Nah. At most they'd give it a Side-story, since it wouldn't be as interesting seeing an already developed character stay static and his whole plot revolving around his past.

Part of the role of the protagonist is character development (or, in other words, going from a wuss to degrees of badass)

How these people compare Asakin with Masaki and Shurouga with Cybuster is beyond me. I mean, c'mon! They don't evel look alike.

The complete opposite, actually. Asakim is an anagram to Masaki, they are both voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa, Ray Buster is EVIL Akashic Buster, and Rumbling Discalibur is EVIL Blade Dance. Asakim and Shurouga are, obviously, evil mirrors of Masaki and Cybuster.

Well if he gets introduced in the OGverse I'd like him to be like the fears and evil emotions of Masaki materialized and in the end they become one (cybaster and shuroga too) so they form a really cool character (with a magnifisent machine to boot)

Based on the vids and info so far the original enemy isn't even a unified force. From what people have been saying, the gy people have dubbed as "NotMasaki" (asakim) is here because he's apparantly being chased by some dude people have dubbed as "NotShuu". Then there's the clip of the final boss oneshotting another original enemy. No idea what that's about.
