I've always been interested in this game but the lack of a proper hebrew speech pack still keeps me from purchasing it. It's too unreal with that US cowboy speech, I simply can't hear it on Israeli planes.
@canepazzoTannen84 Man, you're italian, why do you want "proper hebrew speech"? I mean, do you even speak hebrew? The reason why they chose english to be spoken by WOI pilots is obvious. Everyone can understand english. Hebrew is not accessible to everyone. Easy.
@intruderalert01 I played other flight sims and personally I wouldn't like if the japanese or german pilots would speak US english or my language just for the reason to be understood by the player. Subtitles can do that job very well. The environment plays a great role IMHO and a sim should try to simulate the reality as best as possibile and speech packs are a basic option included in all the flight games. I even did a pack in my language for EAW years ago because there wasn't one.

In Europe, we have the example of Spain. But the main buyer of this games is surely the US, and americans are known to suffer from this problem too. So even if they did sound packs (which I think they're great), the majority of them wouldn't buy the game because it was too damn hard to understand... Still, I think you're right.

English teaching on primary and secondary school sucks BAD (tons of grammar, almost no listening, no speaking). I´ve learned more English in one year of private academy and from the internet than in my whole school life.
The only option is the "Escuela de Idiomas", but not everybody can afford to go there, its quite time consuming if you really want to pass the exams.
@bfahren I know, but in general, spanish people do have difficulties on learning foreign languages, not because they don't want to, but because of their own language structure. A fair example: the way you pronounce the "j" word. Your "j" is "lighter" than ours, portuguese people, and the english "j", for instance. And your educational and social system doesn't helps at all. Your movies are all dubbed, and the majority of games have the spanish idioma as an option.

But dubbed games and movies are a luxury you have, that turns out to be bad, because it somehow pushes you to avoid learning other languages, simply because of that thinking: "Why should I learn english, if I can play/see this game/movie in spanish?". But I agree that having so many things dubbed makes matters worse, there is no reason for the average Spaniard to learn english.

its more simulation but there are no spins cuz they intended a game that would be fun for everyone, is highly mod-able and that is the strenght of this game + u can fly anything !!! ( with the mods) u can fly the mig-21, mig 23, f/a-18 and many mny others

can anyone help me? I just downloaded the full game from a website...works perfectly, but there's one problem I'm having...it doesn't show the camo colors (even if i change them), they stay silvery like...also with which button do i fire rockets, i havent been able to find that out...under controls...what is the command name?
Palestinians don't have planes. All of Israel's air battles have been against Jordan, Egypt, and Syria. I hope were Israelis, I don't like being the bad guys.
Just go into options and crank up the realistic level, it becomes a litte trickier to find and lock onto targets, especially without those hand little arrows pointing you everywhere.
One thing I don´t like about Strike Fighters is that once an enemy airplanes flies beyond a few hundred yards it dissapears form eye sight unlike Flacon 4.0AF or Il2 1946. Is it the same with WOI?
Really the best way is to go to combat ace and search in the forums because it's been addressed there several times. Most don't like it because it's considered unrealistic.
Really, any of them can be modded to do anything the other can do since they are all by the same man. It's just each comes with missions preloaded. The prettiest right now is WOI, but a patch is forthcoming for the rest to bring them up to the same graphic standard as WOI.

It's pretty much like Strike Fighters. There is a way to edit the config to make the planes easier to see at a distance.
