@SubzeroedMind If the car was doing a burnout, it would take WAY less force to hold it back. Once the tires start slipping, it doesn't take much effort at all to stop it. Slipping the clutch right to the point of breaking the tires loose would provide the most traction.

If they wanted MAX force, they should have been lettin the clutch out enough to let the tires slip, then pushing it back in tell they stop, so they KNOW it's max force. @ss11311086 actually a hummer h1 from the same year as the diablo, produces only 2 ft/pounds of torque more than a lamborghini diablo. You can know all you want about "engineering" but knowing cars is different. The Diablo also produces 300 more horsepower.
@moonfox3 I'm sorry, I didn't mean hummer h1, I mean a Humvee, which is a similar model for the use in battle field. It's constructed differently from a simple hummer h1 and it can produce even more torque. The reason that a lambo has greater horse power but less torque than a hummer is because that a lambo is far more light than a hummer, and so the frictional force produced is far less. hope this help you.

@DonPlasma I don't really understand what you mean but a hummer h1 definitely can produce a greater torque than a lambo diablo. I have received the bachelor of engineering a few years ago, but I'm not sure if you have more "idea of what torque is" than I do. I think SAU is very suitable for the kind of person like you. Smart-Ass University.

@ss11311086 actually a hummer h1 from the same year as the diablo, produces only 2 ft/pounds of torque more than a lamborghini diablo. You can know all you want about "engineering" but knowing cars is different. The Diablo also produces 300 more horsepower.

@moonfox3 I'm sorry, I didn't mean hummer h1, I mean a Humvee, which is a similar model for the use in battle field. It's constructed differently from a simple hummer h1 and it can produce even more torque. The reason that a lambo has greater horse power but less torque than a hummer is because that a lambo is far more light than a hummer, and so the frictional force produced is far less. hope this help you.

@shasha1873 ;-) It is not mine, but i drove one when i was 14 years old on a farm near my parents house helping the farmer during school vacations. And yes, I am from Europe, Northern Germany.
