THEREFORE I ADORE THIS MOVIE TILL I DIE

  • @dinolover415

    LOL i adore dinosaurs too!

  • If freedom had a sound, this would be it. At least for me.

  • @TigerEyeNoxera amen brother

  • @TigerEyeNoxera Ye, but what is freedom? The freedom you are speaking of, would make civilized life impossible. Unless you truly wish to live like a free man, without any connection to modern society, you can believe in freedom. Before that, it's useless.

  • @K4inan I dont see TigerEyeNoxera explaining his/her view of freedom. Therefore, your comment doesnt make any sense. " The freedom you are speaking of, " what, exactly, is the 'freedom' he/she spoke of? funny, you asked "what is freedom?" and soon after that you comment as if you know exactly what it is, even when TigerEyeNoxera didnt mention his/her view.

  • @K4inan regardless, if you think freedom is useless, then obvoiusly Your view of freedom isnt the same as mine. Stop making assumptions. not all minds think alike. What freedom means to you may be radically different from what freedom means to someone else.

  • @K4inan

By freedom I mean living free, without any rules and obligations the modern world

has set us. I didn't say that it was possible, not even animals are free anymore because of us.

But I can always hope and dream. And maybe someday my dream will come true.

  • @TigerEyeNoxera That would be awesome, but since that vision is most likely never to come true, here's a joke to put a smile on your face.

"Why was the energizer bunny arrested?......................cuz he was charged with battery" pfffffffhuahahahaha!!

    ...................ahh youtube.

    K ....have a good one! bye. :D

  • @Cr1ms0nRav3n LOVE the joke! =D

  • @TigerEyeNoxera Yea. Breathtaking isn't it? I kinda see me flying thru a beautiful saurian paradise, or at least looking down at it from a cliff.

  • I love the movie poster of Disney's Dinosaur!

  • I remember this movie so well...my cousin and I used to root for the Pteranodon, thinking that she, instead of eating the egg, was gonna take it to raise as one of her own...this song just brought that back.

  • I remember seeing Dinosaur in 2000 at a place

called Live Oak Cinema which is in the New Braunfels

and San Antonio Area in Texas!

  • amazing soundtrack :3

    1:15 <3

  • if i had wings ide buy an ipod and play this while flying through canyons, just like in the movie....i can already feel the tears of happinesssss8_ )
