Earls court, this is when they were out a doubt at there best, superb live performance never to be bettered. This is when Oasis were the best band on the planet.
This one´s pretty awsome, hard to beat. seen the roskilde one and it´s F ing great. The studio recording is the one for those who like the deep sound drum kicking. My self i prefer (good) live variations. There and then VHS gives a good insight for the never seen them IRL fans. Wish they released a compilation of live 93-present day concerts recording. There is on live act with a great intro/outro drum, can´t remember the one please fill in if u do!
From 2:15 onwards, Liam's singing is just plain EPIC. Especially how he changes his vocal delivery of "you can't be no one else" and "(...) he'd take you home" makes you fly so high. Thanks Oasis for changing a lot of things in life to the positive.
wow the difference between liams voice here and gigs even as early as 98 is unbelievable?!? still class, but this has to be the peak of his singing absolutely smashes it!
I have always loved Oasis, they just fu#king rock. I was at the 96 KC show and my two buddies who went with were like "holy crap, more to them than just 'Wonderwall'!" My license plate at the time on my LeBaron Convertible was LIVE4VR-wild times...always have em with me when I hear this song!
@christopherbloor One cannot say that one of theese drummers where better than the other, they were good in their own way. Tony McCarroll added the wildness and the punkness to the early Oasis. Alan White added power to the Oasis sound. Zak Starkey added a tight, almost militar sound to Oasis. Chris Sharrock added precision and real passion. I all comes down to what sound you like.
people forget how good a singer liam used to be and how amazing oasis were, they're still a good band but this was them at they're peak. amazing, check out the gig in chicago metro 94

Champagne Supernova from this gig is arguably even better.

It puts the bands of today in the shade, it really does. Razorlight,The kooks, The feeling, Keane, Coldplay etc don't get anywhere near this level what so ever.
Not at all, so true, a band like Oasis comes along every 10-15 years, and they raise the bar to a level people have never witnessed and so far to a level bands can not even come close to matching.
