Luis Bunuel Tribute

Bubuel is one of my all time favorite directors second only to Stanley Kubrick. I don't think in today's pc world would find any money or realease which is exactly why we desperately need someone with his savage eye for hypocricies of culture and religion.

we need another Bunuel... there are a bevy of genius filmmakers but none take the absurd risks that Bunuel took. I guess films like this would be too hard to market nowadays

I would imagine his films weren't that expensive to produce. Little to no special effects, everything is in the acting and script. I remember reading in his autobiography he had very high work ethic, always kept the deadlines, shooting times, never steped over the planned budget etc.

Hey you fans out there - what were the films with all the guns?

The sniper shooting people in the tower is from the Phantom of Liberty. The vision of the pope getting shot is from The Milky Way. The gun at the party and the Bishop with the shotgun in the barn is from The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeois.
