  • this beat is nice for reals 5*'s

  • has a Rza ring to it.

  • Kind of reminds of reminds of DJ Shadow or Dan The Automator with a Pete Rock vibe. I think the lowpass on the sample gives it the Pete Rock vibe while the bassline reminds me of DJ Shadow and the sample reminds me of Dan The Automator.

  • Yeah I know lol. Ive been studying his music/ technique for a while. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who's noticed that kind of stuff in his music. But Idk. I don't want to mimick his style EXACTLY, ya know? I kinda wanna take in my own direction. And thanks about the drum kit. I sampled it from a pretty dope drum break on a record I found in my gma's collection. It's a secret which break it is though hahaha. Anyhow, all in all...Thanks for the feedback, man. I'm glad you like my shit.

  • If Pete Rock's your main influence, you gotta make it a bit faster, quantize your drum track to a 16th-note triplet, and make those 8th-note hi-hats tighter! Still really feelin' it and lovin' the drum kit, bruh. Peace.

  • DJ Shadow has a new protégé. Peace.

  • Actually...DJ Shadow wasn't really that much of an influence on me. More Pete Rock than anything.

    But thanks.
