  • I live where he was born and I've met his brother.. really cool guy.

  • One of my favorite all time rock riffs. Smokehouse from Ill. did a great cover of this tune, and that turned me on to the other Tommy Bolin riffs when I was in college. He really was a master of rock guitar at that time. Still enjoy this stuff to this day.

  • Awesome song. Motley Crue did a great cover too.

  • Ive got some catching up to do but I am really enjoying listening to some of these songs for the first time

  • How did I miss so much of TB's music I grew up in the 70's I remember him with Billy Cobham but not sure why I missed out on all these rock tunes!!!

  • ANOTHER Wicked groove from Porcaro....!!

  • cant believe any one cared HE WAS BAD ASS!!!!!!!!

  • One funking great guitar player!!!

  • Saw Tommy play in New York City at the Bottom Line Club.Un friggin real Back in the Mid-70s So underated. God rest your Soul Tommy Thank You!!!!

  • Teaser is one of those songs where all you need to hear is the first note and you know exactly what song it is! My first husband loved Tommy Bolin and played this album til I think he wore it out. I think him turning me onto Mr.Bolin was the only thing I can honestly say he did worth while!

  • Tommy is a musical Master

  • Saw him in the summer of 76 with Frampton and Jeff Beck. God what a concert!!!!!!!!

  • They need to digitally remaster and re-release his catalog of albums. Get his stuff back out there for the new generations to hear.

  • @DJMarl Especially now since Sony-BMG (who owns the rights TB's "Teaser" & "Private Eyes") is doing a "2 for the price of 1/back to back album" album deal (digitally remastered & all.) Both Bolin albums went Top 100. Sony-BMG should do a "Teaser" & "Private Eyes" back to back deal. I'd buy it for sure.

Why the entire "Teaser" LP is not available at iTunes is a mystery?

  • saw tommy in Denver @ Mile High Stadium w/ Peter Frampton

  • Amazing-Far better than what he used to do with deep purple...

  • The man...the myth...the legend,, one of the greatest guitar players of all time...hands down. rip tommy.

  • Fantastic guitarist!

  • MOTLEY CRUE did this cover

  • @tsvetanstoychev ....Nicki Sixx ADORES Tommy Bolin...and Mick Mars as well....they love Tommy.

  • you gotta hear the 2006 remix version. its fuckin loud and they put some better bits in

  • you can see why purple employed him pity that he died of drugs such a waste RIP Bolin

  • @tmouncher1 Without drugs he could have been a new Blackmore.

  • I cut my teeth on Tommy, early Skynard, and the Nuge... I feel it's made me a better person, and a way cool guitarist.

    Bless their hearts..

  • My dad got me hooked on Tommy when he dusted off some old pictures, taken the same night that "First Time Live" was recorded at the La Paloma in Encinitas. Fantastic guitarist.

  • i found him on a free cd from a newspaper

  • Next to jimi hendrix...TOMMY BOLIN was the greatest guitar player of all time...who could play ANY type of music on the guitar...ANY TYPE and thats what made he great....100 times better than that nerd....Blackmore. R. i. P. Tommy Bolin...Dec 4th, 1976

  • voce falou tudo cara.depois que comecei a ouvir tomi bolin notei que blackmore ate é um guitarrista de potencial, mas acima de tudo um grande palhaço.

  • You need to check out Rory Gallagher, then your statement will be different.

  • Saw Rory. He was good. Peace.

  • Distintive style? Tommy Bolin IS Still A guitar Frikkin GOD U Cheeseball!

  • Hey, "winterlandkid" , you are not very observate! Of flipping, f...... course the man was a "Frkkin GOD"! Did / do you see the 'quality' of the comment! He was a phenomial guitar player; it was too bad he did not come to realize that ! 'You of course, realized this and no one else did' Yes, he did have a distinctive style; he made the flipping guitar 'howl'! Any one, else, except yourself would have never guessed who it was; if a 'trivia' question was ever 'raised'!

  • Thanks for posting this... wow's_ville

  • Such a profound loss,

    ...gone way to soon!

  • love and miss you Tommy!!!You will never b forgotten!!!

  • I was first turned onto TB in Iowa City in 1978 by my pals at the U of I. Thanks for sharing...

  • Still one of my favorite guitar players of all time, sadly taken from us.

  • The demo version of this tune is very different, more spooky and just guitar and vocals and definitely cool in and of itself.

  • I'm from his hometown (Sioux City), and saw him perform in a place called Buffalo Alice's after he played his Tour date at the auditorium, a few months before his death. He did a lot of improv of Private Eyes songs, and if memory serves, was backed by a few locals.

It's great to hear without the skips and pops of my vinyl copy. Many thanks!

  • Too bad there is no video of Tommy back when he was with Zephyr. It would be pricelss.

  • I was luchy to see him with Zephyr, two times, Friday and Sunday, back at the Mile High Rock Festival, in June-July 1969. Zephyr was the best part, even with great teams in such as Johnny Winter, Iron Butterfly, Hendrix, etc etc.

  • There is video of Tommy with Zephyr. I posted a

Tommy Bolin guitar solo from the Zephyr era...check it out! Other stuff is out there, but not much that includes original audio, as does this cool Zephyr video of Tommy's solo.

  • would love to find some live footage of Tommy,

love this album...and have somewhere got a drawing i did of Teaser cover shot

  • Check tbolin on google were u gonna find some stuff with him and The James Gang.

  • Thanks for the quality offering of Tommy's work. I enjoyed all of the audio you posted very much. It's been a while since I heard that album.
