  • oh crispin, there aren't enough men like you on this poor earth.

  • i still dont get the guy with down syndrome thinking hes Michael Jackson

  • I love this man. I would love to just talk to him.

  • What movie is he promoting?

  • @BeveragesAfterNine "what is it?"

  • @mildew2yahoo oookay thanks.

  • no one here has even seen The White Diamond so please stop posing like Herzog fans.

  • how do I see the full interview. the link on the net that used to be about had died.

  • i love this man!

  • I can't believe I'm saying this... but if you close eyes, Crispin kind of sounds like Kermit the Frog! In all seriousness, Crispin is very very sexy.

  • i want him.

  • I'm making my lunch!!!!!!!!

  • That suit

  • ... What Lorraine? What?

  • when americans try to sound smart

  • @mik23276 You really should close your mouth, you are really making yourself look stupid.

  • Is ....that Tom Green?!? I didn't even notice him.

  • Has everyone missed the fact that it was Crispin's voice - prerecorded - that asked all of those questions?

  • another half brain blabbering

  • @mik23276 Yeah but you shouldn't put yourself down like that though.

  • He's not putting on a persona. He's a well-above-average intelligent man intentionally speaking clearly in order to convey important information accurately. Adults do that.

  • @tathagata40 very well said! :)

  • @MahaloCalm

There's nothing too profound or new about what he's saying.

  • @TrevorKingKwong Nothing profound or new yet he is doing things that people wouldn't do with his career as a highly paid and quite respected actor.,

  • @terryfink

And I respect that very much. It just doesn't affect me. But my opinion should change no one else's honest opinion about him.

  • @TrevorKingKwong doesn't affect me either man, Its just good that he makes the movies he wants to make on the back of being paid for mainstream movies. I like that.. I don't fall for all of it though, I've seen Crispin Glover in a many Normal interviews, so it pains me to say that this is kinda an act. For instance he adds 'Hellion' to his middle name for his crazy projects but omits it from Alice in wonderland etc. Perhaps Crispin Hellion Glover is just another Character.

  • @terryfink

Well I think we all try to adopt personas, especially artists. Why do you think this is an act, though?

  • @TrevorKingKwong I'm not 100% sure as this could be 'him' and the other mainstream interviews are him acting, but he seems like an lsd guy on a lot of these types of interviews were as look on youtube and you will find a more 'Pro Actor - serious guy' interviews with him. Either way I'm a fan.

  • wheres the other part of this interview

  • Comment removed

  • he thinks before he talks, that's all there is to it

  • I don't care if anyone says"I dont get it." This is truly the greatest load of pretentious rambling shit I've ever heard in my life.If he wants a porn star with a swastika painted on her forehead to fuck a downs syndrome child with a horse mask on because he wants people to look past morality and embrace surrealism in the hopes that some day we can really address taboo subjects without the social conditioning of mainstream values, he's a cunt. It's not art, he's just an oddball, plain and simple

  • It's so weird to see him talking. Im used to seeing him speechless in charlies angles lol!!!

  • God damn this is pretentious...

  • If he could be president... we have truth here. conceptual art is sane.

  • @stewardsultry Not intelligence. It's so easy to say the artistic bullshit he's saying but it really means nothing. He's saying things that people who pretend to understand art say. He charges people so that they can see his awful films.

  • @fateagleaz Don't hate on Crispin Glover just because you don't understand anything he's talking about. Just chill and stick to watching Transformers.

  • he certainly does public speaking, but to judge him on his way of explaining his work is misguided. i think the work speaks for itself... i enjoy his ideas and art...

  • I think he certainly has a point. But a lot of people seem to mistake his alternate perspective for genius. He is simply a director with some interesting thoughts. Not a genius. He likes questions and unusual things. Don't we all? Crispin deserves credit for what he has done, but not for acting weird or using "big" words.

  • @emperorpenguin64

He went to an academically gifted school and finished high school early whilst still acting. From what we do know, it is likely that the guy is a genius and his biography supports such a claim, and his academic history supports it as well.

I dunno but you are showing signs of insecurity. "Big" words do not exist, rather words of the English language. They just aren't commonly used by the common folk of society which you are accustomed to as it seems.

  • He's right. Our thoughts are not ours, only something we learned from outside influences. We are manipulated by mass media. If we had more like Crispin we might come to realize it and wake up from our stupor.

