@CasimusxPrime The movie Tron is less about the title character than Kevin Flynn. The Legacy subtitle on the sequel is referring to Sam's son, Kevin. Tron is more of a plot device than a protagonist. The Tron we know and love only appeared in flashbacks in Legacy, and (SPOILER) isn't revealed to have been repurposed until later on in the film.

My guess is he has a two-sided laser pointer device in each hand that he can turn on and off at will. Everytime he puts his hand over the light he just blocks it and turns on one side of the pointer.

It's even more impressive once he starts twirling the light batons since he basically has to time it right. Similar to conjuring with photon lights :)

What I can't figure out is when he is able to put them away for the second half...
