  • I got to meet him in person! at Commicon in Montreal

  • his face is still orange :P

  • there is no way he could come back and play "Data" again...cos he was killed at the end of Nemesis.....he could come back and play "B4" though:)

  • @iaincro92

Data downloaded all of his memories into B4's neural net so it hints at the possibility that a fully functioning data could be restored... also, Q, and time-travel.

  • I would LOVE to meet him.

  • I wonder how many people e-mailed him, begging him to come to their house or call. =) I'm half-tempted to now. lol

  • @Kinkseraph are you sure that it whas made by humans

  • I don't know what he is talking about being to old. He can still play Data.

  • @Thronsohn

    Even better! :)

  • Anthony Daniels plays c3po in starwars, not Brent Spiner.

  • Yeah, but how funny would it be to have Brent as a captive audience and constantly refer to him as c3po? HAHA!

  • ..........are you serious?

  • Wrong, he was Lt. Commander Data from Star Trek TNG.

  • I doubt these are fan questions. This is an advert.

  • How can u say that?

  • So was Mary Lou Retton and Dan Solly(chan 9 reporter who died)

    Grrr! rude mofos!

  • You posted this in 2 videos, are you upset?

Or no he was rude... its the end of the fucking world.

I bet if i was famous, id have days too when i would rather not be interacting with people.

  • yay, data finially got human emotions. good for him.

  • Dunno why but I can see he without seeing data.

The head move and the mouth openning is just like data's, perhaps after acting data for so long he's got some of his manners.

  • you shouldn't post yet, your not ready.

  • Beg your part? don't know what you meant...

  • nostalgic android!

  • Good old "Bob Wheeler"

    /watch?v=t0NmaBtpnBE

  • My God this is a sexy man.

  • i would LOVE to see an aged version of data. his grey hair in the tng-finale was imho a kind of evolving. and the emotion chip too. why not going further and make it possible for data to age physically?

  • Brent seems like such a cool guy, very unlike nerdy Data, but both seem to be just as intelligent

  • Nigel Fenway bought a Prius. How Hollywood Liberal. :-D

  • woaf

  • hahaha you watch enterprise!!!! its ok me too

  • who is deata?

  • What year is this from?

  • 2008

  • late 24th century? i think?

  • ur statement makes no sense whatsoever

  • poor yah brent is tired

  • I have heard Alien Voices Spock vs Q, both 1 and the sequel. Great stuff.

    I can't get enough Q! lol

  • That would kick so much ass. Do you a source for this?

  • i take it your not talking about spiner because he is still alive and well

if you mean Dr Soong is dead then you misunderstand me, i ment in the new movie series

the new movie takes place before the TNG series that we see the death of Soong so either he would be alive in the new movies or he would still to be born

thats what i was asking people is what age would Soong be in the setting of the new star trek movies

  • actualy nevermind i looked it up and at the time of kirks death Soong would of only been about 10 maby 20 at most

  • although he probably couldnt play data

does anyone think he could play Dr Soong in the new film series? or would the timeline be to far out

i think Dr Soong was about 200 when he died so maby he could play a "middle-aged" Dr Soong

  • he looks better as data

  • Bahahaha

  • The weirdest-ass questions are left on this video.

  • Look, a lot of us thought it was gonna be our year to win Publisher's Clearing House, but Ed had nothing to do with your losing every time.

  • he and loree are not really a couple anymore.... they only live together for their son...

  • issu:

If I may (kindly) ask, how would you know that for sure?

  • Ahh, I could listen to his voice all day.

  • I agree. His voice is so soothing.

Mr. Spiner is such a down-to-earth and humble person. I would love to see him as Data for one last go. He deserves it, and so do all of his fans.

  • I would love another Data. But... they killed him. B4 could always be possible. But it's not the same.

  • They could write it in somehow...perhaps his "memory core"/brain survived or was duplicated beforehand.

It could be done plausibly. Hell, they got "Old Spock" into the new movie universe, and in spite of a lot of the fanboys crying, I thought it worked very well.

Damn, Leonard Nimoy could spend 5 minutes pouring milk into a glass and I would watch it! Mr. Spiner is the same for me. He steals the screen time in every role he takes.