  • @stewardsultry i question he is intelligent with that small cranium

  • 9:37-10:53

  • I really like this actor. His quirky and odd characters his portrays are outstanding. It is also nice to see how he is outside of film.

  • What an enlightened discussion. I'm so glad I happened upon this.

  • The level Tom Green had to go down to trying to relate to what Crispin was talking about was embarrassing. That being said, it sounds like Crispin could talk about corporate media and media culture for another four hours. He needs to learn how to self-edit a bit.

  • That was excellent. He strikes me as a sociological artist. Very intelligent man.

  • i loved him in the movie "Rivers Edge" he was hilarious.

  • when did Tom Green get another talk show?

  • this is exactly the limit of american's perception of intelligence, eloquence and sensitivity. It`s kind of interesting to see this kind of social anomaly.

  • You're right. Everyone who interviews him cuts him short. If you let Crispin talk, he is uber intelligent and knows exactly why he does things. Tom Green is counter culture as well and isn't afraid of losing his job. Unlike Chelsea Handler, Conan Obrien(oops-toolate), or the other talk show hosts. There's a reason only certain programming reaches the airwaves. Crispin is doing the right thing. That's why they censor him. They want their corporate sponsor $.

  • Butthead!

  • @sindre101 Evil-doer.

  • Great interview!

  • he's very intelligent, who would've thought haha... he speaks and explains his film so eloquently, it's actually quite astonishing.

  • 2:17 Tom Green pretending to know what he is saying but giving up

  • He should be a college professor and just lecture every class in the world. I swear, I could listen to him talk forever.

  • hahà_sÚcht_mÅl_Ñäch:_geldeasy_âuf_góÓglë

  • holy shit.

  • I highly believe that Glover has aspergers or high functioning autism, I mean the detail that he puts in everything is simply genius.

  • @MrCrazyguy145 You labeling him defeats the purpose he has been aspiring towards for most of his career, are you an M.D. who specializes in mental illness by chance (just curious)? Just because he enunciates in a comparably different manner and gesticulates comparably more (more than what you are accustom to) does not denote Aspergers. To a relative degree, everyone probably has Aspergers Syndrome (AS), try not to get caught up in nomenclature meant to limit individuals.

  • I think Crispin Glover is trying to expose the Illuminati or freemasonary. When he's talking about the place between good and evil.

  • @loveuforeverapril20 - You might be right, but 'Beyond Good and Evil' is a direct reference to the Nietzche book of the same name x

  • I met him in Tucson. Friendly guy.

  • I met him in Tucson. Very nice fellow. Likes to take little shots at himself.

  • DOES HE EVER AGE!?!?!?

  • @CheifPaco He did once - compare him in River's Edge to Back to the Future or Friday the 13th 4 - but since then, all that seems to change is his hair. Maybe he's achieved some level of being that makes him immune to the concerns of man?

  • @CheifPaco botox

  • @CheifPaco Him and Rob Lowe must be immortal or something...

  • He spoke splendidly. I wish he would speak better during other interviews. He was made out o be a crazy person. He is very centered,

  • It is great to listen to Crispin glover, a fresh flood of unexpected intelligence in an interview.

    Very rare.

Glover is a great actor and intelligent man.

  • wheres part 2! D:

  • Friedrich Nietzsche: Beyond Good and Evil

  • Very nice, very interesting interview. I have to admit, I hadn't heard a serious Crispin Glover, but I'm impressed.

  • Here's a drinking game for you - everytime Crispin Glover says the word "Corporate", have a shot of Jager. By the end you'll be like Tom Green on the Tonight Show.

  • Comment removed

  • @grendel79 ditto but I would sub in "media" and "culture"

  • This is a great interview. Wow.

  • hmmmmm...Aspergers?

  • Glover has an amazing way of talking, and you can hear his voice, but afterwards it's just like there was nothing said at all. NOW THAT IS ART.

  • If only congress & other presidential levels had as much intelligence & thought as this man. <3

  • @stewardsultry on point.... lol *agrees*

  • I would fuck him. Yeah I said it

  • @pooh783 So would I. I would give birth to his children.

  • @pooh783 with a strap-on or the real thing

  • @myrddinistheshit Either or man, either or.

  • @pooh783 crsipin would prefer a strap-on made of a dead mans real thing

  • It's great to see performers like Glover staying true to the art and not buying into the commercial and industrial cess pool which is now Hollywood. After only a few minutes of conversation it's apparent that he is extremely intelligent and has a firm grasp on what is happening around him. Definitely not an oddity, but merely a genius at what he does. More than a handful of mainstream personalities could learn a tremendous lot from this guy.

