there's so many meanings to the song and everyone has their ideas of it; cheating on someone, cancer, drug addiction. when u put all of those ideas together and u think about each one through the song u always get the same result and same feeling so i think that everyone is right, whether that idea was the intention of the song or not.

Rumour has it that this song was actually written by gary to say sorry to his girlfriend after he cheated on her. For him, it was like the end of the world. That's why he themed the music video this way. If you apply the lyrics to the message of saying sorry for making a stupid mistake in a relationship, you'll get the picture. The ironic thing is that he says 'I promise I'll do anything you ask... this time'. But time is running out as you can see. There's no time left. That's what I think =)

I think that the album this song was from was dedicated to his ex or something...even though the video shows that it's the end of the world or whatever, I still think that it's about him apologizing to his ex for cheating. I don't deny that it's possible a person can be genuinely sorry for doing something, *he* just doesn't seem like he really is. It's almost like by turning this into an apocalyptic scene he's saying, "Look babe there are worse things than me cheating on you!" lol.

well, simply put: when people cheat, they don't accidentally fall into bed with someone... the cheating is deliberate, they know what they are doing is wrong, hurtful and they do it anyway because they 'enjoy it.' I don't think it means the person can't be genuinely sorry afterwards. they feel regret because hindsight makes it clear what they did was a mistake.

I think that deserves forgiving... not saying I could do it though, lol
