  • One of the best oasis video ever....legendary night.

  • Alan White at his best....great drummer!

  • Certainly the best version of this track ever! Superb!

  • What's with the shit timing?

  • @indeedeez ?

  • there's a wine red epiphone riviera on ebay at the moment

  • 4 people sit in a cupboard all alone

  • The That's Supersonic, eh? was my cousin's ringtone. :D I love'd it.

  • Earls court, this is when they were out a doubt at there best, superb live performance never to be bettered. This is when Oasis were the best band on the planet.

  • Anyone who never listened to Oasis songs, PLEASE, don't tell me you have HEARD song before.

  • This one´s pretty awsome, hard to beat. seen the roskilde one and it´s F ing great. The studio recording is the one for those who like the deep sound drum kicking. My self i prefer (good) live variations. There and then VHS gives a good insight for the never seen them IRL fans. Wish they released a compilation of live 93-present day concerts recording. There is on live act with a great intro/outro drum, can´t remember the one please fill in if u do!

GO AND TELL IT TO the MAN WHO LIVES IN HELL

  • @dannecah the studio version was actually the demo

  • Ok... just listen after 3:00 and in the "take you home" tell me wtf do you think of that O.O

EPIC!Legendary, no words to describe it.

  • Fuck. I just watched the 2009 live version before that. This one's so much better, I just add this to my favorites

  • the best version ever! 3:20 EPIC Guitar solo

  • fucking amazing

  • "the best band"? wtf!

  • @myroribrallan95 <<<< bieber fan

  • @twotellys12 yeah, has to be one or the other

  • gay haircut

  • @uzickimajmunac Thats too bad. You should've gotten a better one then.

  • @z3pp3lin15 no, they are ok with gay haircuts

  • BIG ISSUE! <3

  • Noel's superb guitar rounded off an absolutely epic performance by Liam on the microphone. The pair of them made that a top performance.

And the "take you home" 3:02...

  • I work at Earl's Court. It's like "fuchen' ell"

  • Liam's voice here is so amazing! It makes me sad to think that it's so different now :(

  • THIS SHIT IS FUCKING INTENSE!

  • Oasis are NOT a studio band they are a performance band

at least back then when Liams voice wasnt fucked up

  • 3:02 best take you home ever!

  • @ghilliesnake Gave me goosebumps.

  • Fuckin' great Liam performance...everywhere O A S I S . . . . .

  • From 2:15 onwards, Liam's singing is just plain EPIC. Especially how he changes his vocal delivery of "you can't be no one else" and "(...) he'd take you home" makes you fly so high. Thanks Oasis for changing a lot of things in life to the positive.

  • Epiphone should do Noel & Bonehead reissue Rivieras like the Lennon Casino

  • 1:42

    The "Liam Gallagher" angle

  • Noels guitar sound towards the end is spot on. Best version of this song I've ever heard

  • @EVH82 i agree, it's epic

  • Best version!!!

  • Alan White should have never been sacked, he is by far the best drummer out of the bunch and should have been brought back for Beady Eye.

  • wow the difference between liams voice here and gigs even as early as 98 is unbelievable?!? still class, but this has to be the peak of his singing absolutely smashes it!

  • Agreed

  • 94-97 BEST PERIOD

  • "You make me laugh... (you don't really though.)" Ha!

Liam's voice at it's best here. Amazing.

  • I have always loved Oasis, they just fu#king rock. I was at the 96 KC show and my two buddies who went with were like "holy crap, more to them than just 'Wonderwall'!" My license plate at the time on my LeBaron Convertible was LIVE4VR-wild times...always have em with me when I hear this song!

  • im from america and noel can make that guitar sing!!! lol

  • sit back and enjoy. will do, ruaridmac

  • yeah yeah yeah, Alan White was the best drummer in oasis ;)

  • "take you home" at 3:06 = amazing!

  • best gig ever

  • Best supersonic ever!

  • best supersonic ever

  • "you know what i mean man Theres not really much i can say you know what i mean ld say"

  • Does anyone know what LIAM says before the guitar starts playing ????? OASIS OASIS FOREVER

  • Best Supersonic ever!

  • oasis at their peak!

  • epic performance.

  • 94,95,96 best oasis years

  • gigs like this make us realise why oasis was and will always be the best band!!!

  • wish i could have this on album this concert is just amazing

  • So this is what Liam's voice sounded like live before his voice got fucked up

  • 4.55 Liam:someone is gona blow my fucking head on ... I might as well...

  • Liam: Our kid is gonna blow your fuckin' head off...and mine as well.

  • "This one's gonna blow your f**kin' head off.... and mine as well"

  • these were the best days of Oasis

this gig was better than the familiar to millions

  • love the outro on noels guitar pedal effects are second 2 none

  • you cant be no waaan elsse, best line ever written. love thy self.....go for it

  • Liam:thats supersonic eh ...