  • What a guy.

  • Crispin Glover.... BEAUTIFUL MAN / SPECTACULAR MIND :)

  • He was awesome as Andy Warhol in The Doors!!

  • wait genius? intelligent??? check out crispin's "clowny clown clown" video and rethink your life's decisions please...

  • @ShannonRose1 When you're out of elementary school, you might understand. Until then, keep on doing those times tables.

  • THE CANNIBAL DANCE IS BACK !!! in the video : legris75

  • so many questions !

  • stop saying corporate.

  • tom green and crispin glover are pals - they were in two movies together (the first 'charlie's angels' and 'freezer burn') - so it makes sense that green would show him more respect than other interviewers.

  • he isn't hired because he is anti-coprotate and anti mainstream

sure he's well spoken and tall, and handsome and has awesome hair...b u t

  • I have great respect for both Herzog and Glover.

  • Comment removed

  • @stewardsultry

    ..to be intelligent anymore. ..really?

  • 13 shot of jeger, lol

  • @markfreemon You mean Jäger.

  • Shit, Crispin Glover is highly intellectual. I really have to listen or else I can't keep up with what he says. Great man.

  • Milos Foreman? Was that it? Damn, I know in the Czech republic, there seems to be a good porn industry going!

  • Brilliant discourse aside, that man looks crazy good in black velvet.

  • An amazing pairing, two of my very favorite personalities. It's sad some of you are so harsh on Green, he really does have much in common with Glover.

  • @hollyspry I think the types of people that tend to glom around Crispin Glover maybe take themselves a *little* too seriously...

  • i have to say though, tom green actually did a really good job of keeping things going and focused on crispin. every other interviewer becomes condescending and doesn't seem to know how to act with him.

  • Tom Green seriously cannot campare himself to Glover. Glover has depth, Green does not.

  • Underrated?

  • This guy ages extremely well...still looks like he's in his early 30's, maybe even late 20's. "Hey Mcfly! I thought I told you to never get old again!"

  • @Chris17psi haha good pull!

  • I love his mind.

  • Tom starts talking in an intelligent way at 5:10 LOL

  • He is trying to subtly warn you about the coming fascism in our culture.

You may think him strange, but he is trying to show you the strangeness....around us.

As we transition to a type 1 global civilization, it's important to have a running commentary on the social changes and the aspects of corporate control, no matter how strange it seems to talk about these things, or how uncomfortable it is.

  • @archimech1138 yup fascism is coming.... it is called Islam

  • Jingle Dale, Jingle Dale, makin' sam-iches.

  • He's really quite wonderful in this =)

  • It's a bit annoying that Tom tries to speak of his own experience as though it is somehow comparable. He looks as though he doesn't really get what Glover is taking about.

  • Wow. I have a whole new respect for Crispin Glover. And it makes his intentions in his first appearance on Letterman very clear. Corporate media want to pigeon-hole him as a nerd and a loser. He parodied that by taking the nerd-shtick to an extreme. The man is very intelligent and profound. Wow...

  • Very Noam Chomsky. Very thought provoking.

  • I love that Tom Green held a scowl (maybe intentionally) of having no idea at all of what Glover was saying.

  • There's nothing wrong with saying corporate media, there nothing wrong with corporations in their pure definition. Its when the corporations act as a tool of the establishment and coincide with government agendas that can be dangerous to the thought patterns of your average boobs. We need more folks like Crispin that will think outside of the box and be totally objective. People need to think now more than ever.

  • @HansBooBee What do you think the establishment is?What do you think has the most influence on government agendas?Corporations don't act as a tool for government, government is the tool of corporations.Do you think NAFTA was the government's idea? You are right in saying that there is nothing wrong with saying corporate media. Five large corporations own virtually every media outlet in the country.

  • @crowvella True, at the very top of the pyramid is the banking cartels. That's who I see as the end-all-be-all of the establishment.

  • I'm not sure what Crispin is getting at. I appreciate him and think he is smart, but I think he is misled.

Corporations are simply an business association. Crispin Glover has made a lot of money through corporations.

  • @VictoryCough Wow I wish you were right about corporations being just a business association.

  • He sounds like he could do the voice for Kermit the frog =)

  • THE SLENDER WHITE CHURCH!!

