In the United States they call the Philippine-American War as the Philippine Insurrection, a minor war in American History. I think they still teach that at West Point.
They probably do but that did not stop us from going into Iraq did it. A minor war? It lasted 13 years. You have to read more than that 2 paragraph in your high school history book. Just because it was not taught you in your prescribed textbooks it does not mean its inconsequential. That's what happened to this administration and its advisers.
By the way, I'm Cebuano, Filipino. I know very well the history behind the Phil-American war, especially since my grandfather was a member of the Katipunan. I don't have to read any American-centric history book or that frankensteinish history by Zaide.

Hindi ko napanood yun pero kababasa ko lang yung
bagong libro na tinawag na "The War of Frontier
and Empire" ni David Silbey. Nasa Amazon at Barnes
and Noble ito. Ito ang isa sa pinakabalanse na obra
tungtol sa Philippine-American War. Basahin mo.
