I would say that the 'speaking' is done so that a computer software is used to say the words and it uses the Finnish language spelling. It sounds like that when you spell everything like in the Finnish language (I'm a native Finnish speaker). The computer software makes it have a difference to how a human would say it, of course, but the point is that the spelling is like in the Finnish language.
