You also neglect form factor. Have you ever noticed the thinner, or more compact a computer is, the more your paying for specs? Alienware is a fat lappy, the macbook pro kills it in the dimensions, weight, and battery life, compare it to a adamo or envy.

Why are servers so much then? They don't have huge processors or outlandish specs. It's cause they have better logic boards with better I/O reliability. Looking at specs only is a horrible argument.
