Best in the world my ass, thats such a bold statement of audiophiles lol. That is why David gilmour got them replaced in his studio because the best in the world rofl.
Bullocks, want the best speakers in the world, get a decent headphone. No acoustical problems or what so ever and properly cheaper then a old monitor of that caliber.
Now you're just making stuff up. Anybody with an interest in sound and a common sense knows that headphones completely distort imaging. Allright I'll give up some with the introduction of the SPL-like cross-talk functions on some pre-amps.
Then i suggest you go back to sound engineering class! The biggest problems with speakers is the mere fact that 90% of the rooms LACK the acoustic ability. Headphones do not have that little problem, any DECENT audio engineer in a studio can tell you one on one that headset is best way to go. I had headsets on my head that cost triple your entire setup.
I suggest you visit a studio, then make that nice argument hard . istort imaging. <---humor..
@Secondlifecreator LACK the ability to cross-feed? yeah like there's a wall in the middle of the room preventing crosstalk.. If you're talking about frequency response you have a point about certain types and sizes of rooms. We compare mixes made on headphones vs the ones students made in on speakers, and the same faults keep popping up time and time again with the headphone mixes. I would like to see that headset that costs 3 times a neve vx 60 though.
