@ZEMDOKU The car had a tendency to spin out on wet surfaces,perhaps the spoiler would work but it does ruin the lines. I was an original owner of a 1970 and I had it for 7 years until the engine seised.
When you parked you had to hope the car in front of you did not back up,for he would ride up over your bumper.
@captspock1 meanwhile these cars are rare...here in germanyx you see them not often...one in five years ;) ...when i was a boy there were a lot of them...greetings a !!
@ZEMDOKU Thank you and your automobile manufacturing for making my Opel GT and my current BMW.
I purchased mine in the spring of 71 at a Buick dealer ,they were the ones selling them. In 71 there were not many FGN cars here ,hard to service parts and all. Opels were not your common car more VW,MG's and Triumphs. The Buick dealership never liked servicing the Opels they took time and the profit was low. Opels here are just about nonexistent,probably some on the west coast,I am in NYC PEACE
@captspock1 ohhh i have been in nyc 4 times...in the late 80th and 90th...i like it very much...and for me the american cars of the 60th and eraly 70th are the best...a mercury cougar is great...and a lot of others too...nowadays car design is more or less boring...to much computer-design...greetings armin !!
@ZEMDOKU My first car was in 1968 I bought a 1966 Pontiac GTO with 389 cu in motor it had an automatic trans.It was the only automatic I ever owned I went to Woodstock music fair in it. It was fast but as with all American cars it floated on the road you had no road feel I have never owned another american car since.
@captspock1 ohhh wow...such a pontiac is something you can not find here...i had one like that as a toy...it was a cabrio...hehe...and ?...you have been on the legendary woodstock festival... ? or is the woodstock music fair something else ??...if it was the woodstock festival you may have seen jimi hendrix....and there were so many great bands....i was 10 years old when woodstock took place...
Yes Jimi was one of my favorite artists. I had tickets to see him at the old Filmore east in NYC on new years eve 1969 the band of Gypsies concert,but I did not go, one of the 10 things in life I would do over if given a chance. Peace
@captspock1 ...well i can understand that it is a pity to have missed jimi playing with the band of gypsies...wow that band was cool...i go here usually to see unknown bands in town...in very little clubs...i like that...long ago i saw frank zappa in cologne it was in the 80th...i want to go to a concert soon...usually i go with a friend...we prefer guitar bands...punky is ok too....nice greetings from freiburg germany....armin
@ZEMDOKU I still go to clubs in nyc,during the 80's I saw all the up and coming both known and unknown,I knew David Johansen of the NY Dolls I even got to hang at his apt. one evening,And I had the pleasure of having a discussion with Joey Ramone in a bar in Queens ,NY in the early 70's before they became known as The Ramones,Those where the days my transportation was my OPEL GT.Itoo like guitar bands electric blues stuff. @captspock1 wow my friend...these guys are legends...when i was in ny i had the luck to be at CBGB´s...i saw tom tom club there...i liked cbgb´s...we came from a little town in germany anwere in that big city...uhhh then you get big eyes and you are overwhelmed..our favorite bar was the mars bar...did i tell that already on your channel page ?...mhhh....in which part of ny do you live...? no exact address pleas ;) just the area...so i can imagine a little...if you like to tell...