  • I he says "corporate" or "media" one more time...

  • super video bin total Kuschel bedürftig aber niemand da ;(

  • hey you, get your damn hands off of her!

  • love Glover, Tom Green on public access now?!

  • @5winston he's got his own internet based talk show now

  • I definitely hope he is the riddler. If anyone can be a method actor like Ledger was (whom I think was the last of the current generation of actual actors) its Glover.

  • @Litvinenko88 Daniel Day Lewis

  • Glover is a great actor and very intelligent. I don't understand why he is not regarded as a prominent figure as compared to a talentless hack like twlight actors.

  • @Litvinenko88 It's probably the haircut.

  • @Litvinenko88

The answer lies in what he said... "corporate-this...corporate-that..."

Like he said... things that are beyond your typical "good and evil" are called insane and are being neglected They have to be found more actively. That makes them what they are.

I like finding stuff that is new to me, in contrast to the boring bullshit that is thrown at me, which I didnt ask for.

Btw I just came across this guy, thought I knew him from somewhere...it was of course back to the future :D

  • @Litvinenko88 Because he won't shut up and be a good little media-friendly movie puppet like other Hollywood stars. He commits the worst sin of all - he thinks for himself and makes an effort to express his ideas.

  • oh, the things i would do to Crispin Glover ( ;

  • the Riddler ladies and gentlemen! hope nolan puts him in the running for the part.

  • .. Where's the rest of it? ...

  • Brilliant perceptions. I've yet to see What Is It?, not sure why I haven't yet.

  • Mr. Glover has come a long way. A smart man. A good man, I think.

  • i dont thing tom is bored, thats just his face

  • It's ironic that the usually surreal Crispin Glover delivers an interview so coherent it makes Youtube closed captions work properly for the first time in history!

I also like that he didn't buy into going over the Letterman incident all over again. I'll bet he's tired of people bringing that up.

  • This is the most serious and meaningful tom green I have ever seen haha! Even so great interview. he's such a great actor and person!

  • lol tom green...havent watched him in foreverr

  • Great interview... a real pity it stops mid-flow.

  • This only proves how much of an sensitive artist and thoughtful person Glover is and how much of a fuckin' asshole Letterman is!

  • tom green looks bored of life and glover is a really bright man. I feel better now. Or do I?

  • This man deserves so much more attention.

  • Smells like the caller is also Glover. Glover is doing what her likes to do here...

  • Who would have known Tom Green would have one of the better interviews with Crispin Glover?

  • @dantedraco

Well, Crispin is weird, he is also mildly autistic. It is probably easier for him to communicate through a character than it is just as himself. He is very intelligent, he is just not the most relaxed and socially strong person.

  • This almost seems like a game show. Throw a bunch of seemingly unrelated topics at Crispin and listen to him make sense of them so they all connect.

  • @hcabanski

They aren't unrelated topics; the caller was familiar with what CHG has been working on and interested by for a while. You can see that he's clearly happy to talk about that instead of the usual "DERPTY DOOP GEORGE MCFLY DERP"

  • I really like Herzog's "Nosferatu."

  • @ConnerHawke

me too. it's a brilliant film.

  • Crispins been reading Nietzsche!!!

  • @curiosofsigns ha yeah and i love how he claims the phrase "beyond good and evil"

  • @TheDarthHomo He doesn't.

  • @curiosofsigns Beyond Good and Evil. ...maybe???

  • i'm so sad that this type of thinking is not given more mass exposure, both in crispin and tom green... if we are not willing to go outside of our comfort zones, we will be the worse for it

  • great interview! the end was abruptly cut off tho

  • My heart has been stolen,

Such amazing point of views and a way of looking at things with not answers but questions every answer leads to more questions, he speaks with words that are large and often heard in today's society! He speaks wisely and calmly and has a very poised way of carrying himself his voice is sweet and charming too this is what i call amazing, Crispin Hellion Glover you are simply what i interpret... as a man your just... a man

  • Hey McFly!!!

  • wish i could understand all of the things he said.

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

  • his voice is so relaxing, and thats nice of him to answering all those questions X3X i woulda forgot what the dude asked X-x

  • ZOMMG DEH COOPORATIONS ARE COOMINGGzzzz!

  • Awesome interview

  • how many times does this guy say "corporate" in the video? how many??

  • @BagheeraRomeo Do you have a better term