  • I mean the one from definately maybe

  • Definately better that original supersonic

  • knebworth sold out within 30 mins think it was 74 thousand tickets phone lines where jammed i know cos i tried lol.

  • Interviewer : What was it like walking into Earles Court for the 1st time?

Noel : Fuckin Hell.. Wow, You Sure we Gonna Fill this? Someone Came Up and Said It was Sold Out... I Was there...

the Best there Was..the Best there is.. And the Best That There Will Ever Be.!

  • one of the best concerts ive seen in my life

  • 1:36 epic

  • what does he say at the beginning??

  • something....there's nothing much I can say, you know what I mean?....something

  • Stupefancente...! Questa versione è assolutamente fantastica! Non ho parole!

  • phenominal version

  • what does he say?

"I'm gonna take your fuckin' head off, and mines is wider"?

  • "(something something) was gonna blow me fuckin head off... I might as well"

  • who knows, he's on weed

  • Best version of this song. Best gig of their career's.

  • pitch perfect liam!!!!

  • No band alive today, can pull it off like oasis did in their glory days.

    Fucking Amazing.

  • 3.04 - 3.08 is amazing.

  • Agree totally. Wish he always sang that part like that.

  • Did Noel Get His Teeth Done After This?

  • Comment removed

  • this is it innit? its wat its all about

  • clearly the best live effort...stooopenussss

  • this was oasis in top form!

  • I prefer alan whites drumming on this song. his drumming is so much better than starkeys, chris sharrock or tony mccarroll's. so much more energy :D

  • on this song it's kinda like ginger baker mitch mitchell

    epic performance

  • @christopherbloor

i agree, but sharrock is good and second best in my opinion...

mccarroll almost looked stupid with his drumming technique

  • @christopherbloor One cannot say that one of theese drummers where better than the other, they were good in their own way. Tony McCarroll added the wildness and the punkness to the early Oasis. Alan White added power to the Oasis sound. Zak Starkey added a tight, almost militar sound to Oasis. Chris Sharrock added precision and real passion. I all comes down to what sound you like.

  • people forget how good a singer liam used to be and how amazing oasis were, they're still a good band but this was them at they're peak. amazing, check out the gig in chicago metro 94

  • Also check out their gig at Gleneagles Golfclub, it's amazing

  • im seein the cunts in slane this year ,,, youl never see somthin like this again APPRECIATIE ................... LOOK UP TH EVIL WHEELBARROWS ,,,, next big thing

  • if i could go to any oasis performace, i think id go 2 earls court 95.. looks fukin epic

  • that was an awesome perfonmance because now liam's voice recently is fucked up

  • Oasis in there prime, Fucking brilliant !!

  • i kno i'm not the first to say this, but liam is on fucking point in this vid.

  • This was undoubtedly their finest hour, musically.

Knebworth and Maine Road were great event gigs, but the band themselves were busking it by then, and no matter what you think of Oasis Mk 2, they're still playing catch-up to the standards set here.

Liam was at his peak as a performer, for sure, but they never sounded this vital, powerful or menacing ever again as a band.

Champagne Supernova from this gig is arguably even better.

Fave bit? Noel rawking out at 3:20!

  • water FAAAaaAAaall

best live version.. this or search in supersonic best live..maybe its maine road in 96

and familiar to millions good too

  • i cant help but imagine how unbelievably awesome it would be if liam could still sing like this.... he is still good, but in a different way. he is just awesome here.

  • fucking awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

  • cant get over that second chorus, its the best thing iv ever heard.

  • that is fucking incredible

  • Excellent voice there Liam.. ;D

  • Best liam performance ive ever seen

  • Comment removed

  • phenomenal

  • Who gives a fuck if Oasis are better than the Stones or the Beatles! I mean it's a matter of taste! I'm a Pink Floyd fan, they're my fave band ever. But I admit Oasis rocks, they really crack me up and I even went to see them live.

  • the worlds greatest band, at their greatest

  • One of the best performances of this song.

  • probably the best man.

  • THE best it is.

    Fuckin Stunning.

  • Anybody who says Oasis are better than The Beatles need to screw on their head. Oasis are my favourite band, but they can't touch The Beatles in any way, shape or form.

  • Oasis would destroy the Stone Roses and the zzzzzz Beatles together, i mean just look at this preformace it has everything ye want in a band, any fool whos blind to recognise obviously knows nothing.

  • too right m8

  • Comment removed

  • im a big radiohead, beatles fan too, but c'mon... put ya handbags away and enjoy the music

god bless youtube for this video!

    blew my f***ing head off!

  • the solos sound mint

  • fuckin great vocals

  • noels guitar solo makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck..... EPIC

  • This is SO amazing!!!

But does anyone know why the heck Noel's teeth are like that?!

