Anderson Silva is so good because he has all the tools including the most important one, his brain. He is a very smart fighter who realizes that fighting is like a chess match. With that said, even Superman has his Kryptonite. Silva's weakness is against Asian fighters. The best bet for Anderson to lose is against a top level Asian fighter. Just the way the Universe works. If they fight, I'd bet money on Cung Le.

I think Cung Le defense and striking efficiency will make it very hard for Anderson Silva to dominate. Silva's kicks and knee strikes which works so well against other MMA fighters will be countered by Cung Le's trips and throws which western fighters are unfamiliar with. But if Cung Le doesn't follow up his throws with ground punching Silva may get a lucky knockout in the ending minutes.
@3crusade The UFC does not have all of the best fighters. Cung Le fought some of the top strikers in the world, and sure he hasn't fought all of the best in MMA. He's still new to the sport. Most MMA fighters get to start doing amateur fights, and then move onto low end pro fights, and work their way up. Cung Le had to start at a high level in MMA, so give him some time.

Anderson Silva is so good because he has all the tools including the most important one, his brain. He is a very smart fighter who realizes that fighting is like a chess match. With that said, even Superman has his Kryptonite. Silva's weakness is against Asian fighters. The best bet for Anderson to lose is against a top level Asian fighter. Just the way the Universe works. If they fight, I'd bet money on Cung Le.

full respect to Cung for his ambition, but honestly...c'mon seriously, he is not the man to beat Anderson. he defo has the power to hurt Anderson, and hes elusive enough to avoid a lot of the bigger shots for maybe 1-2 rounds, but Andersons reach and reflexes, not to mention his ruthless aggression is more than a match for Cung. how ever, both fighters are really intelligent and i think it'd be a great chess match in the first 3-5 mins(first rnd).

I think Cung Le defense and striking efficiency will make it very hard for Anderson Silva to dominate. Silva's kicks and knee strikes which works so well against other MMA fighters will be countered by Cung Le's trips and throws which western fighters are unfamiliar with. But if Cung Le doesn't follow up his throws with ground punching Silva may get a lucky knockout in the ending minutes.

@3crusade The UFC does not have all of the best fighters. Cung Le fought some of the top strikers in the world, and sure he hasn't fought all of the best in MMA. He's still new to the sport. Most MMA fighters get to start doing amateur fights, and then move onto low end pro fights, and work their way up. Cung Le had to start at a high level in MMA, so give him some time.

Nowadays most martial arts grade on demonstations of technique rather than having to win fights for your gradings like it used to be. Yeah I think both fighters are good but Lyoto is better and more skilled. And most of the time I end up falling asleep during Lyoto's fights because his style of fighting seems to work for him great at least up until his fight with Shogun. But it's just not as entertaining to sit there and watch a guy just stand there and wait for their opponent to set themselves up for a trap rather than going in balls out like these Muay Thai brawlers.
