The nature of Margot and Richie's relationship is left rather ambigous by the film's end. What's your guess/opinion on it?

Personally, I think they will go beyond brother/sister boundaries but that's the optimist in me:) Their detached, almost child-like interatctions in this scene suggest that they continue to be somewhat arrest in that unrequited part of childhood:(

Still, how Margot perches on his shoulder like a bird:)

Royal Tennenbaums is a great movie, but I feel so bad for Richie and Margot, so in love but unable to be together.