  • his teeths were like that in the early days but he got them fixed around 1996 :)

  • he got his teeth fixed later than that, but before 2000

  • someone attacked him, which is why he also has a broken nose

  • this track will never be topped.

, simply astronmonical. i dont think there will ever be a better british band than

    oasis.

  • radiohead, the beatles

  • hey, open yr eyes and learn :

stone roses, radiohead, Queen, beatles, the stone...or even blur, u'r nuts

  • are u kiddin me! The Beatles are on par, but radiohead, common at least say the stone roses!!!

  • no! i don't remember commenting on this. wtf.

  • This is of a dvd called there and then, earls court and main road concerts live, amazing dvd!

  • I love the feedback

  • this is the best live version of supersonic! love the faster pace, liam waving to the crowd at the end cracks me up

  • think this is the most ian brown liam ever looked

  • look how twisted liam is at 31 seconds look at is jaw swing haha classic old school oasis

  • Best ever version.

  • wow noel hasn't changed in 13 years

  • can you get earls court live on dvd anywhere

  • One of the best live versions of any song I've ever heard, especially supersonic one of my favourite songs ever, top top stuff.

  • Theres no question it sounds alot 'cleaner' these days. Noels guitar here sounds brilliant, he used the chorus pedals and different feedback on his amps. Theres also the Wah Wah pedals too. Sounds ace. Nowadays its much more cleaner sounding, and he hits the notes alot more cleaner, guess its the sign that he has improved even more as a lead guitarist.

  • They seem to give off so much more energy back then than they do nowadays. I suppose is cos 1995-1996 was the year they exploded in popularity and recognition.

  • trust me man, had you been at Bournemouth at the end of October you wouldn't be complaining bout a lack of energy. Everyone was as mad fer it as they are here and the tunes were belting. Noel's magistery lived on and Liam's presence---wow.

  • You forget they were in there 20's when this happened .. Liam Gallagher is now 36.

He aint allways going to sound the same and have that energy forever.

  • jsut seen them 3 times

oasis fans r nothing but madferit

  • That is the most truth I have heard in years.

  • It puts the bands of today in the shade, it really does. Razorlight,The kooks, The feeling, Keane, Coldplay etc don't get anywhere near this level what so ever.

  • Not at all, so true, a band like Oasis comes along every 10-15 years, and they raise the bar to a level people have never witnessed and so far to a level bands can not even come close to matching.

  • Fuckn A!

  • possibly the best live version of a song by a british band EVER.

  • The only live performance of any song i've heard to match this is the unplugged version of Layla by Clapton. This is the best live oasis song i've ever heard- absolute class!

  • agreed mate

  • liam well looks like ian brown at 0:28

  • liam looks like ian brown from 0:00-5:09

  • omfg............ if i could could have 1 wish it would be to have been at this concert....

  • Quite simply a five minute wall of sound. It's like Krakatoa exploding inside Earls Court! IMOA the best performance from the best set of gigs they ever played.

  • Yeah this is such a fantastic version of supersonic. This whole concert is amazing. The sounds for the instruments are just perfect and Liam's voice is at it's best.

  • Their finest hour, just as they were on the verge of going (cough) supernova.

Sure, great gigs and songs were to come, but they never quite sounded so vital after this

  • This is truly the best live performance of Supersonic. IMHO, Oasis should never have let Alan White go. His drumming is key to their sound. Zak Starkey is, well... okay. Nothing special, honestly. Alan White contributed heavily to that characteristic Oasis sound. This performance should be testament to his importance. The only other drummer they had that came even close to Alan was his brother, Steve, who is simply a monster on the drums. Great video. Oasis is the best.

  • their top 5 concerts:

    1-maine road 96

    2-knebworth... 96?

    3-earls cout 95

    4-brussels 2000

    5-jools holland 2000

    to me of course

  • sit back and enjoy! jajaja

  • We wont ever see the likes of this again, Oasis were the band of my generation. All we get now is shite pop, and shite generic rock. Long live Oasis.

  • hey hey...theres still a younger generation (aka me) that have bands that have the sounds of oasis...fingers crossed lad

  • brilliant band.....best ever IN MY OPINION, no one does it better than oasis, the cockyness, the great live performances...jus brilliant, nothin fake bout them which is the best thing i would say. and as for this song....their best by far "I need to be myself, i can't be no one else" says it all really! genious! RG

  • this is them at thier greatest

  • dont go away is a good tune, but how can u possibly compare it to this. dont go away does not symbolise oasis, whereas supersonic does....more energy, more passion, bigger sound, liam singing, nuff said brother.

  • there can be no doubt, this is the best performance of supersonic ever, and possibly oasis finest ever moment.

  • I agree. Though, Don't go away performed at G-Mex 1997 is up there with this one and quite possibly it's even better.

On a second thought, I can state that Don't go away @ G-Mex 1997 is Oasis' finest moment ever.

  • wish i was there

  • anyone know where i can get this concert on mp3?