  • I think it was thought of when B4 was singing Irving Berlin's Blue Skies at the end of Nemesis. But with the new movie, it won't be continued any more that the Scotty and Uhura relationship in Final Frontier.

  • Exactly - it takes a brilliant actor to do that!

  • Truth.

  • What the fuck guys, honestly. Please recognize that Nemesis was Out of Character for Data, that Spiner has aged out of the role of Data (As well as all the TNG crew [Except miraculously Stewart who seems not to age but to increase in stoicism and wrinkle]), and that TNG has had its run. It was fucking brilliant, but Generations/Nemesis were a strain on my love for the series. They were beginning to fashion it awry to compensate for the long lost 'spark'.

    RIP Data

  • Furthermore and in regards to the supposition that Spiner 'has evolved into a creepy old cow'...

I imagine thats simply a function of your previously cemented fantasies of how he really is being dismantled :P

It sucks to realise whatever celebrity you like has a personality of their own, independant fromt he one you have given them in your head.

Or at least I can safely assume...

I havent really had that problem for a long time.

In closing: Live Long and Prosper, but not in the Limelight.

  • Good points

  • I respectfully disagree. Data can still come back in some form.

Like Spock before him, his character is timeless. I would also love Q to be included in the sequel to the new Star Trek. Q needs more love.

  • You made me laugh. In a positive way. Thank you!

  • You are very welcome my friend. You can never have enough Spock, Data, or Q.

Their characters never get old for me...oh yeah, and Picard! Can't forget Picard.

Here's hoping the new film will have Q in it...he is a god, and not subject to time, after all.

  • Wow, he's really starting to resemble Noonien Soong

  • I love Brent Spiner is the beautiful smile and gentle eyes as I love him

  • i want him to play data again

  • he was already too old in Nemesis... Data isn't supposed to age or get fat

  • Why is Data talking like a human?

  • He is so beautiful.

  • wow, he looks even better now than he did on his 30' s. mmmmm

  • I dunno, (referring to himconsidering reprising the role of Data) he still has that childlike look in his eyes....just watch the end of the interview....

Great, great actor. One of the best.

  • Comment removed

  • that´s true mishmanna! finally an interview where he seems normal to me and not so arrogant as usualy

  • @mishmannah I've often said that myself. He may have aged, but he still has that youthful sparkle in his eyes.

  • Hmmm so he wants people to write to him and invite him round to their house? cool lol.

  • yeah that´s really cool! but shame he won´t come to germany. He needs his european fans just like we need him^^

  • He hates movies after the 1970ies. That's unfortunate being an actor. :s

  • COME TO ENGLAND!

    seriously..

I love that Album, the first month I had it I couldn't stop singing along. It's beautiful.

I think they should do an animated STTNG, so everybody is happy, like they did for TOS.

  • thanks to Brent for doing the interview, and to U interview for conducting it :)

In my opinion, Mr. Spiners only acting competetion in TNG was Stewart.. I hope he can break the "Type casting" curse oneday soon!

BTW, to anyone that reads this comment, you can get personalised autographed copies of his cd from his website.... I bought one, and not only was my cd personlized, it appeared to be mail by Mr. Spiner himself..

So if you can, buy one, its worth it,and it will support his efforts.

  • Yeah, I guess he does that from time to time. When I got my autographed 8x10 of Data, I looked at the envelope it came in and not only did he address the thing himself (it was all in his handwriting - matched the signature on the promo photo), there were sparkles in greasepaint smeared over the stamp (the Data makeup) where he put that on the envelope himself, too. He's either *really* into his fans or he's *really* bored. XD

  • I saw him in the play called "Life x 3" at Circle in the Square Theatre. Helen Hunt was in it too, it was awesome.

  • His role as Data is epic! but I can relate to him, not playing Data anymore. Come on, after 20 years, in every interview the same questions about "Data", I would hate that role if I were him lol. Good things should end before they´re gonna get washed up and got forgotten. He did a good job in "Superhero movie", too! great acting skills, go Brent! you rule!

  • i thought data had put a physical growth program in his mainframe that allowed him to grow old at a normal rate

  • I was just wondering about Data's aging and you just gave me a good answer.

  • he dose not look to old to play Data to me but his choice.

  • Data rules

  • Why is it that the best ideas always seem to hit people while they're driving? xD
